  1. Barbecue Kettle Chips all they way. I'm a man of expensive taste. I have been known to slum it with a bag of picled onion space invaders though.

    Coffee

    Like your men?
  3. Similar story, I was in Winch visiting my Mum when the Skates where playing Spurs in the FA Cup semi final last year. Thought I'd pop up a pub called The Exchange as it would have a bit of atmosphere but would all be cheering for Spurs. How wrong I was. Full of skates, singing anti Southampton songs. Literally made my blood boil that no-one seemed to care.
  4. To be fair, the groom would expect nothing less.
  5. A season ticket holder since he was 6. He's 26 now, so you could say he's a fan! How did you go about getting the card signed? I think it might be a little late for that now the season has finished but worth looking in to... To be fair, I'm not really concerned with nerves etc... I'm more concerned with not drinking until the speech is delivered so it isnt a slurred, drunken shambles! I was thinking brides maid's and all that jazz first too.
  6. Hi all, I am best man for my best mates wedding in July. Stag is all booked up, we fly in 3 weeks to the day. I've known him since play school and he's like a brother so I want to give him a quality speech. I've not got a problem with public speaking, I'm pretty confident and will know everyone at the wedding more or less. I've also got a few gags and anecdotes lined up but am looking for tips on structure. I want to try and keep the speech about 7-10 minutes long but need to know when I should be acknowledging the brides maids and all that. If anyone can help with any advice, it would be much appreciated. Cheers, Sam(bosa75)
  7. England, Wales, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Czech Republic, Hungary. I think thats about it.
  8. Mrs watched that made in chelsea programme last night and in the end I actually had to shut my eyes and put my fingers in my ears because it was winding me up so much.
  9. After getting beaten at the Riverside by Middlesborough... Reporter: "What were the main areas where they beat you today?" WGS: "The big green one out there..." Regarding the original post, his actually answer was "No, they should have gone for George Graham."
  10. The 9 did call your Mum a slag though. I reckon you should both meet and sort it out man to man.

    Cidre

I've not tasted it as I will never betray my loyal mistress; The 'Bow.
  12. Probably more likely to be a cheeky, naughty rat up on the surface wherever this stuff was. HTH.
  13. I dont think its been touched upon also that Cortese probably values the Southampton "brand" a lot more than a club like Sheff Weds probably do their own. Until someone is able to prove otherwise I would wage that the price to buy a sponsor board at SMS is a lot more than the majority of clubs in League 1 and unlike most of those clubs who are in perilous financial positions, we are more likely to say "no thanks" when a company comes to us offering to buy an advertising board at half price. I'd imagine other clubs are far more likely to entertain these offers. Why should we drop our pants and accept sub standard rates of payment? Good on Cortese if this strategy results in less adverts. It just makes it more exclusive for the ones paying.
  14. I have no problem with others believing what they want to believe. It is when they try and ram their beliefs down other peoples throats and present them as facts that it becomes all too easy to shoot their arguments down in flames. I think in fairness this is what MLG has done here. Not that he needs me to speak for him. FWIW I dont think a slug goes to heaven when it dies. If a slug doesnt, why should we? In the grand scheme of time we exist for a mere blink of an eye and in my opinion are only here due to a series of events taking place. Evolution is amazing but I dont think its gods work. I think its a series of massive coincidences that feel significant to us but in the grand scheme of time probably isnt.
  15. Good deal if true. Ronaldo is one of two players in the world that can probably win you a league with his input alone. Guaranteed 30 goals a season, most likely closer to 40 with 20-30 assists thrown in for good measure.
  16. Exactly my point. Even Hillsborough would have been avoided if their fans had not been so stupid. The fact Liverpool fans are only too happy to wallow in their own self pity but brush under the carpet the fact that some Liverpool fans were on the pitch, picking the pockets of the unconscious and the dead whilst this was happening. Doesnt quite fit in with the "You'll Never Walk Alone" ethos, does it? Another thing, during the Champions League final in Athens when they lost to AC Milan, the doors momentarily swung open allowing a bunch of scallys to rush inside. Luckily the police were able to get the situation under control and get the doors shut but if they hadnt, it could have been the same story all over again. Given that they constantly bang on about "Remembering" the fallen at Hillsborough, I'd expect Liverpool fans to be the last to be doing such a thing.
  17. in a word, probably yes.
  18. Liverpool FC - a club that revels in self pity. I hate that club with a passion.
  19. Have they met Stanley?
  20. The Liebherr family can also "buy" a club scarf for £20m as this would go in to merchandise sales which we could re-invest in the squad. The whole model is hugely flawed and will change nothing.
  21. Do us a favour and update SFC on FM2011 so we can sign some half decent players then!!!!
  22. I reckon Stoke will win 2-1, fancy Huth to get the winner. Am I right in thinking scorecast odds are the same for last goals too? As I understand it you just need to specify the player to score last.
  23. Reo-Coker would be a good signing but has a bit of an attitude on him. The sort of central midfielder that would do well in the Championship though. Viera is also a good shout but I reckon he'll have too much pride to drop to Championship level. If I was a World Cup winner with no ties to Southampton I wouldnt want to. I'm a better keeper than Hilario-us, so no, not a good shout Hargreaves is finished. Elmander wanted by some quite big Italian clubs but I've heard he's more or less nailed on to join Newcastle.
  24. So basically he's our Comolli? A good move from Cortese if confirmed. I think this shows he means business. Cant imagine many sides in the Championship having scouting networks across Europe.
  25. Just watched it now. Am I right in thinking this is just because he happens to be Catholic and managing a largely Catholic-inclined football club? ****e league, ****e teams. Both Rangers and Celtic would be Championship at best in England.
