Anyone who seriously avocates what the original idiot poster has proposed should in my opinion be banned by Cortese from setting foot in the stadium. FFS, they've scrapped the payment plan, not shut the club down. I dont care how small your boycott is, YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE A CLUB!! We nearly got shut down but were saved by a billionaire who has invested massively in our club yet just because they are now asking for money up front for a season ticket, you see fit to call a boycott? Stop being such a whiny baby and get over it FFS.

I hope we get to see the Olympics first.

I'd imagine Lines and Rickie are maybe still mates though. Lines would be aware of the clause in his contract and probably quite fancies the move after hearing Rickie bang on about how great he club is and how much he is enjoying himself and told Rickie of the clause, hoping he'd let Pardew know.

I'd do Hurghada in Egypt. You'll get a great deal with that budget. It sounds typically "Brit abroad" mentality but do some research first and go to a hotel with a private beach that doesnt allow Russians to stay there. If you go to a hotel that allows Russians you have to put up with their awful food (steamed cabbage in 40 degree heat anyone?!) plus their rudeness. They are notoriously rude travellers.

St Etienne interested in Schneiderlin

To be fair, there arent many examples of Billionaire clubs in the 3rd tier. The fact is unlike the Premier League, someone like Ronaldo or Fabregas eventually gets sold in these circumstances because they are on £100k+ a week but if Morgan kicked up a fuss, we'd have no trouble covering his c.£5k a week wages until a potential suitor offered what we thought he was worth which would be a lot more than £1m. -
My Dad used to take me back in the late 80's/early 90's when kids got in free if they were carried in on their Dads shoulders. He used to mind the door at the Gateway pub. I hated it because I'd have to wait around for hours whilst he worked as usually get in the game after kick off. I remember Barry Horne once scored a late, late goal by dinking it over the onrushing keeper and there was a pitch invasion (thats what my memory is telling me anyway!). To this day I cant remember the circumstances of the goal and why there was a pitch invasion (maybe someone here knows). From that day on, I was hooked.

I cant say who exactly but a lot of people I speak to involved within the club say him and his brother when he was here had the attitude they had "made it" from a very early age which has hampered their overall development.

What is some peoples problem? Signing Dickson would mean we would have 2 quality left backs in our squad. Mills is far too lightweight to be relied upon and has a bad attitude problem by all accounts. Dickson would provide Harding with competition which I'm sure as a professional he would welcome and means we have a sound replacement when the other is injured, out of form or in need of a rest.

my mate (arsenal season ticket holder but from bournemouth) was having a kickabout with his mates on kensington gardens this morning when they went for their walk and started singing "you skate b*stards" at them, whilst they were being filmed. David James gave him the thumbs up... *****.

I'd choose Spain too. A tour of the Costa Blanca perhaps... playing Hercules, Villarreal and Valencia would do me nicely!

They do allow you to pay in monthly installments though, spread over 12 months and not for the term of the season which I find really helpful. My mate at work is a Liverpool fans and goes up as often as he can but also has a Fulham season ticket as he only has to pay about £30 a month and gets at least 2 games a month during the season.

A great letter addressing many key points. The only thing I read which I didnt like was implying that Matt Le Tissier was trying to harm the club by throwing his support behind Pinnacle. We are all sure it was done in good faith and he had no agenda in doing so other than wanting what was best for SFC. Great letter Nicola, but please dont alienate such a club legend as Matt Le Tissier. Without him, I dare say the club would exist these days for you to take forward.

Absolutely incredible. I think they are officially every ones 2nd favourite team now. Fair play to Woy.
-
I think thats fair enough. I'm up for having both players on our books but given the fees and wages in question and their respective ages, Antonio needs to be our number 1 priority over Papa.

Most years we'd be in play off position already
sambosa75 replied to ponto1963's topic in The Saints
Absolutely. I think people need to look at things with a bit of perspective. That said, IF we had managed to sneak in to the play-offs, given our recent form you know we would have been in with a good shout of winning it. I dont know if I could have stomached a late surge to 6th place and then losing the play off final to someone like Swindon. For me I would prefer to keep our powder dry and storm the league next season. AP's got a big job on his hands to stop players becoming complacent however. -
and Quality

One suspects its not quite as much as treating people who over drink and require kidney and liver transplants and stomach pumps etc...

Be almost funny is Yeovil equalise given the delirium showed now and the despair some of you lot showed about 5 minutes ago...

Well at least its been a great season up until now. Players obviously getting as frustrated as we are and lashing out. Never mind, always next season!

Every time I encounter it, it surprises me more and more how much Bournemouth fans seem to dislike us. Surely it must grate with them that they are so insignificant to us that even if we are in the same division as them next season, I would see the Bournemouth match as "just another game". Remember my Dad (Newcastle fan) meeting a load of Bournemouth fans on a train when he was travelling back down from Newcastle and they were travelling back from an away game. He got talking to them and he mentioned he lived in Southampton and also looked out for our results and occasionally attends matches home and away. Bournemouth fans said to him "in Bournemouth we call Southampton fans 'Scummers'... what do you call us?". His reply was instant, deadpan and even funnier totally honest. "We dont even think about you" he said.

Is it David Byrne?

I met Kevin Keegan yesterday in Hammersmith! He was filming something in a barber shop and Ray Stubbs was there too, milling around but not being filmed. Thought about asking why he was there but thought it might be rude!

This is not over. We are the form side. Huddersfield are limping to the line and have some tough fixtures remaining. They will be looking over their shoulder at us whilst we can just get our head down and see where 5 more wins in a row takes us...
