No one can be negative about this signing, the only reason to be negative is if he's not better than what we currently have. On the face of it he could be a lot better than what we have at left back so therefore it's a great signing. Nigel did say that the only players coming in will be ones that are better than what we have. We don't owe the weaker players a living, Harding and Dickson will have to work harder now. Great stuff! Hopefully more to come.

Whenever I score I have to hug her afterwards or she gets in a mood!

What ticket tax is that? Paid when I got there and and it was £14 like it said on the tin. £14 to watch 4 saints goals, decent price to me.

Was he the number 9? Well funny, he looked well fat, still got passed Seaborne every time though! Their 23 up front looked lively and did all the running for them. De Ridder looked good tonight, he tried hard at getting forward and he's very quick, maybe even Jonno Quick. Thought he disappeared a few times though. Chappers never stopped running and looked very good, as did Lambo, glad they both scored. Someone posted about Seaborne being the whipping boy with a sad face, unfortunately when you play absolutely awful like he did you will be criticised, we need a new CB in asap and have Martin as the 3rd choice. Another poor performance was Guly, he played in his preferred role of just off the striker but was languid and disinterested I thought, seemed to be lazily drifting offside a fair few times aswell. Overall it wasn't a brilliant performance until Hammond and Lallana came on and the midfield rarely lost possession then, went up a few gears and looked excellent. It'll be interesting to see the starting 11 on Saturday, wouldn't be surprised to see Guly dropped and De Ridder down the right, if no new CB I expect that to be the only change.

This needs showing again for the The9s and Hypos of this world that have nothing else in their lives but to find sticks to beat the chairman with.
-
Has he ever been right about anything in his life or does he make most of his stuff up like 99% of people hiding behind twitter?
-
Well funny. Some of you people really need to get a life. There is a probably a large article/interview in there with Cortese about the coming season and his plans etc. Do some of you saddos really need to start crying at everything Cortese does? Personally I think it's funny. Not really comparable to Lowe as Cortese is actually good at his job and is sending us in the right direction, however much it irks some of the geeks on here.

Reading that he think virtually every team will do well!
-
Surely you must know that pafes = pages and leeds = leads. Not really that hard is it? I think you were just being clever though so well done.
-
Am I the only one where these links leeds to errors and not found pafes?

Not worried at all, really looking forward to the season. It is just football afterall.

LOLZ at people saying no thanks to Duff! He would rip this league apart. Mental.

A player who has stuck with us through thick and thin, especially thin, times so fully deserved IMO. Will see us get to the prem then can take up a coaching role. Great personality to have around the bus!
-
Really? Wow, where is that written down as proof? I'd love to see the list that you have obviously seen that shows us what he puts through the accounts, they must be out there for us all to read yes as a nobody like you has seen them.

Stupid thread. If Cortese continues to run this club as brilliantly and professionaly for some years to come and gets us in the Premiership and beyond then surely he's earned every penny. How much do other Chairmen of top clubs get paid? Considering some managers are on 10m a year I reckon 600k for one of the best Chairman in the country is a fair price.

Is the HCDAJFU the new rumours thread? There are loads of rumours going round all the time, does someone have start as new thread everytime a little snippit comes up? Makes the site look active I suppose.

He's a league 1 player joining a championship team that will be hoping to stave off relegation, we're after championship players that will help us gain promotion and can play at the highest level. CMS obviously doesn't have the drive to go to a top team and fight for a place, worried about his own abilities perhaps, gone to a team that has guarenteed him a start.

Jesus! "We haven't bought anyone yet before the players have returned to pre season training, must mean the club is being sold!" What a load of wet blankets.
-
Meh, we'll sign better.
-
Not in a lunchtime but had a Rochefort 6, 8 and 10 in an evening followed by Westmalle dubbel then a tripel.
-
That's more like it. Also add Karmeliet Maredsous La Chouffe Westmalle And Real Ales: ESB Goodens Gold 49er Poachers Choice Dark Star APA
-
In your opinion, and you're opinion is usually 90% ******** Do you know how many real ales there are out there? To say 90% is sweet horrible stuff is completely ignorant seeing as you're probably not even had 9% of real ales.

Ha, this backfired for Dune's agenda against Cortese. Just looks like a knob

Decent signings, wonder what percentage of their income is going to be on the wage bill? Over 100% They'll be in a lot of trouble if they don't get promoted. All they need is a 3-6 month injury for Nolan and then what? Also with these additions I don't think they'll have the strongest squad, you need proven scorers at this level and I think they'll lose all their current ones in the next month or so, I think they might be the CC team trying to get Macail-Smith on high wages no doubt.

Come on, prove me right and I'll have a nice birthday tomorrow!
