I do wish Le Tiss would keep his counsel some times. He has nothing of any use to say but just feels the need to stir the ****. Le Tiss is the one with ego problems. Great player, idlo for many, but sadly a bit of a burk. As is Cortese.

Arsenal are playing tomorrow aren't they?

Interesting Tweet on the BBC LiveText page from Luke Shaw: Great to meet the new gaffer today. hard first session but good fun ! Now excited for Monday's game and hope the fans support us as ever !

You are mocked and abused for many reasons, its what happens when you are a troll.

It was clear from the press conference he at least understands more than he speaks, I suspect he actually speaks some English (certainly more English than most on here can speak Spanish) but just is not confident to do so in front of the press. There is a world of difference between conducting a press conf/interview than shouting out some orders on the training pitch. Besides there are a few of our players who would understand Spanish (Portuguese is not that different)

If Mauricio leaves for better things it will certainly be no worse that when we were shafted by Hoddle, at least he will probably have the decency to do it properly unlike Hod the Sod who lied and disappeared and left the more honourable John Gorman to face the music and clear his desk, now that man is what I call a scumbag (despite what Dalek will probably come on and say). I don't like how things have been done here but convinced NA has known it was on the cards for weeks, and I would rather someone had been lined up than go through what we did when Pardew left, after all it is not much different to how it was done when WGS joined us, for **** sake he was even sitting in the stands watching if I recall correctly.

would you rather have had redknapp than Pinocchio?
VectisSaint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
No, no, no. Surely Pinocchio is a more appropriate nickname for Saggy Chops than Mauricio. Saggy is the known liar. -
Oh dear, embarrassing post.

Well its sad that its come to this. Can see now that we have supporters who are just plain daft. You are entitled to your opinion, but no respect for it. If you support Saints you do so for life, not just because you don't like one episode. Modern football is like this now, and has been for quite a long time in all honesty. I had massive resepct for Adkins and what he had done, was doing, but in the end he is a manager and will draw a line under this, move on and be even more successful elsewhere. Quite clear to me in hindsight that he has known this is coming for a few weeks. Suspect he was told either after WBA or at least Sunderland. He certainly knew he was a dead man walking on Wednesday night. To hope the club is relegated is just one of the most stupid things that a so-called supporter could do. Get behind the new man and lets see where it takes us. I actually don't find it offensive to be likened to Man City, they have some of the best supporters around (unlike their arrogant neighbours) and are making the most of the good times, because they know what goes around comes around. If we followed your ideas we would be like the nasty, spiteful, tinpot club down the road, not even knowing if they will exist in 6 months time.

The morning after the day before...
VectisSaint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Boo hoo! Scouser thinks our club is out of order. We are doomed. Liverpool, think Dalglish, Hodgson and dodgy Americans. Pot. Kettle. -
Thats how CBs should be, ugly mean bar stewards.

Both of them...:-)

Would there be any benefit if they were answered. We never got answers about Pardew, never caused us any harm. Cortese would not answer anyway, naive to think he would.
-
So in other words he has much in common with Mourinho

Don't be surprised if Coutinho is brought in...
VectisSaint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Is it? We all know that only British players can bust a bollock and run round like headless chickens. Jonny Foreigners are all lazy ****s who don't have a clue how to play football. For once DPS I agree with you. -
This^ Shocked as anyone, and not too keen on the background of the new bloke, but protesting is just stupid. Gains nothing except negativity. Apart from not turning up there is no other form of protest that is worthwhile.

Its just the opinion of a small minority on here, some of whom had it in for Chung from the start, didn't like the fact that he brought some Japanese fans into the crowd, waving their Japanese flags. He certainly looked very good in the few games when he first signed last season and looked to be an excellent prospect given a run of games and getting used to the way we play here. His vision and off the ball runs were excellent and appreciated by those that actually saw him play in the flesh. But its clear that his injury last season to his foot knocked him back big time, and without a full pre-season and then the self-inflicted injury at the start of the season that he is nowhere near a start any more. Happens to some players unfortunately. He also does not appear to fit well with our style of play/formation in the PL. If he was a British player it would probably be worthwhile loaning him to an NPC team to get some match time, but he is a Japanese international with a huge following "back home" and I'm sure he does not want to scupper his chances of playing for them again by dropping below the radar, therefore more likely that he will cut his losses and head back to Japan. Shame, always liked him, but doubt we will see him in a Saints shirt again. There is no need for some of the hate from some posters on here, some of whom think its funny to slag players off that they hardly know or have never seen play, but that's the way this board is nowadays, infested by a small number of vocal trolls.

Chelsea 2 Saints 2 - Post Match Celebrations & MotM
VectisSaint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Most people are interested in a balanced discussion, but you don't understand what it means. Makes I laugh when you come out with this twaddle evry time you're shown to be a class 1 clown (yes I do mean clown, most clowns are miserable sods off stage). -

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins: "We came with a gameplan. Chelsea are a good side, we came to block them, deny them space and counter-attack. To go two goals down, when we could have cleared both, was a blow but we showed great character in the second half - great credit to my players." Any regrets about leaving Rickie Lambert on the bench? "None whatsoever, we came with a game-plan of playing with the pace of Jay Rodriguez, and then we were looking for an impact when Rickie came on. That's what I call an impact." -

He is already a better defender than Bale. If he can become as good going forward then that will be unbelievable, heading in the right direction. -

Its all about 90 minutes, tactics were top notch, if only we had not conceded in last minute of 1st half. Nothing to do with rating Guly above SRL, thats just daft thinking. -

Then again, probably would not have drawn if we had. -

Guess we won't be hearing from Alpine now, unless its to moan that we dropped 2 points. -
1.5 minutes to go on Saints Player + added time!!!!

Instrumental in build up to the goal, seems quite positive to me.
