I'm amazed that Le Tiss was paid that much even! Seriously, somebody's taking the **** somewhere along the line.
-
Keep him here, he played really well against Coventry the other night, especially linking with Lallana
-
I thought he had left us long ago?

Interest in the Saints has waned since Lowe returned. Having got rid of him and entered a new chapter, it was 'deja vu' all over again when the new order was unceremoniously dumped out of office. I think for many that was it, a recognition that their efforts and protests were in vain, that nobody of any import was listening to ordinary fans anymore. What's the point of expressing one's point of view in this climate? "Stuff Lowe, Stuff Saints let's get on with the things that really matter in life" is probably where we are with most fans right now. Only when that smarmy little twerp has gone will we get back to being united behind our beloved team and all the institutions that support it. When we can be heard we will find our voice!

Forget it. False sentiment anyway, nobody really gives a flying fig!

Boothroyd is just another clueless English failed manager. Why on earth would we want him here, so that we can play the Watford way? For Saints? I don't think so! They used to call it kick and rush, these days the very posh people at the FA aremore polite and call it 'direct' football.., to you and me that's up and under.

Would you put Lallana back in the team??

Yep! -
We all know that footballers are as thick as s**t, most can't read or write hence all these meaningless scribbles. Who cares who they are, they helped get us into the mess we are in now.

This just shows what a Fffing scumbag Wigley is! Under the pretense of "watching" his old team affcetinately as widely reported, he was just really out on a spying mission for his new masters and trying to derail our attempts at resurrection. I hope he doesn't have the gall to show his face at SMS, the b*st*rd!

As events have turned out we ended up with Poortvleit and I prefer him to Gray any day. Any poort in a storm, aye!

PNE nowhere near so good this year, very frail at the back.

You've been at the beer again, naughty, naughty!

Preston 2-3 Saints - You've Gotta be Havin' a Laugh
Charlie Wayman replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Scrapping for and scraping a win is not the same as winning by dominance and controlling the game. Let's just be grateful for 3 points today but not lose sight of reality. We are still not good enough to be sure of fighting our way out of trouble. By the law of averages we will occasionally come back from the dead to record a somewhat fortunate success as today whereas on other occasions we would just as easily let a winning lead slip away. Tony Husbands and Dave Merrington were absolutely sh*t* toady on RS and deserved to be suspended without play. Their so-called commentating was incomprehensible to those of us who were trying to form a mental picture of what was going on. We were not even told what colour shirts we were wearing and as for not spotting Gobern for 20 mins after his half-time entry... Bloody diabolical! -
The petition is utter garbage! It is utterly derisable. There is not a semblance of correct grammatical expression in it; it will only confirm "our" rulers beliefs that those who protest are fresh out of the backwoods, Scrap it before all of us are made to look like laughing stocks.

Yet another baby in a pushchair. 19 years old, don't we ever get hold of somebody who has reached the ripe old age of 21 even? What is it with our fixation on youth?

A thread for the deliberate stay away's only!

The question is a non sequiter. A fourth division player is used to playing in front of A third division player is used to playing in front of A second division player is used to playing in front of A Prem division player is used to playing in front of 25000+ crowds The players we have now with only one or two exceptions have mostly only ever played in front of crowds of 5000-10000, so as far as they are concerned everything is normal. They might be intimidated and overwhelmed by crowds of 25000 each week but as it isn't going to happen anytime soon it's all a bit academic -
He CANNOT! How many games do you need to prove your crap at managing a CCC side, surely no more than a dozen? Any day now.... He didn't look that concerned last night or last week. JAN, GELIEVE TE GAAN NAAR HUIS!

Was the return of Rupert the final nail in our coffin?
Charlie Wayman replied to Gordon Mockles's topic in The Saints
Lowe is a bean counter not a risk taker. How many beans make five? Answer, 4. The other one is Lowe's Dividend. He's not in there for nothing after all. As a result of his excellent stewardship of our finances we will probably end up as the ONLY solvent FC in the Blue Square Premiership and with the biggest ground. -
Good in parts but Poortvleit's decision to switch Euell and Schneiderlin, front to back, at 70 mins was a disaster, which cost us the goal. Too late he reverted but only thanks to Euell giving him a right b*ll*cking. Unfortunately it rather seems as 'though he is clueless on tactics. Trouble is brewing as the dressing room now appears to be telling management how to run things on the field. I had a feeling Poortvleit was losing the dressing room, seems that feeling was right so unless things change soon, i.e, new manager, then we will not recover. Nothing on display last night convinces me we can go on a winning run and reverse our situation. We will struggle all year and if we get cut adrift at the bottom by a half-dozen points, there'll be no way back.
-
If it wasn't obvious before it is now, our lads haven't the faintest idea what Poortvleit is on about; now they can't even be bothered to try to work it out. He has lost them. For goodness sake get him out before it's too late. JAN you seem to be a nice bloke, you know you are out of your depth over here so please save us any more agony and b*gger off back to The Netherlands
-
Good luck to him, he has done all he can for Pompey and he knows that all the promises of new grounds and new training facilities are just bullsh*t as they are mired in debt. Unlike many on here I do not wish on them a future like our recent history. We want a strong football presence in the South but with one team heading for the BSQ and another for the Third Division the last thing this region needs or deserves is for it's one remaining team above the parapet to disintegrate in the wake of Redknapps departure and also start falling like a stone through the divisions. What value our infamous rivalry in the Southern Conference with only 316 watching?
-
As usual listened in to RS but gave up when we went 2-0 down. This season I have a ST which I am not using until Lowe leaves. Next year I will not bother even with a ST, it has come to this after over 40 years as a ST and many more before as a 'turn-up' man.

I suppose you meant to say "My friend and I will...?"

Rudi is one of those lucky bustards who looks like a footballer the second he waddles onto the field. End of story! From then on it's always downhill all the way. That is why nobody wants to buy him and he doesn't figure in his national team. It is a desperate measure indeed when even our erstwhile coveted TFM (total football man) falls back on the likes of Rudi to save the ship from going down. It suggests to me that the hole below the water line is far more serious than we think. TFM has lost it and running about the decks like a headless chicken when he is supposed to be up on the bridge steering us into tropical calms and misty eyed sunsets.

What I don't get is that when we field a team of average age 22 who try to play Total Football, we get stuffed over and over again, when Arsenal field a team of average age 22 who try to play Total Football theY beat Fernabace 5-2 and the whole world says wHAt wonderful kids they are. What a great academy CAN YOU EXPLAIN THIS PARADOX PLEASE MR JAN POORTVLEIT AND MR RUPERT LOWE AND MR MICHAEL WILDE?
