Tonny Vilhena hands in transfer request at Feyenoord
VectisSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I guees that's like saying Koeman prefers Schneiderlin to Tadic. Different types of player (one DM, one AM). One presumably fits the Feyenoord system better than the other. -

I guess this is the time when traditionally we trot out Forbes Phillipson-Masters jokes. -
Just out of interest anyone know what our satellite office in Spain does? I thought booking flights for Gaston was a thing of the past.

Don't know if that was just a punt, but I think he really does have an older sibling called Chanel Lucky Little. Both born in Portsmouth. I really would not like to speculate whether Chanel Lucky would be a brother or a sister. -

Then we get players like Kenwyne, have to make sure the first name is "plain" as well. -
Noticed that, really is bizarre that a hack seems to think performance this season is correlated to wages last season.

No. Red cards in non-first team matches will take effect from the 14th day following dismissal. Read more at http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/suspensions#TDihJia5jWe5BSaG.99

Reed got two yellows for two very rash challenges. Very lucky boy that his teammates got him out of trouble. Super strike from Sam Gallagher, he was so different after he moved inside and went up front once Seager was taken off. Seager's goal also good strike, though he got a bit lucky when Reed's pile driver cannoned off him. Thought nearly everyone looked good tonight, but credit to Blackburn, they have some very good players, especially given that many of them are u18s. Pity the forum has been crap tonight, still seems like Steve is aware.

1-0 Seager

I'm sure RK would not say anything ill informed either. The fact that it "popped back in" (usually referred to as "reduction") is usually good news. But until he has had x-rays and follow ups the extent of the damage will not be known, there could be an associated fracture, in which case surgery will be required. Clearly that had not happened when RK made his comments, might have had x-rays today if swelling had gone down sufficiently. But the dislocation will still have damaged muscles and other soft tissues. After reduction the shoulder is usually immobiised for 3-4 weeks, so I would suggest best case scenario is that he could be back for Man City game.Oddly enough one of the techniques for reduction is called the "Mane Technique".Wish Toby well.

It may have popped back in, as Koeman said, but that does not mean he will be ready to play again. There will need to be follow up to see if any fracture occurred and there will have been serious damage to tissue in the area. Unless we are very lucky I doubt we will see Toby playing in a Saints shirt again this season. I'd love to be proved wrong of course, but it is probably 12-16 weeks to fully recover from a dislocated shoulder.

He hasn't. Doesn't mean two people can't be "close". But they are.

Suspect the Krul part has legs, RK and Krul are close, and we will need a new keeper, preferably one with good PL experience for next season, need to work on the principle that FF will not play (much of) next season, and we need to good keepers anyway. Think Janmat is just linking Dutch players with us because of RK, think its unlikely that Newcatle would part with the player that they seem to have lined up as their new skipper.

3-1, bad weekend all round really.

Meanwhile Poch heading for 3 points and 6th due to the useless Magpies. Not sure Newcastle are safe from relegation.

Post-Match Reaction: Stoke City 2-1 SAINTS
VectisSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I guess you didn't see the KD goal then. Clearly Kelvin misjudged it and should have pushed it over the bar. Steve Davis getting panned, but would have been given one of those assist thingies that certain people go on and on about if Morgan had not tapped in Fonte's goal. Clearly SD dropped a clanger that got Fonte booked earlier, but really he did not have as bad a game as some would have us believe. Pelle - awful as usual, cannot score, cannot hold the ball up, in some ways a pity he scored last week because some people believed it would make a difference, it hasn't and it won't. Tadic shooting woeful from 2 excellent chances made by....Steve Davis -
Too right, least not round Southampton. 6 bed student house rent about £2000 per month. I don't think a 6 bed house can be had for anything like £120k. Daughter was student in Soton until last year, in a 6 room shared house.

Taken by Steven Davis I believe.

I think the record that David refers to is that Peachey became the highest scoring full back in the history of the Football League (not penalties) when he scored a pen against ManU in 1979. Not sure whether that record still stands, he scored a few more after that date for us, Swindon and Orient, What I had not realised was that the penalty against Palace was his first (of many) for us. We must have got a lot of pens in those days if he racked up 26 in 4 seasons.

On the other hand MLT 2 will be good.

Innovation. Good to see the Club trying new things (though it isn't). Have you bought your ticket in the Villa end yet like other Villa supporters do? -
I think the phrase is "no s h i t Sherlock"

Would suggest that 2 successive seasons in Europa League will see us fall down the League before we have a non-European season and challenge for the title. Sounds good to me. Klopp will get a lot of plaudits for taking us to second place and a possible showdown with Barca boss Ronald Koeman in the 2019 Champions League.

As things stand you are a 6th place supporter. But if you don't do well between now and end of season you could be a 7th place supporter, so make sure you try bloody hard, who knows you may improve to be a 5th place supporter if you do.
