  1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8909409.stm 21 votes for Chelsea to come 1st 6 votes for Man Utd to come 1st 2 votes for Arsenal to come 1st 2 votes for Man City to come 1st 2 votes for Liverpool to come 1st That's pretty conclusive then! I think it'll be a close thing at the top, but Chelsea will win it in the last few games imo. Methinks the table will look like; 01- Chelsea 02- Man Utd 03- Man City 04- Arsenal 05- Tottenham 06- Liverpool 07- Everton 08- Birmingham 09- Aston Villa 10- Stoke 11- Sunderland 12- Fulham 13- Bolton 14- West Ham 15- Newcastle 16- Wolves 17- Blackburn ---------------- 18- Wigan 19- West Brom 20- Blackpool
  2. Or North-East, North-West, South-East or South-West?
  3. Well, he saved our club from extinction for one. Then he appointed a ruthless Executive Chairman (NC), who has in turn employed a top-class coaching and management staff at all levels. He pumped millions into wiping off all of our debts, helping to buy key players like Lambert and Fonte, and funded work on our academy and training facilities so that we can produce stars of our own in the future. Who would have thought, when we were staring down the barrel of the gun of oblivion (bad metaphor, sorry) after our relegation from the CCC, that at the end of next season we'd have 2 of the football league's top scorers playing for us and we'd win a cup final at Wembley? And to top it all off, he seemed like a genuine, kind-hearted and lovely bloke who had a real passion for this club and wanted us to succeed. I'd say that's worth mourning tbh. I guess it all depends on whether you saw ML as 'another owner', or somebody that we all owe a huge amount of thanks to, and who this world will miss very much. WIFM
  4. I believe Draino76 beat you to that one already
  5. Very good idea that. WIFM
  6. He's had worse luck injury-wise than Connolly. No thanks.
  7. The sheer c*ntmuggery (yes, it's a word - albeit one that I made up) of some people on this forum has really come to light now. Markus took this club from the brink of extinction, and he has built strong foundations for us to build on and reach our goal. He pumped millions of his own hard-earned money into this club and after his sudden death, what does he get from the fans? Moaning and contempt about a poxy football match being postponed. I think it's a very noble move by MK Dons, a club that i'm not particularly fond of in essence, but one that has just earned my respect through their actions. It's slightly harrowing when you see more sympathetic messages from fans of other clubs rather than your own when one of the most important men in your club's history dies. We Southampton fans owe a great deal to Markus, and the least we can do in his memory is to have a bit of time to sort things out at the club, and then a home win in front of a 32k sell-out crowd against Leyton Orient next Saturday.
  8. Still in shock, we should all raise a glass in his memory tonight. RIP big man, thank you for saving my club. You will always be a saint.

    Kenwyne Jones

Agree with S_S, Jones will be prolific with Stoke. A big, strong, physical player like him suits Stoke down to the ground. He's pretty damn quick too. They've got themselves a good deal there.
  10. Harewood and Lambert would be a brilliant strikeforce in the Championship!
  11. Best bit - "PORT. F*CKING. VALE!"
  12. I miss the good old days on S4E when nobody ever argued
  13. FWIW, i'd start with Oxo up front again. MK are on about the same level as B'muff, and the lad can only improve with first team football. ------------------Davis----------------- Butterfield----Fonte----Martin----Harding Puncheon---Morgan----Deano-----Lallana ---------------Oxo----Lambert---------- Subs: Bart, Jaidi, Wotton, Dickson, Mills, Connolly, Barnard
  14. I'd pay 8k for Harewood FWIW... -----------------Davis--------------- Butterfield---Fonte---Martin---Harding --------------Schneiderlin------------ ---------Hammond---Lallana---------- Harewood------Lambert-----Barnard--
  15. 3-2 to the Oppo FC!
  16. I'm not so sure Pancake, by the time the 2nd Round ties would come around, quite a few of their key players will have left. Utaka and Boateng are just two of them. Not sure they'd be bringing anyone in of note either. We could 'ave them! FWIW i'd quite like to play Oxford, would be a great match after their slaughtering of Brizzle Rovers and they'd be well up for a cup run after not playing in the LC since 2005!
  17. [pedanticism]Loach plays for Watford in the Championship, and Fielding plays for Blackburn in the Premiership[/pendanticism] I think Capello is just trying to go for a more youthful approach, and fair play to him. Loach and Hart are two of England's best prospects. Don't know much about Fielding.
  18. http://tinyurl.com/28una2l F*cking hilarious "Universe is 14 billion years old. Seems silly to celebrate one year. Be like having a f*cking parade every time i take a p!ss." "I lost 20 pounds...How? I drank bear p!ss and took up fencing. How the f*ck you think, son? I exercised."
  19. Sheffield Wednesday face a winding-up order on Wednesday over a £550m tax bill which HM Revenue & Customs claim has not been paid. (Daily Mail) (I understand that's a typo, the real amount is £550k)
  20. Andranik Teymourian on a free anyone?
  21. You're a complete plank.
  22. Awful news, condolences to his family and RIP mate.
