From today Sun. ----- Last night, a Villa fan who claimed he was singled out as the prime suspect by Redknapp protested his innocence. Warehouse supervisor Mick Green, 20, from Walsall was sitting in the second row behind the opposition dugout. He said: “Redknapp pointed in my direction and screamed ‘You f****** threw that.’ “I pointed at myself and said: ‘Do you mean me?’ “He replied: ‘Yes, f****** you.’ “Then a steward asked me what had happened and I said I had not got a clue because I had been watching the action on the pitch when the incident occurred. “The first I knew anything untoward had happened was when the linesman went down. “I admit I gave Redknapp a hand gesture, but all the Villa fans were chanting: ‘Redknapp’s a w*****.’ “I would never throw a coin at anyone because I do not want to risk a lifetime ban.
