Mills is adequate cover for left back. Hopefully he will get a few games this season.

What a penis.

I said over the festive period in my original post which you disagreed with, that's why I didn't include the Hull and Leicester games. Anyway it's my opinion that the slide started during Burleys time in charge and a lot of people agree with that. It got a whole lot worse under Dodd and Gorman before Pearson managed to steady the ship.

Before the Watford game we got 3 points from a possible 12, so 7 points from a possible 21. Relegation form.

The slide started over the festive period. No doubt about that, Watford in particular was a joke.

If his myspace is anything to go by it's probably for being an absolute tit.

Funny how whenever someone wants to knock the job Pearsons done they only mention how many we won and not how many we lost.

You honestly think Pearson was more to blame than Dodd and Gorman or Crouch for taking so long to pick a manager? are you mad?!

I honestly don't understand how any Saints fan can not appreciate the job Pearson done when he took over as manager. We where an utter shambles from the Christmas period until a few games into Pearson's stint. We where used to losing games and stuck in a massive rut with unfit and unmotivated players and in the space of 13 games Pearson turned it around completely. I remember walking away from the Bristol Rovers game, I've never been that disappointed about a Saints side before, I was 100% sure we would go down and I'm not really a negative person. Like I said at the start I simply cannot understand how anyone can think he did a bad job. Sure his record wasn't great 3 wins , 3 losses and a load of draws but you have to look past that and see how much the team's mentality changed once Pearson was there, I'm not surprised the players weren't spot on mentally after the D&G stint, the whole club was a shambles and luckily for SFC Pearson managed to turn it around and keep us up. Richard Wright, Chris Lucketti and Chris Perry also deserve a lot of the praise, they where all good signings who gave there all to keep this club up and I'm personally glad one of them will be with us next season. A new management team to get behind now though, lets hope we get off to a flyer and we're looking at the other end of the table next season.

Schniederlin and Gillett in the middle wont be getting bossed around, they're both a whole lot stronger than say Safri and Euell from last season. With Perry and Svensson at the back we should be fine defensivley, even James looks like he can put himself about. We do look a bit lightweight upfront though, will all change once John is available again though. I really like the amount of pace in our squad now, we sadly lacked it a lot last season. A bit of water on the pitch will be perfect for our style as well, shouldn't be a problem as long as there isn't too much.

What did he do time for?

I read this thread title as "Rudi Sacked" gave me a scare.

Lets pray they stay fit, more like!

It was a weak Rangers side compared to the UEFA run. Ferguson and Cuellar both out injured and Davis' loan ended. Apparently Celtic are set to make a load of extra CL TV money from it now, since all there European games will be on TV now...

Footballing Karma.

Great news that one of our strikers will be going into the season with his confidence sky high. A decent result against Cardiff and I think we could get off to a flyer.

Killer as captain I hope. I doubt Jan is 100% sure though, I mean if Rasiak/Dyer/John etc come on and shine he would put them in for Saturday I reckon.

Isn't Lallana in the same boat? they should be offered new contracts asap.
-
That's a shame, couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.

2-1 Kitson and Rasiak x2

That's not good news if true. I'd much rather John or Rasiak went than Saga. I wonder how much we will get for him?
