  1. Agree with this and CB's statement. It would be ideal to tie RH down to a longer term contract - he has turned it completely around, seems committed and has got some very average players playing well above their level. Would be interesting to see what he can do with the right backing and a long term plan in place.
  2. Actually, fair play to the Leicester fans on their forum. Very gracious in their praise of is and are not claiming they were rubbish. Pretty much all of them saying we were by far away the better team and if we did not win it would have been an injustice. Nice to see.
  3. BBC website is wrong. How on earth that could be determined to be offside even with technology is incredible. This is where VAR has to improve and marginals have to go to the attacking side. Ridiculous.
  4. Absolutely magnificent - all of them. Deserved win and on another day we would have had 5 or 6. Stephens continues to be a revelation - his pass in the 2nd half Beckenbauer/MLT would have been proud of. Great assist from Adams for the winner. Totally entertaining game - no longer feel nervous defending a lead with a few minutes left. What has happened to this team - as bad as we were for most of the season we are absolutely magnificent now and playing top 4 football and lovely to watch. Long may it continue!

  6. Probably best 1st half for Saints this season. Absolutely superb all over the pitch and running rings around Leicester. 4-1 up would not be unfair - Ings desperately unlucky twice in 60 seconds. Stephens is currently playing like VVD in his pomp for us. Cool, calm, collected and excellent on the ball (that will put the jinx on him for sure!). Keep it up Saints - where was this team for much of the first half of the season? Totally transformed.
  7. It really was awful......HUddersfield were absolutely abysmal but don't let that fool you into thinking we were good. We were not. And it was 7 senior players who played awfully not youngsters which shows we have no strength in depth. Vestegaard should just go and Yoshi is done unfortunately.
  8. He is right though. Only Smallbone, JWP, Vokins (and Gunn who had nothing really to do) played OK. Vestegaard, Yoshi, Danso, Romeu, Boufal, Adams, Long were all absolutely terrible.
  9. Comfortable win......but an awful display and some of those players should be nowhere near the first team. And I don;t mean the youngsters who acquitted themselves very well.
  10. What a goal....take a bow Vokins!
  11. Yoshida and Vestegaard playing us into real trouble. Good grief we need some quality replacements in this window. Adams, Long, Yoshida, Vestegaard, Danso, Romeu all absolutely dire.
  12. codswallop....outside of JWP been our most creative player
  13. Very poor first half. Vestergaard showing why he is nowhere near the first team - nearly costing us a goal near half time. Danso, Adams, Romeu all looking terrible. Smallbone looks like he has something about him: JWP been MotM by a country mile. BOufal flattered to deceive. NOt many of these players will be troubling the first team any time soon............
  14. Look at the VAR shots - impossible to call that offside. Utterly ridiculous.
  15. Shows the ridiculousness of VAR - how on earth could that realistically be called offside?
  16. Answer - very, very poor!
  17. Good movement and skill from Smallbone until the shot! You watch Adams movement (or lack of it). Just now he was on his heels when if he had anticipated he could have been in. Maybe a loan for him is the best thing to rebuild his confidence - right now he looks terrible.
  18. He is out of his depth - against a poor Championship team. He should have buried that chance after great work by JWP but instead took a stutter step. The play at the moment is reminiscent of how we were playing a few weeks back. Slow, ponderous and with no threat.
  19. Lets hope our recruitment moving forward is better than last summer. Danso and Adams a complete waste of time and have added nothing to the squad at all.
  20. This game showing the weakness of our squad TBH. Danso, Adams, Long, Romeu all very, very poor.

    Che Adams

Who (danso) does not even make the squad!
  22. Being back in the UK for this election has been fascinating. The parallels with the USA's last election are scarily similar. Chattering classes in the 'bubble' (London/DC) being essentially condescending to the wider public by indicating only they know best, disaffected voters in working class areas with little to no hope voting for change. Add in the media luvvies ramming their high minded opinions down peoples throats while living it up with their massive salaries and the snowflakes on social media believing social media is the be all and end all (hint: people gravitate to like minded people so these little bubbles are nothing more than that). As in the US the silent majority took their revenge at the polls. And whether you like him or loathe him Cummings ran a fantastic campaign (albeit against 2 of the biggest losers imaginable). Democracy wins.
  23. Your blind hatred of Forster is beyond comical. He has done superbly up there - sometimes a change in scenery is required. All our GKs are poor - there has to be a link between the coaching and their capabilities.
  24. Why? Because he let the ball bounce when he could have attacked it. The guy is simply shocking and should never be pulling on the Saints shirt.
  25. Bertrand was as much at fault for the 1st goal. His positioning was terrible (as it was most of the game) - his mistake should have led to a 2nd goal as well but for a brilliant save from McCarthy. Stephens is not perfect but I think he is the best of our CBs despite the mistakes. All our CBs make mistakes every game - but Stephens is always there putting his body on the line and his heading has improved enormously. It staggers me how so many awful players (Cedric, PEH, Bertrand spring to mind) are given a free pass for some bizarre reason yet players who give 110% every game (JWP, Stephens) get slagged off at every opportunity.
