SAINTS CELEBRATE 125 YEARS at the Mayflower Feb 13th 2011
Guan 2.0 replied to mel1961red's topic in The Saints
So after all the back and forth over the last few days, we've had it from Adkins himself that there is no official ban? If true, it seems like mud throwing in the hope that it sticks from Le tiss and co. -
Don't worry, anybody who doens't want to give up your house to build a statue Matt Le Tiss is not a true saints fan in CB fry's eyes. Also he thinks that thinking that Matt might not be a perfect human being, and could even be wrong on some things (i.e. pinnacle), makes you in love with Cortese, who is just "some rat faced foriegner" (his words). In fact, a lot of his posting follow a hypersexual bent. And at all costs, disavow any positive vibes towards the chairman. Odd that!

When I went to the 'last do at the dell' the (tuxedo event on the pitch) where former greats were on hand to deliver the stories from yesteryear, and Alistair Mcgowan others provided entertainment, a great time was had. I got to meet Ted bates for a second time, and Even got to speak t Lowe (who in person was very much the baby eater - and a lot more comfortable in a 'natrual setting'. Anyway, my point is do you know how many of the current playing squad attended the event? None. And did it make a blind bit of difference? No. Because it was an event that centered around the rememberence of things past. Just like this one. And if you think that the invite (and media campaign beforehand against cortese) were unplanned and co-incidental then you and the orgainsers are either a) Naive beyond belief b)

It's gone twilight and now it's time to watch coronation street. Does anybody know if Nigel's favourite bus is a double decker?

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC

Why will Nick Illinsgworth not comment on this forum? Has he been denied access here too? -
On saints to win 4-1 @ 70-1? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2284347,00.html Also on sky bet the 'reversal' half time/ full time odds look pretty good (22-1, and 25-1). Seeing as it's happened the last few games and both teams are full of goals. Btw anybody know what the odds were on exeter leading at half time and saints winning by full time were?

Ha ha, Quite! 2 of them are women, while of the men, 1 other saints fan, one Liverpool and one Blackburn. Two are travelling down from Sheffield and one from manchester, so a change of venue is a no go - though don't think I didn't have the idea of just giving them the postcode for satnav, and trying the whole "my word, this appears to be London road, the ground, not the street in Southampton, oh well, now we're here we might as well go in". Oh and *start* to get invited to robot parties? It's the very marked difference that my uni mates and my friends who married/pushed out rug ruts early are set apart by.

Hello all. Hoping to catch up with some old friends on saturday - had arranged it for 5ish, not realising that the game would be a late kick off, thinking i could go after listening on solent. Now I don't really want to cancel (cannot rearrange for earlier, or miss the game, and for once, going to a bar with loud fellow saints fans is not going to be productive. So I was wondering if anybody knew of any quieter bars in either Southampton or Winchester, that show the match (even on a little screen that a can sneak at a glance at now and then). Thanks in advance.

League Table since Adkins - indications for 2nd half of season?
Guan 2.0 replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Yes beacuse that's how it works. That's why Chelsea have won every single competition every single year under Abramovich. L'oh..... -
Welcome Jonathan! Hope you do well. Just don't yawn in any photos or you will be Murdered.

This. Never has there been a better example of being a whining, shortsighted pr*ck than Jason Puncheon. As Adkins was picking the side that bossed large parts of the game against Man Utd on national televsion, he was sitting on the bench for the under 21's. LOLphins.

Does anybody have the email for solent, so we can ask a commentator to ask the player concerned on tuesday? Then we can put this boring guessing game thread to bed. :p

Well oh they might wear classic Reeboks Or knackered Converse Or tracky bottoms tucked in socks But all of that's what the point is not The points that's there ain't no romance around there And there's the truth that they can't see They'd probably like to throw a punch at me And if you could only see them, then you would agree Agree that there ain't no romance around there You know, oh it's a funny thing you know We'll tell 'em if you like We'll tell 'em all tonight They'll never listen Because their minds are made up And course it's all okay to carry on that way And over there there's broken bones There's only music, so that there's new ring tones And it don't take no Sherlock Holmes To see it's a little different around here Don't get me wrong though, there's boys in bands And kids who like to scrap with pool cues in their hands And just cause he's had a couple o' cans He thinks it's alright to act like a dickhead

To switch to an orthodox 4-4-2 with Dickson at left back, guly and Lambert up front, and Harding left wing. It didn't work out. Had Lallana been available, this may have worked. Butterfield MOM in my opinion.

As Adkins has been trying to tell us, "We've got bodies in the building". Obviously a scared and deperate man.

Give me a break love. Didn't we have one of those a few years back? Louise? You'll find redknapp hanging out the back of it. I'd smash it. I've got something she could tuck in..... Oh, it's a dude.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9373280.stm Poor Peter doen't understand. Why was the joke not laughed at and his mate sacked, and why was she out of the kitchen in the first place? It must be about phone tapping.

Wow, I see what you did there. While i took your actual words point for point, you selectively quoted me, missing out important qualifiers, and adding hysterical reactions afterwards, inferring opinions, which btw, I don't actually hold. (btw, i especially liked the bit where you try and make out I'm claiming MLT is not a saints fan; Very spaceage of you). My First ever saints game was a 2-1 defeat to nottingham forest, Jean claude darchville and steve stone for them I think, But it didn't matter, my support was resevered for a saints penalty in the dying minutes. The scorer? Matthew Le Tissier. Though obviously you know everything about my opinion of the man, seeing as you present me as having a borderline hatred of him (though it should be noted, not as half as impressive as your hate for the "the ratfaced foreigner". You do realise that in the part you've quoted me, I say "The chairman" and not "Our Chairman"? Wierd point to make. Although he is our chairman you know. He came in when he nearly folded not so long long ago, you may have heard about it? Oh and Matt get his finger out? The criticism is that he nearly cost the club it's exsistance by championing a hopeless bid. Without Cortese and co, we wouldn't have a team to anable dreams of Higher division football, so maybe you can stop your sad little vendetta, come back down to planet earth, and enjoy the road ahead. I don't think anyone will make you write a valentines to cortese.
