Test to determine your brain age
sandwichsaint replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Muppet Show
Real age 52, test age 36 after a bottle of red and with one eye on the football, I'll take that. -
Certainly a better midfield than Man U........ perhaps Rooney could be the last piece in the jigsaw, would be awesome in our side;)

Lallana getting going now. England very disjointed, CBs and keeper all over the shop.

Carlisle 3 - 2 Saints - post match reaction.
sandwichsaint replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
A great read, 'Lambert struggling at this level', 'MS, is he any good?', 'Should Lallana be moved into the hole?' '4-4-2' 'Fonte more suited to the Prem' (prescient that one) etc etc. Selection dilemmas all over - KD or Bart, Harding or Dickson, Punch or Lee Holmes? Is NA up to it? We've come a long way, but a part of me will always enjoy the L1 days, some of the best times I've had as a Saints fan. -
Awful, we'll never get anywhere with him on the books.

Roy, 'and in my 5 year plan we win the 2018 World Cup' NC, '5 years? Dontcha know that 5 year plans are so passe?'

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Hull City

The Hull Daily Mail you say? England 4 Hull 1 -
Nathaniel Clyne down the line, down the line etc with a quick verse of We can have a wee wee, we can have a wee wee We can have a wet on the wall for added surrealism.

Which forum genius said last weekend we had missed our last chance to go second? a) Glasgow or b) Barry?

Are you sure? Too young for the 'sand injections' that rendered it like Brighton beach for the remainder of the season (late 70's/early 8's?)? Saw some real old-fashioned mud baths there, Blackool home in the FA Cup, Brian O'Neill ploughing imperiously through ankle deep mud without the oppo getting anywhere near him. (TBFthe Delll often had an excellent playing surface)

You're probably right but just annoying that no away games (?) have gone anywhere near general sale. Ladysaint nailed it earlier in the week when she said (and I paraphrase) that we don't have 2000 fans going to every away game, we have 2000 ST numbers taking all the tickets but they are going to different people each week. Not sure what would be a better system but there seems to be quite a bit of untapped away demand not being met? Just to give you an idea of the numbers involved I would like to have gone to West Brom, Norwich, Arsenal and Chelsea and that's 3 or 4 tkts for each... 1700 for Chelsea? We took more to Walsall mid-week!
-
Who is making the decision to take 1700 for Chelsea? Saints 3/4/5 in the Prem league with the best team and best football we have seen in most fans' lifetimes, can't get near a ticket. We could have sold 3000 for this!
-
Palace in the League Cup (the chuffing Lge Cup, midweek!) 2,500 plus.
-
Swindon away, one of APs first games (where he kept Saganowski and Rasiak? on the bench and hung Patterson out to dry). Full on the terrace behind the goal, and two layers of seats sold out. 2000-plus.
-
Brentford (when KD pulled outa couple of worldies and Lloyd James scored a screamer). Rammed in the lower terrace and sold out in the seats in the upper stand. 1500+ ?
-
Getting seriously ****ed off with this smaller allocation malarky. I don't have a ST this season but looking to go to home/away games when it suits, would happily have done 6 homes, 6 aways if I could get tkts but no chance. Banking on going to Chelsea at 50 quid and on telly, i can't believe we've taken 1700 tkts. We had more than 1700 at Walsall midweek FFS!
-
Room for a small thought for NA tonight? AP started it but NA took us to another level, 'together as one', 'blue line', etc I still see a lot of that now in MPo's approach. Players like MS/AL/RL/JF etc have been schooled in the Southampton Way for a number of years and by golly (gully?) we are seeing the benefits now.

I know others will rightly get the plaudits but how consistent is Clyne? He's been up in the 8's and 9's all season - shame he messed up with the u21s because on current form he should be a shoo-in for England's RB. -
Just said exactly the same.

Check you political allegiance; an interesting test.

100% green... as the only 'left wing' party on the slate, 100% 'nice'. -
Everton v Saints - Kick off moved to 1:30pm on Sunday 29th December

Never mind, you won't have to watch it with our mong/retard fans and endure the s4it/quiet atmosphere all on your own, not sure exactly why you go to games? Pretty much every away match thread contains your comments to this end (see Sunderland for your most recent example of super-fandom), take Xmas off and give us all a break. -
You don't really understand modern football do you? 'fans', 'heartbeat', 'glory', when do you really think those things last counted for anything? You'd have to go back to a dim and distant time before regular live TV games and the 'TV money' becoming the be all and end all of everything. Clubs in general, and some would say ours in particular, don't give a stuff about fans. If it upsets you that much perhaps you'd better not be quite so involved with it? It won't ever change till people do something about it, but I expect you will be there on Saturday cheering on our freshly rested super-stars to another very welcome 3 points?

Quick, rename the thread: 'Sunderland 2 Saints 1 - Match and Over-reactions'.

Reed excellent, winning headers now. Gaston shoulda done better there.
