We should be winning them all. Can't see any reason to fear Millwall after the first game of the season, we've come a long way since then.
-
Thank **** for that. Bad enough that you're coming to Walsall.

Isn't it 1200 with another possible 600? Taking 1800 up to Leeds so close to Christmas would be a decent turn out. We never really take loads to games up north. I'm going up with a couple of mates, really looking forward to the game would be great if we can do them over away. Hate Leeds.

He's just the new scapegoat for alot of our fans. Some people at St Marys feel the need to be moaning about someone even when we're winning and playing good stuff.

Maybe you should spend a little bit of time actually watching Lloyd James play football, didn't really do much wrong yesterday. Doesn't have the same physical presence as Wotton but he's better with nearly every other aspect of his game. There's also no way we could switch so fluidly between 4-5-1 and 4-4-2 with Wotton in place of James. He should really have got an assist almost as soon as he switched to the right, how Waigo missed from a yard out is beyond me the ball in from James was perfect. He seemed to know when to go long and when to play an easy ball short, would much rather have him in holding midfield than Wotton. Wether James is the long term solution who knows, on yesterdays viewing I don't see why he shouldn't keep his place for the Walsall game on Saturday.

Wotton's attempt at a through ball towards the end of the game that went straight to a Wycombe defenders feet was a highlight. Like having him come off the bench to shore up the midfield but he should just stick to hoofing it in those situations.

Playing crap and winning 1-0 is never pretty but it's very important. Glad to see we can grind out results like today when we need to.

He was brilliant today, really improved on last season where he was pretty poor. Made some tackles today that he would never have even gone for last season. He's passing was as good as ever, he's lobbed ball to Lambert in the first half was exquisite, just a shame that Lambert was offside as he controlled it perfectly first time. The midfield where all top notch today, couldn't ask for more from any of them really. James looked decent in the holding role, his range of passing is huge compared to Wotton. Just a shame he's not as physical as Wotton off the ball.

Shall be spending the Sunday night in Essex before going to the game. All about Leeds a week and a bit before, that should be a cracking game.

Get off your arse and come to a game with us then. Come to one of the games over Christmas if you're back in Southampton. -

I don't think you've got the first clue about the average football fan. Everyone enjoys it for different reasons, you really have no right to tell people what they can and can't enjoy at football. -
Anyone know what day this will be played on now? Will have to book an afternoon off work.
-
Best of a pretty average bunch when it comes to corners.
-
Covers more ground than Wotton, better range of passing and can take a decent corner. He's no way near as bad as some one here like to make out. For a holding midfielder he's got everything, not the best right back but he's still a decent utility player to call on.
-
Only change from Saturday would be James in for Wotton. No point rushing Connolly back if he's fit, just stick him on the bench. We really need to win these next two games, think it will be two very close games though. Wycombe have hit a bit of form and Walsall don't lose much at home.

Madness. The defence lacked any sort of cover, we would be relying on Lancashire (useless), Perry (old) and Thomas (injury ridden) as our only centre backs. They aren't very good as it, we'd have shipped goals in every game. Paterson is too young to be relied on and Saganowski doesn't want to be here, even if he did he's still pretty poor. There was again no real cover, we simply wouldn't score anywhere near enough goals. The midfield is ok but we would have lacked a driving force without Hammond and no real pace without Waigo or Antonio. We would be relying on youngsters and it would be just like last season. There are some very good sides in this league, our team now is very competetive, the team we had at the start of the season that played Millwall, Huddersfield, Swindon etc would have been in a relegation battle. They where that poor, it's good at Pardew has sorted it out quite quickly.

I really cant understand why Mills was brought on and not James. We needed a calm head in midfield to keep possession, I would have got James on after 55-60 mins. Schneiderlin isn't going to at his best on that sort of surface in those conditions. We couldn't keep hold of the ball at all in the second half, it was probably our worst 45 minutes since we got Jaidi and Waigo and the whole team turned the corner. Three well worked goals are probably the only real positive from yesterday. Was also nice to see Bart come from quite a few crosses although he clearly needs a few games to get to his best.
-
We will probably end up with Blackpool away.
-
If we got a prem team we'd just get turned over. I really didn't enjoy that Man United game last season, something like that again would be ****. I don't really see the fascination in getting a big team just so we can fill the stadium. If we had to get a prem team I'd much prefer an away trip so it's at least a day out before we get dicked.

After the game on ITV.

Ipswich home or away. If not any league 2 or lower away.

You boring ****. -
If Connolly and Lallana are both missing i'd go with ---------- Bart Murty Jaidi Thomas Harding ----- James - Hammond Antonio - Schneiderlin - Waigo --------- Lambert Subs: Forecast, Perry, Mills, Wotton, Gobern, McNish and Paterson The bench pretty much shows how weak our squad are, if things wen't tits up during the game we'd have very little chance of chaning it with the subs. Shame Mellis isn't allwoed to play, he'd be perfect with Lallana and Connolly out.

Probably just costs more when they have to book the coaches at a shorter deadline.
