Tbf Liddell is correct. Saints have no divine right to be in the PL. We had 27 years at the top and due to some appalling management decisions we ended up outside but still paying for it. Hopefully we will be back in the big time soon but it will require money, patience and an expansion of our revenue streams to stay there.

OK I know this has been covered before but lets just go over a few details: CSI are about to be liquidated, therefore as one of their assets PFC will be sold or, in the event no buyer is forthcoming, itself liquidated. How long realistically can they survive when CSI goes? We already know that the majority of the funding for PFC was based on CSI providing it. Therefore they are relying on packing out the park which is unlikely.

Yeah if that is the link, that definately is from 2010, it refers to an outstanding £7m tax bill. They haven't quite managed to ring up that much debt just yet...I am sure they will have by the end though! My mates at work are getting bored with the Pompey saga, they enjoy my updates but now are questionning how they are able to get away with it, I think that this could be it though!

I know internet forums aren't the place for sane, reasonable comments but for F***'s sake! We will be top going into 2012, yes our form in December has been poor, but we are now able to invest in the transfer window. Probably bringing in Maynard and one other to sure-up the defence. A defeat to Bristol City is not good and the performance was poor, but I trust NA to change things and get the performances back up to the level we know they can be!

Last club that went under mid-season was our friends down the road, Aldershot in 1992. All their results were 'expunged' Maidstone went under without playing a game in beginning of 1992/3 season.

The chants of 'One team in Hampshire' against Skates in the cup....never heard passion and noise like it, in any sport, at any venue! I turned round to see my friends in tears. Years of suffering seemed to be ending, although the result didn't go our way I knew we were on our way back.

Saints v Utd in the FA Cup 3rd round (under the dutch duo)...For some reason the Northam started singing You'll never walk alone in reference to Liverpool being top of the league at the time. United fans responded with 'Who the f*** do you support? and that ended that!

Have a look at the pitch at Swansea or Cardiff...Rugby and football played on both and the pitch is absolutely fantastic! Gloucester (my local rugby team - I am a season ticket holder) is currently 16,500 capacity and there may be some expansion in the next few years to make it 18 - 20K. SMS is actually bigger than Cov's ground too which is being used as well.

Newcastle, Everton or Aldershot at home please.... Other than that one of Arsenal, Liverpool, Utd, Citeh, Chelsea away - No lose situation!
