No, made his debut in the summer after he left us in 2006 when he was playing for Doncaster. Maik Taylor also played for N Ireland but also after he left us.

I'm planning to buy for my entire extended family, plus a few imaginary mates.

Skates will not receive further points deduction!
VectisSaint replied to jasoneuelllfanclub's topic in The Saints
Luton's 30 point penalty was not all for administration, it also included 10 points for paying agents via a third party and came about after 3 administrations in the Footbal League in 10 years. Chester City's points deduction was by the Football Conference. None of the points deductions were by the FA, except Pompey's 9 points which was handed out when they were in the Premier League (which is run by the FA). The FA have so far been completely consistent, as they have so far only ever handed out one points deduction for administration, viz Skates. The Football League is inconsistent, but this is not related to Chester, and there were extenuatiing circumstances for Luton. The Conference is well known for its draconian measures. -
The fact that "Mr Clueless" actually makes perfect sense of course is irrelevant.

Who'd have thought thirty year ago we'd all be sittin' here drinking Château de Chasselas, eh? In them days we was glad to have the price of a cup o' tea. A cup o' cold tea. Without milk or sugar. Or tea. In a cracked cup, an' all. Oh, we never had a cup. We used to have to drink out of a rolled up newspaper. The best we could manage was to suck on a piece of damp cloth. But you know, we were happy in those days, though we were poor. And you try and tell the young people of today that ..... they won't believe you
-
Don't disagree, but the point is everyone at the top in the FA is corrupt or incompetent as well, its not something that is exclusive to Jonny Foreigner.
-
Absolutely, we should have it controlled by the fat British corrupt crooks instead and/or the blazer brigade who are still locked in the 19th century. We (the UK) actually still have far more control than any other nation in the world, with the 4 home nations having 4 members of the IFAB and FIFA having the other 4 members ensuring that the Laws of the Game are maintained largely only with the agreement of the UK home nations.

What is there to explain? Its simple, PL football & economics, what the hell do people expect? Really happy that he doesn#t blab on about meaningless stuff, when he speaks it is usually interesting and useful, but couldn't really give a toss if he wants to speak or not.

No goalkeepers during extra time would spice things up and probably remove the need for penalties.

You could always walk (or run), and there is much food to be obtained from hedgerows and even roadkill to supplement the diet. Bloody kids today, don't know they're born :-)

Really has lost his way, not just through injuries. Was sent off 3 times for Bradford last season (and only played 26 games), including his debut and second game. Suspended for 5 games for his involvement in the Crawly brawl. Surprised that Bradford have given him a contract to be honest.
-
"Keen to resurrect his career in La Liga", so that probably counts us out then.

This. Its fecking embarrassing being English sometimes.

I suspect he was recommended by the Beavers, or the Brownies.
-
Apparently he is running the lympich torch relay in swindon tomorrow, so is presumably planning to link up with De Canio next season. I will try to trip him up tomorrow as he runs past and see if I can get a scoop (he will presumably dive and roll around for a while first but I will stick by my task).

You really are a complete arse. You epitomise all that is cRap about mesage boards. But then you are the expert aren't you..dull days. If you have trouble reading or understanding posts then I suggest you don' t bother replying because it makes you look like a **** which you may not really be in reality.

You just don't get it do you? We had a 3rd choice keeper, his name was Michael Poke. He was perfectly able, indeed has played regularly for teams in League Two and give a very good account of himself during loan spells at Torquay and Bristol Rovers (Paul Buckle influence). Played a few games for us, and apart from one poor display showed that he was capable given time. Sadly we could not keep him because we already had 3 keepers (KD, Bart & TF) and so he was let go. Poke is about the same age, but has played over 50 times at Football League level. Made a mistake joining Brighton, but will have a football career, which is more than TF will in the long term unless I am very much mistaken. You seem to have a problem with people discussing this worthless player and why we continue to employ him, and yet you continue to defend him, perpetuating the thread that you seek to stop, perhaps you are TF in disguise. If so like him you will fail to stop anything.
-
There is no longer a sell-on clause for Bale, part of the attempt to avoid administration was to cash that in.
-
I asked you before who else is in his bracket? Who else is currently employed that cannot get a regular place in a non-league team? No-one. There is no-one in the category of "sham" at Saints currently. Even Pulis managed a few games with some League Two clubs. 4 games for Grimsby Town (when they were in the League), sent back because he was not good enough, 18 games in non-league, what sort of career is that? Can't even claim he is a youngster at the age of 25. People can move on, and everyone has, with the single exception of TF.
-
Because he is now our 2nd choice keeper and is of such poor quality that he struggled to make it into a non-league team regularly. It seems ridiculous that we continue to pay a player who has no business calling himself a professional footballer, had no hope of getting a game for us when we were in League One, let alone now we are in the PL. People cannot understand why we continue to employ him, when it is perfectly possible to pay up his contract. As the OP questioned, is there something he knows that means we cannot pay him off? A final reminder of the bad old days of Lowe, how could anyone give a player of this ability a 5 year contract? Only Lowe knows I guess.
