Interesting you have time for Lancashire but you're one of the first to write off Lloyd James. I do agree with what you're saying, Lancashire should never have been used that last season was far too early in his development.

I remember reading the same from Cov fans, on a 6th month contract after being out of work for a few months I don't think he can afford to have an attitude problem here. If it's true and he does sign for us it will probably be his last shot at football in England, can't see him getting another chance.

Add in a possible JPT Final against Carlisle or Leeds and a possible FA Cup 6th round game and it could be a pretty testing month.

Would be a decent short term signing. Think he was at his best for Coventry coming from the left in a 4-5-1/4-3-3. Cover for Lallana and a different option for the last 15-20 minutes if things aren't going our way. I don't really understand the negativity towards him, he's a decent player and would provide backup to key positions. Not sure why people think every signing has to be good enough to jump straight into the starting XI and improve the team, football is a squad game.

Nah, he got his 5th yellow the game after the deadline changed to make it 10 yellows. I don't really rate either of them. Barts distribution is shocking and Davis is scared of coming for the ball. Davis will probably get the spot because of his experience.

Morgan isn't suspended, needs another 5 yellows before any suspension and there hasn't been anything official on a Jaidi injury. Davis, James, Fonte, Jaidi, Harding, Waigo, Schneiderlin, Hammond, Lallana, Lambert and Connolly would be my guess for the XI. Wouldn't be suprised if we bring in another new face before Millwal which would be interesting.

Ill trust your judgement on that, I can't really remember any individual Exeter performances. Apparently it's 275k upfront 100k if we're promoted in the next 3 years and 100k after 20 games. That's lifted from an Exeter forum, from some poster who called the transfer a few days ago the general consensus is that he's a decent player but replaceable for that money. Sounds like a Jaidi type who'd rather just get rid of the ball than try and pass to feet.

Hmm not sure you should be underwhelmed. We now have two CCC standard centre backs in Jaidi and Fonte with Seaborne as very able back up - then pick one from Thomas, Perry, Lancashire and Martin to complete our set of centre backs. 22 is very young for a defender, Pardew obviously see's potential in a Fonte / Seaborne partnership. I'm happy that Pardew has targetted the weakest area of our team and improved it dramatically. Even with an injury to a key defender we still look strong, two months ago if Jaidi had picked up an injury we would have been in serious trouble.

Well if the left sided player we bring in is better than Lallana he will either move into the middle or sit on the bench.

An Injury to Lambert, Hammond or Schneiderlin would been the only ones we'd have to worry about. We have decent cover for the rest of the team, hopefully we sign a new midfielder (Stock/Danns) then it's just a case of keeping Lambert in cotton wool between games.
