westmidlandsaint replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints

9.17am from leamington spa (calling at banbury & bicester north) was busier than expected and had to stand the whole way didn't mind too much and had a great chat on the way back at 17.45 with 6 people heading back to leamington (3 of them back to dublin this morning)

Anyone think we should give a start to Connolly as Barnard is cup tied for JPT? it would give him some more match practice or would people prefer to see Papa Waigo upfront with Lambert for the final. Also like to see us get a 2-0 h/t lead and give young Oxlade-Chamberlain another run out seems he is preferred over Antonio at the moment

Ticketing policy for the JPT Final
westmidlandsaint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Just because some people don't have season tickets doesn't make them plastic fans. i had a season ticket for many years and in this time never missed a hiome game as well as travelling to many away games. Unfortunately, I have since moved to the west midlands and have 3 young kids and can't afford to travel to all the games. I still spend a lot of money every year on merchandise and do still try to get to matches. I couldnt get to the game last night but still bought a ticket and gave it away to someone who could attend. Some season ticket holders need to get off their high horses and count themselves lucky they are in a position to be able to be a season ticket holder, but this doesn't mean they're anymore of a fan. -

i have nothing what so ever to back this up with but i was once told by somone quite high up (at the time) at saints (not going to divulge name either) that hoddle was on with bonuses (to qualify for european football) £4m a year. not sure i believe this as we were only at the dell at the time.

It was stated on the radio during commentary versus Norwich that Jaidi will turn down any african nations call up

I thought Andy Penn (ref) was shocking again saturday. I came down 2 years ago when Norwich beat us 1-0 and Penn reffed that game too and gave every 50/50 Norwich's way. i come down with a NCFC supporting mate both times who was laughing before saturdays game when he read out that Penn was the ref.

he is a saints fan. and as a distant cousin i'd love to see him here may not get a starting spot but good experience to come in when needed. a bit of added grit and passion

I had the pleasure of being taken by a friend of mine whose company are a main sponsor of Wolves to the Wolves v Villa game on saturday. Due to being a big corporate client we were met by David Jones (wolves player) who confirmed that Drew is still out injured. During the game Drew was sat around 7/8 rows infront of us with a few of the other injured wolves players. I tried to get a word with him but unfortunately due to the greedy/thirsty bastards trying to get back up to the corporate suites was unable to get to him before he disappeared to the players lounge. I dont think Wolves have paid the money they did to have him go back out on loan after his injury Mick McCarthy will give him a chance even if its on the bench using him as a utility player.

I know Matt Le Tiss has just bought a house in the North Baddesley area, so maybe he is busy moving in and settling down etc??
