  1. Got a good two inches here:
  2. I don't think anyone ever thought he was quality, he always gave 100%, never moaned and rushed himself back from injury to try and save us last season so people are always going to respect him. He was far from the ideal midfielder but you can't fault his work rate, hope he does well with Doncaster.
  3. Davis - Davis Harding - Bale Murty - Wright Jaidi - Baird Perry - Lundekvam Lallana - Skacel Hammond - Pele Schneiderlin - Guthrie Waigo - Surman Lambert - Jones Connolly - Rasiak Pardew - Burley
  4. searched a few different snippets of that article in google and it didn't throw up any results other than the 606 link. Really hope it's true but I don't trust anything on 606 at all.
  5. I'd be happy with Pericard to come in as back up for Lambert. If it means we can send Paterson off on loan to a league two side where he can get 15-20 games under his belt before next season then it's even better. A striker like Bernard would be there to replace Saganowski and give Connolly some competition and a bit of cover.
  6. People have been saying Perry is getting towards the end of his shelf life ever since we signed him and he's consistently been better than Thomas. I'd get rid of Thomas asap while we might still get 100-150k for him and then say goodbye to Perry in the summer and encourage him to take up his coaching badges. I get the impression he'd be a fantastic coach, he reads the game so well.
  7. It's still 45 minutes earlier.
  8. Antonio just needs some coaching and reserve games. I am one of his biggest fans but he really shouldn't be starting games at this level and stage in his development. Let him play the last 20 minutes if we need a goal and let him do his business. He seems to either be one of the very best players on the pitch or one of the worst. Recently he's been terrible, Colchester was one of the worst individual performances i've seen in a long time but even then you could see the potential, he still had the confidence to run at players and get to the byline which is rare in football. Really hope we can sign him in the summer, if Dyer was worth 400k then I'd say anything 300k or below would be a fair price for him.
  9. A family of four could go to the Exeter game for £20, makes a difference when they're that cheap.
  10. If we signed those two, signed an attacking midfielder to replace Mellis and manage to keep hold of Schneiderlin then this could be the best January transfer window in a long time.
  11. Wednesday 20th 7pm ko
  12. you know you can do it a fair bit cheaper if you go with a groupsaver discount rather than using the one young persons rail card. edit: Using the group saver comes to £79 for the 4 tickets.
  13. Stern John started for them against Blackpool. Personally think he deserves any abuse he gets but it always worries me that he will go and score a goal and get the last laugh ala Kevin Phillips.
  14. I don't think that's a problem with the two of them as a pair, more that they dont trust our centre backs to retain possesion so they keep coming deep to get the ball and then staying deep. If we had a cultured ball playing centre back alongside Jaidi who could play from defence It would help Hammond and Schneiderlin and give us a bit more balance. Most of our play goes straight over their heads because our defenders take the easy option and pump the ball to Lambert.
  15. I forgot quite how much I hate McGoldrick. This post in particular brought back the memories lol
  16. Went for a couple in HITW after the Orient game at about 9 and it was packed with Southampton, good times. Wouldn't want to spend the whole day in there before a game but it's ok for a couple and not too expensive.
  17. Gillett isn't anywhere near as good as Hammond or Schneiderlin, not a chance.
  18. What's there to explain? He used us to get fully fit stalled on a contract offer and then ran off to Palace. Now he's ended up on loan at Ipswich.
  19. Stern John is going to get some stick after the stunt he pulled in the summer.
  20. I wouldn't be so confident they're a good side. They shouldn't be anywhere near the relegation zone and on current form they're right near the top. Will be a massive test for us, we need everyone playing well if we're going to win.
  21. One of my best mates is an Ipswich fan, we simply can't lose this one. I'll be distraught. Still I think if we've got everyone fit and we play well we shouldn't fear them at home.
  22. We need someone in the Lampard / Gerrard mould. All four of our central midfielders are content with just sitting and passing a bit, none of them bust a gut to get into the box and score a goal.
  23. Seth Johnson was part of the Derby team that beat us in the play offs. Hasn't played football since then, his last game was the play off final I think.
  24. Was pointing out that's the game which is re arranged.
