It's all about opinions and you both could be right. I watched the extended Burnley v Burton highlights and have to say that he looked much more of a Teddy Sheringham player and more comfortable dropping a bit deeper though. Kind of the role that Lambert does for us now. Who knows though? You can never really judge a player untill you've seen him a fair few times live.

To be fair he didn't get much of a chance and a lot of the time Wolves were only playing one up front which made it harder for him. Strange one for me - I've always wanted to see us break our transfer record especially on a striker but I'm not quite sure what Rodriguez brings to the team. He doesn't have the blinding pace we're missing, he doesn't seem to have the vision or trickery of, say, Lallana either. He's got a decent scoring record but even YouTube doesn't make him look that great. If you were to compare him against players like Sordell, Ebanks-Blake or Maynard then I'd have him as the least obviously impressive player. Of course I'm sure that if we are in for him then NA knows what he's doing, and I'm not saying the lad is rubbish either.

It can be a pain and takes me about 40 mins or so to get to Portswood from Dibden. On the plus side if it ever gets really bad like an accident or Causeway gets shut then I just work from home. Also, although public transport is OK during the day and rush hour it's pretty poor after about 6pm.

Doing a good job so far but:

Neil Heaney at times was shocking. Also, although not for us, Mark Hughes committed the most disgraceful play act dive when falling to the ground pretending someone had hit him in the face.

Oh and Fourth Official just tweeted we're close to an offer for NM - only club interested.

To be fair he also said AOC wasn't at Arsenal having a medical when everyone else was saying he was (and were right) so he's not always correct. Great thing is that we've got options: Maynard, Rodriguez, Ebanks-Blake, Sordell - any one of them would be great and I'm not sure we need a new striker that desperately anyway.

On the face of it signing both Rodriguez and Maynard would seem to be mental but Rodriguez can play out wide, or we could play a front three. The other thing is Lambert definitely wouldn't be a guaranteed starter and I suppose we all accept he is at the moment. Still can't see that we'll end up getting both though......

Let's face it, either would be great. Maynard has a fair bit of hype at the moment but a lot of that is because of Leicester apparently bidding big and City putting a big price on his head. Let's not forget NM has recently come back from a bad injury as well. I guess a lot will come down to value for money... SEB at 3.5m or NM for around 5m? Who knows? Comparing prices for players is hard....we've just sold a player who has never played above L1 level for the same price as an England international (Ashley Young). Either one would be good for us.....I guess a good question would be which player would you not like to face in an opposing team? Happy days just being linked with them though....

Thanks Dune, do you think black people are culturally more inclined to gangsta culture or is it a genetic thing? Also, if multi culturalism has failed then is there an alternative? Or indeed a solution?
