We have Mellis who's a decent attacking midfielder and can't get a look in. What we need is a central midfielder who can play as part of a 4-4-2 and get in the box and chip in with a few goals and not unbalance the side. I don't think a midfield two of Hammond and Mellis or Schneiderlin and Mellis would work. Some sort of goal scoring midfielder would be nice but we have more pressing issues imo.

Just got back about 40 minutes ago, pretty upset about the result and performance, before the game had kicked off I really thought we would have won. Leeds really arent that special, Snodgrass was looking dangerous and Bechhio was for me the best player on the pitch, everything went through him and the defence and midfield had no idea who should have been picking him up, he floated between the lines really well. Beckford didn't look to good and spent most of the game falling over, we dealt with him fine. The back four done well, Jaidi, Perry and Harding in particular stood out and kept Leeds quiet for the majoirty of the game. Apart from a header from about 4 yards that went over the bar in the first half we limited their chances for the majority of the game without really creating anything for ourselves. In front of the back four nobody had a good game. James and Hammond where terrible both individually and as a pair, they looked rushed in possesion and it really looked like the conditions where affecting their play while the two Leeds players in the centre looked comfortble and didn't have any problems on the ball. Connolly ran his socks off a put in a real shift but he was feeding off scraps and Lambert didn't really look like scoring all game the Leeds defence stopped him from getting into the game. Can't really blame them they didn't get any service at all, I can't remember a single decent passage of play before the 80th minute. The two widemen worked hard but where restricted well. IMO we should have got Mellis in and left Connolly on the bench and gone with a 4-5-1, easy to say in hingsight but in a game like that against a really good side away you need to control the midfield. We really failed to control the midfield and I think that was partly down to Schneiderlins absense, we needed a calm head to pick up the ball and just play an easy pass which Hammond and James seemed incapable off. The game was lost in midfield, It was clear we need an extra body in the centre to calm things down a bit at times, might have been an idea to put Connolly on the left for 15 minutes and play with Lallana through the centre just to see if we could get a bit more of the ball. This one result shouldn't stop us going for a play off place, makes the next two games far more important though, we need six points no excuses. Hopefully it will make Pardew and Cortese realise we are lacking in squad depth, another midfielder and a right back are a must. Probably the coldest afternoon off my life but the roads where clear and the journey there and back couldn't have gone any better. Thought our support today was really good, one of the best atmosphere's of the season.

Just got myself the £20 simplicity Sim today, bargain.

Pardew obviously likes footballers so prefers to play James, I can see where people are coming from when they think we should play Thomas at right back but I just don't agree, we gain a bit of mettle in defence and lose a lot of attacking emphasis. We go long too often as it is, with Thomas in the side it would be ten times worse. His positioning and aerial ability are both poor, his distribution is like Beckham's compared to Thomas. Hopefully next month we will see a proper right back come in and James can start fighting for one of the midfield spots.
-
I'm sure you will get a chance tomorrow, I can't see Pardew dropping James for Thomas. Maybe if Schneiderlin is fit Thomas will play there, otherwise James seems to be Pardews choice.

Those three positions and a striker we would be sorted for this league and have a decent squad at CCC level. In terms of importance i'd say: Centre back - Whitbread Striker - Beckford Right back - Logan Def mid - Carsley Get those four and I'd be quite happy
-
Beckford would be a class signing, can't help but think he will be waiting for a big pay day in the summer when he's a free agent.
-
Agyemang would be a quality signing, if only to stop him scoring against us.
-
Absolute rubbish. We've played plenty of good teams with James at right back and won without him putting in the performance of his life, don't really understand why Leeds would have to be any different. How can you be so sure exactly? Did they sign Messi without me noticing?

Generally if you get a collection of 20,000 people somewhere there will be some mongs yes...

10/1 and 20/2 are exactly the same, that's just basic fractions. You get odds like 13/2 rather than having to do 6.5/1, sounds to me like you should just use decimal odds if you're betting online.

01:36 and 2:53, since it's an early start can probably get an earlier train back. -
Britain isn't grinding to a halt at all, you're just being a fanny about it all. There will be no problem at all driving up there, just leave with plenty of time and drive sensibly.

They aren't in good form, we are in very good form. We will win.

Think we went down on either 30 or 33.

If they brought back the Carlsberg bottle bars in the Northam concourse they'd be able to reduce the queues a fair bit and make some more money. Strange decision to get rid of them. -
Haven't been this excited about an away game for ages. Can't wait, we're going to batter them.

Soton Central -> Bletchley works out at £20 each if you're going as a group of four. Pain in the arse that it's a 7pm kick off, going to have to book an afternoon off now rather than just work through my lunch break. -
FM10 10.2 Patch and Data Update released

Papa was ****e in my game, didn't renew the loan and now in the fourth season he's a free agent. If I download this patch, will I still be able to play on my save with the last patch? -
7pm kicks offs are ****ing stupid, ridiculous decision. Really don't understand the need to constantly change things which aren't broke.
