Players who are IMO up to the job: GK: Davis, Bart, Pernecky RB: Murty LB: Mills, Harding CB: Jaidi, Trottman, Thomas RM: Antonio, Waigo AM: Schneiderlin, Melliss DM: Hammond, James LM: ST: Lambert, Connolly, Lallana Based on that I'd say we need to offload Forecast, Molyneux, Pulis, Holmes, Saga, Poke, Wotton, Gillett and Perry. Bring in a striker, at least one left midfielder, a centre half and a right back.

Just watched the episode on iplayer having decided to watch House last night instead. I quite enjoyed it, but I'd agree with Landrew and 19C that it has become a silly parody of itself overall. It's a shame because they have some great ideas with a lot of the stuff they do. It's a shame it is ruined by the terrible acting of the presenters and the almost slapstick way in which things go wrong. Last week for example, the lorry backing into the Sandero and James pretending to be all upset. It was just terrible. The same this week with James 'accidentally' pulling onto the motorway and 'accidentally' leaving the handbrake off on the original Geoff. I wish the producers would realise it's the things they DO that are funny and not the things they say. I'd like to see more stuff like last nights electric car, the attempt to get the reliant robin into space, the cross channel cars etc. but without the terrible acting.

Ordered mine this morning. Apparently we sill have 1,000 odd left. It's going to be tight for me as I'm not scheduled to get off work in Bristol until around midday. 2:30 drive to Sixfields from here. 6,666 posts. Eek!

Oh, looked like a bit of a face plant at the end of that. Anybody got the email address for the 2good2bad section of MOTD2?

No pace, no trickery. Too easy to read IMO. Injury record not to impressive either.

As I've already said, that money was spent on a sh*t squad, minus it's best players. Would Man City be the team they are at the moment itf they'd sold Bellamy, Given, Richards, Ireland and Petrov in the summer. Just look at the players we've brought in Lambert and Connelly - Needed to replace BWP, DMG and Euell. They are doubtless better, but the players lost scored 20 odd goals between them. Harding - Replaced Skacel. Again an improvement, but not massively so. Hammond - Replaced Surman and Gillett. Yes I know they have differing roles, but overall I'd rather have Surman and I'd say we're weaker in central midfield. Jaidi and Trottman - An improvement, but we have lost Saeijs and Perry is a year older. Antonio and Waigo - Definite improvement there. No arguments. Overall a definite improvement in the squad, but it's not like we've really gone overboard. Small improvements in several possitions.

No it's fairly simple. Last season we had a terrible squad which I am sure would have struggled to be in the top half of League 1. From that squad we've lost 7 or 8 of the best players. Yes we have been taken over, but we aren't the Man City of L1. Marcus is a sensible business man and thankfully (IMO anyway) he isn't splashing the cash). He's trying to run the club as a profitable and sustainable business. Given the new manager, the fact that only 4 of last years squad are in the first team and the minus 10, I'd say we're not doing too badly. Patience is a virute.

Pompey beatten by Stoke, making it 10 defeats in 13 league games. They are still only 4 points from safety somehow. They are lucky there's so much sh*t in the bottom five of the Prem.

Imagine the rage of the Skates though. They must be green with envy.

I think it's partly because we sing too fast. I say "we", I personally give up when the song gets faster than a wild west cattle auction.

Compared to Wigan, I'd say we're like the Great Wall of China.
-
I've got an R24 and R27 Scalextric cars. I swear they are quicker than the actual thing.

I'd rest a couple of players, but for me the FA Cup and JPT ARE priorities this season. Never say never, but I can't see Saints going down this season. Equally the playoffs are going to require an enormous stretch of reality. We started the season 10 points from 6th spot and we are currently 16 points away. We are a long way away and have moved further away. I want to be in the third round, so we at least have a chance for another crack at a Prem team. I'd play Bart James Thomas Perry Mills Waigo Schneiderlin Wotton Holmes Connelly Lallana That's assuming Trottman is cup-tied, if not he is in for Perry. Rest Hammond, Jaidi, Harding and Lambert. Give Bart another run out too.
-
Just seen them on the football league show too. James' tackle looks worse than I remember it. Not even close to winning the ball. Our goals were both quality though.
-
Harvey take note. THIS is how to troll.
-
I'd have though Waigo was more the wide option. Granted he can play up front too, but my point is why do we have three defenders on the bench, but no out and out striker.
-
That was an incredible goal. Worthy of winning a Champs League final.
-
Think he was released on a free, hence the "come and get me".
-
Bring back Jan-Paul Saeijs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Does the boss know you've been testing scalextric cars in the wind tunnel instead of building a new front wing? No wonder you can't win a race.
-
I know Pardew has stated Saga has no Saints future and neither of them really look up to first team standard, but surely we should have one of them on the bench. The subs today included Thomas, Perry and Murty, but no strikers. If anything happens to DC or Rickie, we pretty much have to revert to one up front. Either that or move Lallana forward and move things around in midfield.
-
I'm sort of in no-man's land between the 'Davis is God' bandwagon and the 'loser with no place at Saints' bandwagon.
-
Rat arsed already. Well done.
-
Too many player's places ARE guaranteed. Davis, James, Harding, Jaidi, Hammond, Morgan, Lallana, Connelly or Lambert would all have to push the boat out to get dropped. There just simply isn't a better alternative *****il Murty is fit)
