  1. Was this before or after Toby had eaten a sub? It could be similar to Shaw with Nando's. One Nando's and Luke is out sick.
  2. I would suggest it is their only chance.
  3. It was floated, not much pace, high into the area by Rodney. It certainly was not drilled in low and hard. Forster should have come for it, but Vic lost his man and let RVP peel off at the back. I think I would agree with the comments by Merrington who assessed it accurately.

If we make it through to the 5th round. Hopefully.
  5. Long was completely ****ged. Agree that bringing on Mayuka is a waste of time, but this is just a clear indication of the lack of depth of the squad. Would have though Isgrove would have been a better bet. I was also available and would have been better than Mayuka.

Back in January (probably end of January), as was always the case.
  7. I'm confident that had we had Schneiderlin available we would have won. Cork would have been sub, and to be honest we did not miss Toby (great player that he is), Yoshida was again a perfectly good backup and had little to do with the pathetic Manu attack (3 shots on target, of which two were howlers by Fonte and Forster). I guess the only possible thing that Toby might have done better than Yoshi was scored when that golden chance opened up, then again maybe Toby would not have been there/persisted as Yoshida did.
  8. On the other had it wouldn't get shown on Sky in all likelihood. Therefore it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, we lose when we are on Sky usually because we are playing one of the Sky Favs.
  9. K Kevin Friend (friend of Man Utd). It was far worse than "he gave us nothing", he blatantly gave many decisions the wrong way. Hence the crowd singing, we are Southampton, we've won a free kick" in the 2nd half. Shocking referee, had no big decisions to make (pens etc) but gave so many lesser decisions the wrong way, embarrassing. And don't give me any **** about if being a tough job (I know I have been a referee), he was just plain **** poor and should be suspended for the performance like the other knob jockey a couple of weeks back.
  10. Becos thay iss hrad too spill.
  11. Actually he did make one huge mistake last night, but recovered it well and thus got away with it, so it did not cost us. But like Fonte who made a big mistake but got punished, he was otherwise very comfortable and dominated the Manure forwards. Did Rooney play last night? Apart from his excellent corner that headed straight for the Northam, and a few arguments with the "referee" (I use the term loosely) it was like he wasn't there. Kevin Friend, appropriatley named, friend of Man Utd. While there are referees like that **** no team will ever break into the top four/five in the PL.
  12. Well there are a certainly a few knobs who give it large about having been right in the summer because we made a good start, without being able to see that there were still problems, unbelievable really. So why is there a problem with a few people redressing the balance? Fact is we are where we are, still seriously short of a decent squad (as opposed to team) with a major lack of alternatives in one or two positions, yet still doing pretty good thank you. Just a shame when we make the same mistakes as last season, you would think the Club would learn from the mistakes.
  13. Having same type of season as last, club did not learn from mistakes of last season and we still have a squad that cannot cope with the winter months, the heavy fixture load leading up to and just after Christmas. Our squad is far too small for anyone with serious pretensions of getting into Europe or winning a Cup. We still have a weakness in the GK department, with no proper backup. The similarity with last season is striking, the only thing that is different is that we are a fair bit more exciting to watch, especially when we are playing well. We are still doing well, but we could be doing so much better if we had only learned from our mistakes.
  14. This has [almost] nothing to do with Ralph. This is based on figures for financial years up to June 2014, so apart from about 4-5 months Ralph cannot take any credit. Gareth and Les for sure (is Dave Bence new or has he been with Saints a long time, he has replaced Gareth as CFO but I don't know if that is a promotion from within). Credit for this must go to Cortese, Markus and for the last year or so to Katharina as well as Gareth and Les. But just to put some perspective on this, the reason we have done so well is because we started with virtually nothing 5 years ago, therefore the increase in percentage terms is enormous, but not in real terms. The reason is almost entirely due to promotion to the Premier League and staying there for 2 seasons. Fact is as the new board have also said our commercial income (outside of broadcast rights) is actually very poor (Cortese's fault). We could have done so much better.
  15. Its not nonsense, why do you think that players can play equally well on either side? Claus and Killer played right and left respectively. Jose plays right centre, he would struggle on the left. Toby seems able to play either side but thats because he is just such a classy player, he can also play RB. Yoshi can play left back, bit never ever let him play right back, he is absolutely ****ing useless there. It takes a very special player to play either side of the centre back pairing (Toby is such a player).
  16. He was never going to be back before January.
  17. Unless West Ham win against Swansea and we lose
  18. Koeman's side were well beaten by City but they were competitive against the Gunners and it will be the same against United, especially because they are at St Mary's. The usual stupid comments from Lawro where his prediction has no bearing on the comments made. We will do well against Manu because we are at St Marys, as opposed to when we played at Arsenal and were competitive but got well beaten against Man City at St Marys.
  19. Clearly you must be watching a different player called Mane to the one I see. I'm not knocking him and of course he avoids it by turning inside his opponent on many occasions but he seems to bounce off players so easily. Against Man City it was almost laughable (and it has been the same at other matches to a lesser degree).
  20. Its disgusting that this sort of thing happens, and I feel very sorry for Franny and his family, but there is no excuse for losing treasured family photographs on a laptop, simple backup procedures would avoid this.
  21. If we all wave our arms around enough it might look like we are signing it.
  22. Compared with Mane Gaston would never be easily knocked off the ball. Every time a player goes near Mane he ends up flying through the air because he is so lightweight.
  23. Probably says more about how many girls you "know" than anything else.
  24. You were at Arsenal, what did you expect? It used to be called The Library for a reason (though i think that was Highbury).
