  1. No Charlie Adam next week then
  2. Silly really, Lambert has cored more penalties than Welbeck has scored total goals this season in 39 appearances for the top club in England. Defoe and Sturridge I can deal with but Welbeck really does not deserve an England place, even a Manure place is debatable.
  3. No anger there mate. Just that none of us can be sure, because the rules are so unclear, and there is nowhere that you can look it up. I mentioned that you didn't understand because you referred to September. The September list is completely irrelevant, the list is reset completely at the end of January. There are bits I don't understand as well. I am probably wrong about Lee by the way, because I can't remember when he went on loan, got the feeling it was early February so he is probably still registered (but unavailable). Can't actually think of much reason why MP would play Sharpe even if available, he has not even been a regular started recently for Forest in the Championship. Still like the guy and wish he had been given a bit more chance in the PL, but he certainly does not seem to be performing at the level he was before he joined us.
  4. The squad is re-submitted at the end of the January transfer window, what was submitted in September is irrelevant. Sorry to have to correct you there. If and no-one is sure we had 25 over 21s registered end January then Sharp cannot be added obviously, but I don't believe we did. De Ridder was not registered because he was on loan at end January, and was added so that he was eligible for last week. Lee is no longer registered because he went on loan before the squad list was submitted so I think we still have one or two open places. The only reason I can see that MP might register Sharpe is because if Mayuka is not really focused because of his family situation we only have 2 strikers. Fact is I don't know whether there is a possibility of registering Sharpe, clearly you don't either becuase you don't understand the rules and it seems like MLG doesn't either. Wish there was somewhere you could look this up.
  5. How do you know? He could have been added. Steve de Ridder was registered as he was on the bench last week. Just not sure of the number we had registered back in February, if it was 22 or 23 then there is no reason Sharp cannot be added. Whether he is good enough is immaterial.
  6. I feel pretty content in the knowledge that my £10 bet on Saints to be relegated put on while Villa were beating Sunderland last week is going down the tubes. I never win bets. I once bet on 2 horses in the same Grand National and both were put down. I haven't bet on the National since.
  7. It would also be an all-time record score in the Football League/Premier League (currently stands at 12) and beat the current away record by 4. I'm just checking the odds to see what I will get to soften the blow.
  8. Thats right, Michael Owen is going to come back and haunt us by scoring 13 times on his farewell appearance. Another point from today is that Stoke are now safe, hopefully that means they will be on the beach next Sunday.
  9. Thats not what I heard from Mrs Goggins. I'll say no more.
  10. or to McLaren for the way they make their pushchairs...
  11. Excellent, always good to be inclusive, I'm sure our hearing-impaired fans will appreciate this.
  12. Thanks to everyone for letting me know, don't usually have a problem, just suddenly realised last night that I had not see tickets arrive. Phoned the TO this morning, confirmed they had been sent, so they will issue me new tix on the day of the match. If anyone sees Postman Pat rocking up to try to get into the match then we'll know where the tickets went :-)
  13. Just occurred tonight that no tickets in the post yet for Stoke. Usually have them a couple of weeks before the game. Seems so long ago that I bought them now.
  14. Plenty of people used to alternate between watching Saints one weekend and Pompey the next. There was friendly rivalry in the 1960s, no animosity at all, although my old man was a Pompey man and took me to first Saints game on the understanding he would never do it again. Ironic really that he was Pompey, given his grandmother was born in Bullar Street, something he never knew, and that Mary Bates was his cousin (again something he never knew). When I started going to the Dell the rivalry was with Spurs, and that has always stuck with me.
  15. Trouble is we would be looking for a new manager now to defend our Champions League crown.
  16. Don't worry, Owen will be injured. They will have sub-titles for Ferdinand.
  17. I don't think they will, but it would not be a surprise. They beat Arsenal away last season during their run-in when they won 5 of their last 6 (2-1 on April 16th). It should not be dismissed out of hand as impossible.
  18. Please add some links to these Spanish, French and German papers, I'm sure like English papers they are all online. For sure they will all be direct quotes as well. I don't speak 'ampshire 'oggish (not being from 'ampshire), and could do a reasonable translation of the French and Spanish, and with help from work colleagues could tackle the German as well. Pity the reports are not in Latin then I would really be happy.
  19. Sadly singing not being one of them
  20. It would require a goal difference swing of more than 12 goals even if Villa lost both games by 1 goal only. Ok we've had some bad games this season but in general in 2013 our defence has been pretty good. Its still technically possible that we will be deducted 9 points for failing to settle with Franny Benali earlier in the season but in truth its unlikely.
  21. Macca was replaced by Bozo the Clown? Well that would go a long way to explaining his singing at the Lympics ceremony.
  22. You have an overly simplistic view that "defending yourself" occurs in court. This would all have been settled in solicitors' offices. Saints solicitors would have defended their position rigourously (or even vigorously which is the usual expression). Still I guess it does not suit your little anti SFC agenda to understand how things work in reality, instead just keep on banging on (trolling) about something you have little or no understanding of. Probably all down to the Cult of Cortese members. Really glad that this little matter has been sorted to everyone's satisfaction. No-one knows the details and 99% don't actually care. Only the trolls will continue to fuel this thread without any recourse to factual information.
  23. Shows how much you know. It wasn't our nickname for him it came from Grimsby after he conceded 4 in his debut for them in what the Crewe Chronicle described as "one of the most shockingly inept displays the Football League has ever seen". Fortunately he never had the opportunity to concede any goals for us in a competitive first team match. Sorry to disappoint you, if you thought someone on this Mongboard may have tried their hand at a witicism without your consent.
  24. Correct, thats what I mean, did de Ridder take the last place? I suspect there is still one left, but lost track after we signed the invisible forren man.
