  1. Wanyama's been very good today, like to see our full backs get at theirs as well
  2. Januzai looks some player to be fair
  3. Credit where it's due, they're playing very well and were still in this
  4. Their back 4 can be got at and their weak in CM, and defensively on the flanks
  5. This ^^^^
  6. Judging by the stick he was getting from his team mates and that MP had his head in his hands more than once I wouldn't be surprised if we see don't see him in the PL first XI again
  7. Credit to the Northam, they were superb when we were under the cosh second half
  8. He was right in front of us first half in the Itchen and it's hard it describe how bad he is, when an attacker picks up the ball. Rather than go to close down he does this sort of 3m jockey where he back pedals towards the CB leaving the attacker with all day to cross, pass, whatever he wants. This isn't once irs all the time. You had yesterday to get out to Dyer and close him down but he didn't once. His passing is also poor I feel a bit bad for him as quite simply he shouldn't be playing. Clyne (who was excellent) should have been LB and Chambers RB, that or we have to go in for a better LB in Jan
  9. Back from the game On Fox, he was truly dreadful. He just jockeys players at a distance of 3m but never tackles them. This isn't once, it's all the time even just backtracking into the box. I would be screaming at 9 year old for defending like that. We watched Fonte, Lovren and Morgan scream at him and Poch was pulling his hair out at him throughout the game. He isn't up to it whereas Clyne was superb against Davies Lallana was also very good esp first half, as was Davis who ran his socks off. thought Poch did well going to 4-2-3-1 when we under the cosh And finally Boruc, 2 genuine worldy saves first half, awesome
  10. We are in the itchen right in front of Fox and it is hard to describe how bad he is, won't close down, backs off, constantly out of position We saw Lovren, fonte and Morgan screaming at him at least twice He is miles out of his depth at this level. I'd move Clyne this side against Dyer and bring Chambers on
  11. In the ground, One of theirs has a head cap on (Michu I think)
  12. Taking my lad to his first SMS game too (he's 9), hopefully be a good football match with two good sides, be a good test of where we are i think
  13. Man Utd are going to chuck money at anything that moves in Jan and if Everton don't sell Baines they'll be in for Shaw Can't see why a deal would be done because common business sense tells you that if we are interested in selling we ought to be able to get a bidding war going between the top clubs He will go because he's a CL player already and will be England's left back for the next ten years. Just hope when we do sell him we get a ****load of money and some decent players in return
  14. Great news
  15. We jacked it in after the second goal which is understandable but really we could have won by 4 or 5. Osvaldo is class, his all round play and movement is exceptional, the flick off the outside of the boot to set Davis up was world class Swansea next week will be a real test of where we are (tickets sorted!)
  16. Can we break down a poor team at home? An early goal would have been nice
  17. I live in Edinburgh and I can tell you right now that the vast majority of folks up here will vote No because they know the whole thing doesn't stand up. There's also a feeling Salmond has to go for independence because that's what the hardcore of his party want him to do but in reality a yes vote or a close no vote just gives him more leeway for devolved power/decision making
  18. Hope we get Faulkner, very good young All rounder who will have a good ashes I reckon
  19. I think the team needs a bit of a shake up to be honest, hopefully we sign Coles and Braithwaite has looked ok but I'm not sure why we'd keep Ervine, Balcombe, and we are top loaded with too many one day players (Briggs, Wood etc). Like to see us get a front line spinner, play Wheater at 5 and keep Bates as the WK Do we have any youth players who can step up, look at teams like Yorkshire and their rate of producing players out of their academy is astonishing
  20. Brilliant !
  21. Would like to have seen Isgrove play, looked really promising and threatening when i've seen him As has been said that line up ought to be good enough to beat League 1 sides and be competitive against Champs teams but any given game and all that
  22. Adrian Newey is god in F1 and yet again he's managed to get immense downforce at the back of the car even with the blown diffusers banned. The effect of this requires a different driving style (counter-intuitive Gary Anderson called it last year) wherby when the car oversteers you apply more power (instead of lifting/opposite lock) and the car grips again. Vettel's skill is that he has adapted to this (as opposed to Webber) and a lot of the other drivers So you have a perfect storm, led mostly by Newey The sad thing is, is that even with the changes next year, Newey is SO far ahead of his peers in terms of making a car fast that given time RBR will again be the quickest package
  23. I think this is a good game to rest/rotate SRL, it's a long season, he's played the England games and in all fairness he looks a little jaded I'd start with Os up front and play Davis who was excellent on Sat and in my mind is very underrated in terms of what he offers. I'd also be tempted to play JWP in pace of JRod
  24. From what I've seen we should be a top half side but as yet not quite as good as Swansea, Everton etc Until we learn how to break down teams that come to SMS to park the bus we won't make that step up. Well see if we can against Palace
  25. Thiose thinking Osvaldo will or should play are having a laugh surely, he'll be nowhere near this competition nor should he be Ramirez on the other hand....
