  1. No such thing as a cheap Renault, Focus's are ok as are Golf's.
  2. I know that now but try getting any information out of the hire car people at 9.30pm on Christmas Eve with a queue behind you, as it was i got to the last manned toll tunnel and had a massive nosebleed whilst in the queue with nothing around to clear it up with, cue blood smeared arms and hands and slightly worried looking cashier!
  3. It's about 10-12 hours by car, i flew into Sydney on Christmas Eve, landed at 9pm picked up my hire car and was on the road by 10pm. I stopped about 5 times for food, naps and toilet breaks and was at my friends just outside Brisbane by 11am Christmas Day. The Australian police are anal about speeding and will use any means necessary to catch you, luckily they seemed to resting over the Christmas Eve/Christmas Day time i was driving. There are plenty of rest stops with toilets and most drive-thru's and motorway services stay open on Christmas Day. Car hire can be cheap if pre-booked and fuel is alot less than in the UK. Be aware that there are unmanned tolls in Sydney and the main bridge into Brisbane and you'll need to register by phone and pay, the car hire companies will charge you a premium on your card if you forget. I bought a SatNav chip off eBay here for less than £20 it only went wrong once and it was obvious so no problem. The journey is doable in a day but taking 2 or 3 would make it easier and more enjoyable.
  4. Modern day Le Tissier? I'm sure Osvaldo will come good, it does take time for some players to adapt to the PL, i can think of Giroud of the top of my head.
  5. Cheers, i quite like this, probably sound better at 3am after a few beers or something medicinal.
  6. The Sanderson and St.Martins Lane hotels are both very good and quite central.
  7. For those expecting instant results, Giroud was **** at the Arsenal last season, this season not so much.
  8. Think of the number of 18 year old prodigy's that have come to nothing over the years, if anyone was stupid enough to offer £30M then we would be just as stupid not to take it.
  9. Looks bad, 3 crew on board probably dead plus i would imagine people in the pub. RIP Police Helicopter Crash
  10. Legs are always moving and stay warm.
  11. There are free (for a small donation) lock-ups run by various charities on site, they're excellent, when i used to go as a punter/mong/track-blocker they were a godsend. I only started using them after all my clothes were stolen on the Thursday of my second ever festival, i smelt quite ripe by the Monday
  12. Oh dear.
  13. Making his team mates look like world beaters by comparison.
  14. Henderson is now a decent player but he plays in a different style to Lallana so it's hard to compare.
  15. Is that for panel beating and/or replacement and the respray? If yes then that sounds quite reasonable.
  16. If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve, then nothing is cool,
  17. Probably a hoax, but for those interested amongst you. Andy Kaufman faked his own death?
  18. Does it matter in the whole scheme of things?
  19. Intimidating for opposition players, remember Roy Keane being taken off once after the crowd got on his back.
  20. He looks to be a lot leaner, great goal.
  21. Is Winston from Essex or Liverpool? He looks like he's been tangoed.
  22. It's all about the clobber innit. Stone Island is just boss man.
  23. I know, it's a little frustrating but at least it shows he's getting noticed by those at the top of the game.
  24. Who are the five stand-out players in the Premier League for you this season? Well, I have to name a player at my former club. Luis Suarez. Everybody knows how he has a hunger for football and it has been very impressive to see the way that he is showing so soon – immediately - after coming back what a dangerous player he is. You will have to believe me when I say that it is not my connection with for Liverpool which makes me name Daniel Sturridge, too: a different sort of player but one who has confidence that comes with starting games. We have said several times already this season that strikers work off confidence and need to feel that they are an important part of the manager’s plans. These two have created the most dangerous striking partnership in the Premier League so far this season. Another striker who has had less attention but one who I have been impressed when I have seen him is Alvaro Negredo, the Spanish player at Manchester City. He has a very good left foot. I must name Wayne Rooney, of course. It is a few months since we talked about Southampton as the dark horses and I must talk about Adam Lallana, their captain, working together well with Rickie Lambert.
