  1. "I don't read newspapers"... "we'll take a look at that in the morning"... "the league that matters is the league in January".... "Oh!Really.. my 100th win in football... I didn't know that..." Come orf it Nigel, superb manager you may well be but ace bull****ter you most certainly are not! Go on man, let your hair down, have a right old ****-up to celebrate... THEN get on with the task of winning the next game of football. Me? Ecstatic.. Top of the League? Yes, really! No laughing matter.
  2. This. They won't hack it for long and will soon be drifting down to mid-table. Middlesborough and Leicester look favourites at the moment and Forest aren't that far away either.
  3. That's not fair, just tell us all this stuff rather than tease.
  4. Yes, of course just go to the shop.
  5. Either he's out of his depth at this level, is injured or he's sulking 'cos Richardson gets the nod. Trouble is none of them are really good enough for a top side in this league and Jack is woeful at full back, we missed a big chance over the summer. Try Fox over there and keep Harding in. Absolutely we should offer at least £4million for Gunter he is absolutely fabulous, if he's good enough to mark Wooney out of a ganme he's probably good enough for Saints - what d'you think Nigel?
  6. I'm not as agile as you so have to wait it out whilst the laggards do their "after you old chap" routine until 5.30. I get really wound up about this especially as Health & Safety require the stadium to be cleared of people within 2 minutes in th event of an emergency - what a joke that is - but so is wasting time on here discussing what the owners might or might not do in goodness knows how many years ahead when-if we ever reach the PL. Your thread is far more relevant.
  7. Always said Lambert couldn't make it at this level, should have had five... ;-) Rickie for England, Wooney who?
  8. This! very unimaginative, **** poor passing, too many long balls and caught flat and way out of position far too often so - Derbyshire gave him the run-around and more or less was responsible for both their goals. Harding is better than this by miles. I', tempted to say another graet signing by our scouting team in the footsteps of N'Guessan, Forte, Stephens. They sure know how to pick 'em!
  9. Wonderful win, tough at times, thoroughly outplayed at others but they stuck at it and ground out a result. Good work lads and Adders
  10. This is becoming farcical. The player is obviously quite good so why would he want to come here when PL teams will be in for him if he has a tremendous first half season especially as he is now a very high profile young lad playing for Pearce's XI. One gets fed up reading this sort of nonsense when we know Saints will inevitably bottle any bid deal where competition from other bigger clubs are involved. Leicester beat us in the transfer market and on the pitch. Let's face it our track record for completing deals of this quality is rubbish - we just don't have or won't spend the dosh - just like Gooners in fact who go on to win Arsene-all!
  11. I admire Adders for acknowledging what many fans have said on here about poor discipline at the club. Evidently he is reading our comments and taking them on board. As always 'though Nigel, proof is in what happens on the streets rather than all the reassuring rhetoric and the jury is going to be out for a while on this one. One more escapade - and they do seem to go in three's - and there will be tougher questions to field.
  12. We should win this one. My guess is that it will be a dreary affair more of a physical battle but we should edge it 1-0, and I'll take a 2-0 if we give it all. Forest won't come to play football they'll come to spoil and nick a point to make it 6 from 6 Martin will def get the nod over Hoover based on his Leeds outing and will stay for 90 if we don't concede. Really too early to fit Hoover into our style of play.
  13. henceforth to be known as "Brown Nose Day with a Smile on his Rrse"
  14. Everyone is right, who is he, only useless idiots run out of contract, etc. Another pointless speculative thread. Keep your eyes on the ball lads.
  15. Spot On! On the other hand the lad doesn't deserve to end up in hospital as a result of poor judgement. The latest OS up-date is only mildly encouraging and regretably it seems unlikely we'll see him playing again this year at least. I hope there isn't a booze culture here but nothing would surprise me after the experiences of a few years ago.
  16. Sorry mods I clicked the wrong button accidentally! I'm sure we'll finish Upper Table not Lower Table as recorded. If you can change it please do.
  17. How did you get the time to write all this? No time to read it 'though so completely wasted on me and many more I should imagine. This is 2011, more than 3 lines and no bugger will read it especially on here. Succinct is the word you're looking for.
  18. Surely you have more ambition for your child than encourage him to be a football and Saints fan. Teach him/her the piano or drive racing cars but not bloody football. Why condemn the poor little mite to a life of abject disappointment and misery. Nice one, anyway. Keep her/him close always - it's all that matters at the end believe you me.
  19. Well, that resolution didn't last long. And here's we all thinking yu'd gone fer gud. How often is "now and again" - best surely to part once and quickly?
  20. Look Andy, rest assured EVERY kid in Europe who can kick a ball who is over the age of 4 has been scouted and re-scouted, trialed and re-trialed. Your mate would not have been missed, just tell him he's no good and put him out of his flippin' misery. The big scouts scene of Europe would have found the last drop of juice in every lemon.
  21. It is wisest not to jump to erroneous conclusions from careless speculation. Few people will know the facts including the police and those involved that do can be relied upon absolutely to distort or obscure the truth. I abhor the 'night-club' culture that appears to be endemic at Saints which has now led to very serious incidents involving two of our key players, young guys with lots of cash and obvious glamour appeal to a certain type of lady (gold diggers, perhaps); inevitably their presence at any open social meeting palce will attract attention and jealousy probably in equal measure. Just add in the lethal influence of alcohol and you don't need to be a brain surgeon to see where that can lead. I just wish that our players would have the good sense to stay away. It's all very well having a matey club atmosphere "with smiles on everyone's faces" but not at the expense of setting standards for expected behaviour and basic discipline because everyone is on first name terms - players and management alike - so nobody in authority has the balls to be authoritative. Somebody up at SMS needs to get a grip fast. If Adders can't face it then Cortese needs to step in. These guys are being paid a fortune to play football an be our role models - enough said! Brian Clough would have had none of it and the riot act would have been read by him long, long ago. This is a tragedy for Dan Seaborne and his whole family and my heartfelt sympathies go out to him and them. We must all pray for his complete recovery.
  22. At least it's only a loan... am 'guessen he'll come off the bench for ten minutes on a couple of occasions and then vanish without trace back to Glasgow or Stockholm. Cheer up lads, we've still got Jaidi to come back.
  23. Let's face it no bugger wants to come here. Premier League? You're having a laugh! NC just doesn't fancy it this year.
  24. I hope this was 'tongue-in-cheek!' If not we should start worrying as the performance against Millwall was **** poor after the 20 min mark
  25. Obviously! We won't win anything with third division players. Trick now is to get the lads motivated again, their morale will have taken a pounding and one can fear a downward spirral. Lose tonight and the next home game and suddenly it will look like a much steeper hill to climb just to stay in mid-table and... the window will be firmly shut!
