As Benjii says, you do know that this game has been moved to Sunday? So many matches are moved around these days it's hard to keep track sometimes.
-
So did The Don's but look what happened to that. For starters the final price might end up as double what Parrish claims and they're not going to get any help from the Mayor of London as he has already hung himself on the altar of The London Stadium. Perhaps they can ground share with the Hammers?

If only they had worked out that 32000 people need a pee at least once during their two hours at the ground especially with beer on sale at the kiosks. Realistically the pee break is 20 mins so that's 1600 people per minute flooding into the loos.... stats don't lie! Of course the loos at The Dell were primitive but the ones at SMS are not that much better. Cue; massive support for our loos!

Arsenal will probably rest a few players for this one not that that will improve our chances. Pied will be put under enormous pressure from Ozil, that alone scares the life out of me. Nothing in this for the current version of Saints. I'm not expecting a spanking but probably something like 0-2 will be the best we can hope for.

You missed Ryan as MotM otherwise spot on.

A game we should have won easily but somehow yet again stumbled our way through to a squeaky and unconvincing draw against a very poor team that will surely feature in the relegation battle. All our lads with the obvious notable exception who was put out of his misery at HT, put in the work and on the whole played well but as usual we seem unable to create any other idea in the box than hopeful crosses to Charlie's head. This will not win many matches and one wonders how many lives this manager has already used up even if still no reaction from upstairs. What happened to JWP today, he was unspeakably awful and never got into the match? He gets a load of stick and abuse on here and other social media so maybe all of that negativity has really got to him but on this showing he won't pulling on the shirt again anytime soon. Will Pellegrino even pick him again? Hoedt made a giant sized cock-up but was otherwise pretty solid and composed; those on here calling for his head should remember the vulnerabilities of the alternatives. Nobody is perfect and all are allowed a few mistakes.

Get Ward Prowse off now please!

Thanks for the support. Pity you highlighted his comment 'though as that person has been on my 'IGNORE' list for years. The comment is par for the course with him. People reveal more about themselves than others by such remarks.

That's the one for me.

What Guardiola was really saying is that with the talent Saints have got we should be doing a lot better than we are and under his guidance we would be much better than we are. The chances of getting a guy like him here to improve our players are about as close to absolute zero as you'll ever get so the alternative logical thought must be that he will be in for some of our players in the summer. He can see how they can be improved already. Sadly he was also taking a swipe at Pellegrino in the same breath because obviously he can't.

There has always been an anti-Saints agenda on that programme. Of course it is based in the North West sic "where football belongs" so the snotty upstarts from the Southern League have never been taken seriously.

Morgan as they say is 'one of our own' and you could see that he hadn't forgotten his time here either or his old buddies, all cuddles in the line up and after the match. One sensed he may genuinely have regretted leaving - at least on Sunday. Of course nostalgia is a wonderful thing especially for romantics which the French are supposed to be. Nostalgia aside there can be no question that he was a fantastic player for us when it mattered most and for his contribution to our climb back to respectability we should be eternally grateful. Those who seek to denigrate him and try to rewrite that part of our history because he is no longer a Saints player should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Why wouldn't we take him back if the opportunity arose and the price was right after all he is no worse than any of our other options in midfield and many might claim a bloody site more consistent than most of them.

Cheer up lads for goodness sake, you all sound like manic depressives, can't do this, can't do that! Of course we can.

If indeed we are at last building momentum then we would not want to mess about too much with the present line up. If VVD was off in January what would have been the point of making him a regular starter in the team and especially forming a partnership with his fellow countryman, where his role is as a team member in his own right and as a mentor for the younger player. On Sunday it was very noticeable how Hoedt mimicked van Dyke in style especially striding forward with the ball trying to build attacks. I suspect that the decision was made at the beginning of the season that VVD would stay for one more season which actually benefits the player as it gives him the chance to get back up to full speed without the full glare of the spotlight that would have been on him at a bigger club where patience is in short supply. Look what has happened to Morgan and don't say it couldn't have happened to Virgil because it could. I want him to stay until the summer, he should stay and probably has already agreed to do so. Realistically very few 'big moves' happen in January so even historical precedent makes it unlikely. We'll have to tackle Europe next season without him 'though.

Not at all the way I saw it with Bertie in front of me in the Itchen in the second half and don't forget Boufal was taken off so that partnership was wrecked at a stroke. Then again the game was won and we needed these guys recovered, fit and up and ready for Wednesday evening. I'd imagine the he was ****ged out by the end with all the effort and running he put in all afternoon.
-
Why spoil the party Doddy with petty mindedness, Boufal was unplayable yesterday and deserves great credit for his performance, he is proving to be a world class player. Who else in our squad has his level of skill? Great to see how he is settling into the squad personally and obviously the more senior and cynical players are beginning to embrace him. Now we must worry about Arsenal, Spurs and Man C scouting him for next summer. Maybe sometimes even our much hated Les gets his sums right. Lemina, Boufal and Hojberg on yesterday's showing won't look to bad on his CV.
-
Give it a rest mate, you have no idea what your are talking about.
-
I'd have said the other way around - Hoj / Lem - but whichever we cannot drop Captain Davo so who would miss out JWP + 1?
-
Best I've ever seen from Bertie today, he was really up for this one. World class and from easily MotM. His link up with Boufal was mesmerising to watch, sheer brilliance at times. Great to see Hojberg at his best, a bit rough around the edges still but top marks for effort. Everyone was at the races today, little to criticise. Shop window time.

We'd all yell "Offside ref where's your bleeding specs"
-
Hopefully he will run the Academy. My word, we need a positive character around the building? Never will forget his "building" his "bus" and his "man in the mirror".
-
Probably 0-0

Will be people going up there on Sunday with a genuine sense of excitement or just out of curious morbidity, spectre at the grave so to speak.
