  1. Don't need the ticket, but you can't send or receive PMs because you're a registered user. Might want to put a contact email address down mate.
  2. http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/troglodyte.htm I could almost put a username to each category on that website! Brilliant find.
  3. Does Nigel realise that clip is from a film? Haha
  4. Purely coincidental... I was going to cook it last night but managed to pick up a couple of Garlic Kievs for 85p as they were going out of date on Saturday evening so had them instead. The gammon is really nice by the way, good purchase. The joint actually cost £2.98, I must have got that mixed up with something else.
  5. My bad, I copied the first line-up and forgot to take Connolly out.
  6. If West Ham play 4-4-2, I would play: -----------------------DAVIS------------------ RICHARDSON-----FONTE-----HOOIVELD-----FOX GULY---------HAMMOND-----CORK----DE RIDDER ---------------LAMBERT-----CONNOLLY--------- Subs: Bart, Martin, Schneiderlin, Chaplow, Holmes If they play 4-5-1 I would play: --------------------------DAVIS---------------------------- RICHARDSON---------FONTE-----HOOIVELD--------------FOX GULY------HAMMOND------CORK-----CHAPLOW----DE RIDDER --------------------------LAMBERT-------------------------
  7. Block 1 and 2 weren't open when I called up at about 12pm, they must have decided to open it shortly after that. B*llocks.
  8. Boiled it twice, let it rest for a few hours while I was at my lectures and made a glaze of honey and french mustard, which i've put quite liberally over the top and around the sides of the joint. Put it in the oven now on Gas Mark 4 covered with foil, going to give it half an hour then put it on at Gas Mark 6 for 15 minutes. Larvely. Best part about this is the meat itself only cost £1.74.
  9. Moves are being made for a two-tier Premier League, obviously. Shame really.
  10. We tried that one christmas with a ham, it just burned in the oven! Didn't work very well... I think I will try honey and mustard (mostly because those are the only things that I wouldn't need to buy) - thanks for the advice chaps.
  11. Just got my ticket, not many left not apparently. Block 1 and 2 aren't open though. I'm in Block 3, Row H.

    Gammon

Hi folks, I'm cooking a nice gammon joint at the moment, it's 0.7kg and i'm currently boiling it in water to cook it through before putting it in the oven this evening. Any tips for what to finish it with for oven cooking? I hear mustard and brown sugar is nice. THAAAANKS
  13. I do know a few student nurses mate, any reason for wanting to get them involved or is it just lecherousness? What can I play for you on Friday? We've got a rather extensive music library at the station actually, i'm impressed. Probably got most things, if not I can always put some tracks on a CD or something. Where do you drink before games mate? (If you do at all) Would be good to grab a pint sometime.
  14. No luck with SASSH then Mr H?
  15. Yes, he's been great so far and seems like a great bloke too - always good to have characters like that in the dressing room. I would like to see us sign a quality left-footed centre-back in January or the summer, but he would be fantastic back-up and would be pushing for a starting place if his current form continued if we signed him.
  16. That's a Premiership quality midfield and attack, but they look a bit weak in defence. I reckon it will be more a case of us having to get service to the wings rather than passing through the middle on Tuesday, they will break up anything we try and put through our centre mids. They've got ex-Skate Papa Bouba Diop on the bench as well - I can see him coming on if they're ahead after an hour to sit in front of their defence. This will be the hardest game we'll play this season I reckon, they're on fire at the moment but so are we. It'll be a cracking fixture for sure.
  17. Didn't manage to get Reading away tickets, so buying tickets for this game tomorrow. Anyone know whether there are any seats left in the Itchen North? I bought tickets for my mates after the Watford game for the Kingsland North, but I imagine that will have sold out long ago!
  18. Pleased with a point from that, I thought our heads would drop after conceding the early goal.
  19. I have asthma.
  20. Lol. Derek McInnes is a good manager though, they'd do well to appoint him.
  21. No problem mate, it actually helped us to plan the show a bit more having the dedication on there. My sidekick said the song was 'Goo Goo Dolls' by 'Iris', so we tried to take the p!ss out of him a bit. Hard to do when you can't swear. Think the show was relatively successful for a first go, onwards and upwards. I'll PM you later with some details for somebody in charge of the station, they ought to be able to help you out with that mate.
  22. I think it's more to do with his court case than an actual injury, but a loan striker is probably a good idea anyway.
  23. Thanks for the advice mate, that's brilliant. Does it irk you that when you were hosting student radio programmes in the 70s, I wasn't to be born for another 20 years? I think our general aim with music is to play what we want, we probably won't pander to the listeners that much. That's part of the reason I signed up, to get some decent music on the radio for a change.
  24. Our only playlist requirements are to play at least 2 tracks from a specified playlist. We have to play 2 tracks from Playlist A or B, and then any of the rest we can bring in ourselves or use the large library on the system. Playlist A consists of recent chart music and popular tracks. Playlist B consists of 'massive hits' from the last year or so. Thankfully there are a few decent tracks on either playlist, so we'll be relatively pleased with our musical output. I've got a few songs to put on a CD or something to play on air at some point, got a few crackers. If anyone who's in a local band or something wants their track played on air, just give me a copy (radio friendly obviously, no swearing) and i'll whack it on for ya.
