He's captain most weeks yeah but prefers CM. He does tend to play CB in 16s due to lack of options there though. Been playing full back for 18s recently. I see him as CM long term but he's got to start adding more to his game in an attacking sense. Very composed on the ball and reads the game quite well. Saints reckon he wont grow far beyond 6'2 but hes about 6' already so they might be wrong.

I don't think we'll ever be in danger of missing this quota to be honest. More that our profile has increased meaning we have a much larger pool to cast our net in.

Aldo is playing along for publicity. He won't be bothered by McGregor's antics, he'll just be seeing £ signs. Will be a great fight but Aldo is in a different class to anything CM's faced before. Would love to see CM win but think Aldo will have too much and will take it on points.

Read an article on Teamtalk a few minutes ago that Pelle has covered more ground that any other forward this season. Obviously that is not taking in to account most other forwards play for a club that can afford to rest them but still quite an impressive and surprising stat. Perhaps we should encourage him to be a bit more selfish and give us more of a focal point to our attacks as a lad of his size should offer.

I'm not sure the Middle East is considered a priority area for scouting. It's hardly a hotbed of talent is it? Arsenal will be running those academies for branding exposure and financial gain, not for picking up prospects for their academy. If they stumble across one or two prospects, it is of course a bonus but I'm sure it won't be their main priority.

Of course we will still be scouting locally but our profile and reputation now allows us to be an attractive proposition for talents much further afield. We would be crazy not to take advantage of that. I know a lot of the under 16s quite well and regrettably the club were probably correct in who they kept on and who they released.

Don't read too much in to youth team results. Our ethos is all about producing potential players, NOT about producing great teams/getting great results. Slats is a good prospect but possibly slightly ahead of his natural curve due to pressure being applied on the club by those around him. Certainly wouldn't bank on him "making it" just yet.

You could also argue we have been somewhat out of sorts recently in comparison to our form earlier in the season. We have still ground out a fair few results in that time whilst not playing very well. What's to say we get Toby back along with Morgan and Wanyama together, J-Rod back for the last 6-10 games, Tadic back on form after his rest, find out how to hit the back of the net a bit more often? The other sides around us have picked up their form/results but all are still more than capable of dropping a few points too. I think some people are under-estimating what a fantastic position we are currently in.

No. We have a realistic chance of getting in the top 4 and potentially changing the landscape of English football for the forseeable future by qualifying for the Champs League. We have to give it our best shot. We are currently 4th by merit, not by accident. We may not finish in the top 4 but the players deserve the chance to go for it. Europa League will not be incentive enough for the likes of Morgan and Toby to stay. Champs League might.

I'm concerned by his kicking and the fact he's constantly glued to his line. Wish he'd have more confidence when the balls hung up in the penalty area to come and claim. Otherwise, fairly decent and a good platform to build on.

Bought my first ever bike (since I was a kid anyway) today on the Cycle to Work scheme. Went for a hybrid Whyte Shoreditch. Looks nice and understated and has a carbon fork which I am told is something to get excited about... He threw a snazzy blue helmet in for free along with a drinks holder and bottle. Is the bike any good as a place to start? Mainly going to be using it for work which is about 7 miles each way.

If Dzeko was available I'd be clammering for us to get him. Top player for what he does. Would suit our system perfectly. Think he would have more glamorous suitors than Swansea and Saints though in fairness.
