  1. Who is making the decision to take 1700 for Chelsea? Saints 3/4/5 in the Prem league with the best team and best football we have seen in most fans' lifetimes, can't get near a ticket. We could have sold 3000 for this!
  2. Palace in the League Cup (the chuffing Lge Cup, midweek!) 2,500 plus.
  3. Swindon away, one of APs first games (where he kept Saganowski and Rasiak? on the bench and hung Patterson out to dry). Full on the terrace behind the goal, and two layers of seats sold out. 2000-plus.
  4. Brentford (when KD pulled outa couple of worldies and Lloyd James scored a screamer). Rammed in the lower terrace and sold out in the seats in the upper stand. 1500+ ?
  5. Getting seriously ****ed off with this smaller allocation malarky. I don't have a ST this season but looking to go to home/away games when it suits, would happily have done 6 homes, 6 aways if I could get tkts but no chance. Banking on going to Chelsea at 50 quid and on telly, i can't believe we've taken 1700 tkts. We had more than 1700 at Walsall midweek FFS!
  6. Room for a small thought for NA tonight? AP started it but NA took us to another level, 'together as one', 'blue line', etc I still see a lot of that now in MPo's approach. Players like MS/AL/RL/JF etc have been schooled in the Southampton Way for a number of years and by golly (gully?) we are seeing the benefits now.
  7. I know others will rightly get the plaudits but how consistent is Clyne? He's been up in the 8's and 9's all season - shame he messed up with the u21s because on current form he should be a shoo-in for England's RB.
  8. Just said exactly the same.
  9. 100% green... as the only 'left wing' party on the slate, 100% 'nice'.
  10. Never mind, you won't have to watch it with our mong/retard fans and endure the s4it/quiet atmosphere all on your own, not sure exactly why you go to games? Pretty much every away match thread contains your comments to this end (see Sunderland for your most recent example of super-fandom), take Xmas off and give us all a break.
  11. You don't really understand modern football do you? 'fans', 'heartbeat', 'glory', when do you really think those things last counted for anything? You'd have to go back to a dim and distant time before regular live TV games and the 'TV money' becoming the be all and end all of everything. Clubs in general, and some would say ours in particular, don't give a stuff about fans. If it upsets you that much perhaps you'd better not be quite so involved with it? It won't ever change till people do something about it, but I expect you will be there on Saturday cheering on our freshly rested super-stars to another very welcome 3 points?
  12. Quick, rename the thread: 'Sunderland 2 Saints 1 - Match and Over-reactions'.
  13. Reed excellent, winning headers now. Gaston shoulda done better there.
  14. When they cut to a different view how man nano seconds does it take you to realise we are NOT the team in the RW stripes? The ball fizzed across the goal earlier and the RW man was closing in, out of my chair till I realised it was a chance to them....
  15. Lee has always had good pace and movement, we never had anybody that could use it.
  16. Solid start from Cork, very mobile player.
  17. This works great, logged on just in time to see Fox 15 yds out of position and their RW get a dangerous ball in. Plus ca change.
  18. Great news that Lallana has travelled. For someone with his history, and for someone that was regularly being subbed on 70 mins, his 'numbers' must be really good at the moment. A key player for us this season so hopefully he won't get on tonight .
  19. Mike Channon Eric Martin Chris Nicholl Ron Davies .............. None We haven't had many Irish players down the years have we? Who was the last decent Scot we had? Probably Telfer, but who before that?
  20. 1-1 and pens still looks on.
  21. Two players for every position - the cups are where the reserves/squad players get their competitive football nowadays. I wouldn't be taking any of the first team starters away midweek where we don't need to. KD CC JOS/YOSHI FOX JACK / DAVIS ISGROVE RAMIREZ GULLY (LEE) OSVALDO Not the worse side in the world, Sunderland have loads of players that GP will want to look at, and suspensions too, so they won't be full strength either. 1-1 and pens anybody?
  22. To win the Capital cup: we need to beat Sunderland away, Chelsea home, a two legged semi v (probably) Man C or Man U or Spurs, followed by a final (probably) against one of those three ... 2 games, plus a two-leg semi, plus a final, no obvious easy game in there, 16/1 with PP to come through those 5 games. To win the FA Cup we need to win 4 games, plus a knock-out semi and a final. Draw currently unseen but will include a smattering of lower league and non-league sides in rounds 3 and 4 (and on recent form on into round 5, and 6), PP will give you 33-1 about us winning 6 games and the FA Cup. Are we twice as likely to win the League Cup as the FA Cup?
  23. Not sure where (or why?) you are feeling 'hand pressure'? Not generally an issue in my experience, I usually wear padded mitts but I am equally comfortable without them. After a long ride I can get tired across the shoulders or perhaps an aching lower back but I've never had problems with my hands/arms per se. Did you get the bike set-up when you collected it? I'm guessing your at least averagely fit core-wise so your hands shouldn't be taking any 'pressure'. Perhaps your bike is a fraction too long? (And it will only be a fraction, try moving the saddle forward ever so slightly)???? If it's further out than that perhaps a shorter stem would give you a better riding position? Sounds like you are getting into it, impressed with your schedule.

    Top 8?

4 teams need to pass us for us to finish 10th, 6 teams for us to finish 12th. Utd and Everton ought to pass us, not sure who else might at this stage? If we can stay fit, fresh and injury free, and we can add one or two in Jan we have every chance of staying 6th-7th-8th.
  25. 'Interesting', I saw it on a stream and it looked stonewall.
