Utter rubbish, not for the first time. JWP played well today and really put himself about. AFter redmond, he was our best player. In case you hadn't noticed this was Slattery's first game and he certainly did not do a bad job.

Bad, bad display with very few bright spots. Really highlights how our squad has been filled with dross the last 3 years: Moi - terrible, terrible buy. Ali Dia offered more Long - is not a footballer Austin - long past it Vestergaard - looks OK at times and like Bambi on ice at other times Hoedt - terrible buy Today only JWP and Redmond played well. Slattery was OK without doing too much, but rest were terrible. Cedric, Targett, Stephens, Long, Austin, Moi, Vestergaard all very, very poor. We really don;t have much quality in this squad. We need a CB and a striker this window, whatever else happens. They missed Yoshi and Bednarek today

Wow...that was a terrible miss at the end from Derby. Both Cedric and Vestergaard with terrible defending.

Shane Long: another I hope never to see in a Saints short again. Absolute disgrace

Despite 2-0 up I don;t think you could say we were playing well, JWP and Redmond apart. Slattery was OK, front 2 are a disgrace, Moi is abysmal, full backs poor and Vestergaard a mistake waiting to happen

Bloody hell - Vestergaard is an absolute donkey. Passes like hes wearing a blindfold. Only way Derby score is through a mistake - and we've had plenty of those

No contest - rather have MLT of today over him. Would be a bloody great upgrade on the useless lump

My god, Moi is utter, utter crap. No pressure on him and his cross goes right out of play. One that should have no long term future at Saints

PLease take Moi off at HT ...... twice now he has given the ball away really badly and let Derby counter. He is utter crap....guess the black box was corrupted when he came up as a good signing

Saints started really brightly but have gone off the boil last 20 minutes. Elyounoussi is utterly abysmal and plenty of other mistakes from the team. Brightest spot so far is Slattery.

Very good....walked into that one. Bit like Elyounoussi who would be better off playing walking football

I like Ralph's style. 8 Academy graduates on the bench or starting. I love this approach and you can see how much of a lift his arrival has given the younger players as they now know there is an opportunity for them

All the pundits and ex=players can't be right. Our forum experts have stated their views and must be right. Valery is nowhere near ready according to them. Ralph must start taking more notice of our forum experts rather than using his judgement. Cedric is world class and is a European winner so it's outrageous a 19 year old youth prospect is preferred over him.

Shane Long has been stealing a living as a footballer for way too many years. He is utter crap - great, he runs around a lot and makes a nuisance of himself but he has zero goal threat and he is meant to be a striker. Obafemi is already a far better player than Long and that is why Obafemi is a big miss. Him and INgs are our best strikers

Why on earth slag off Targett? He was excellent today: a lot of these players have not had game time in some time thanks to that p***k of a dinosaur Hughes and will only improve with more game time. We are still not a good team but Ralph will have us comfortable mid-table of that I have no doubts. What a change to actually look forward to matches and be entertained. By lord, well overdue for the long suffering fans. Loving the passion from Ralph and how we managed to get him as manager is way beyond me. He is too good for Saints

Woeful today. Vestergaard is a disgrace - switched off so many times it was untrue. Lemina and Romeu OK, Hojberg was garbage and can't pass for toffee. Will get shouted down but thought we looked much better with Stephens and JWp on the pitch. They showed they cared and JWP created more in his cameo than Hojberg or Armstrong did the whole game. We need players who will stand up and be counted: they may not be world beaters but JWP, Stephens and some of the younger players will stand up. Utterly dreadful and no idea how Ralph will keep this shower of s**e up.

Err.....we'll be cut adrift by January. This squad is just not good enough and don't see any way out of this mess. Rebuild next year in the CHampionship - we are not staying up.

What passing - that goal was all started from a terrible piece of play from Armstrong. Bring back Reed, play the younger players. This has been yet another terrible performance with no redeeming features except from Lemina, Romeu, McCarthy, Bednarek and Stephens. Rest have been awful - absolutely awful: can't pass, can't tackle, can't defend. New man has his work cut out
