  1. I've travelled fairly often and have never heard of security staff letting you keep change in your pockets when going through the metal detectors, it seems that you've had a bad experience which must be galling for you but i've always thought the staff at Southampton to be very helpful. One thing i have noticed on my travels is the number of passengers second-guessing and demeaning the security staff and wondering why they get a negative response, not saying this was true in your case but your statement with regard to their intellectual capacity tends to lead me down that path. The security staff are there to improve flight safety, not to bow and scrape to your every whim, how about going prepared and with an open mind in future?
  2. Dune goes fishing, and everyone bites. Leave the idiot and his attention seeking ways alone and he'll soon disappear.
  3. Hmm, Dune's BBQ's look like a right good laugh!
  4. Lot's of potential but big-head attitude seems to get in the way. Not a bad signing by any means.
  5. What he said, get over youselves you deluded fools; It's getting embarrassing.
  6. A crack is a definite MOT failure regardless of where it is.
  7. Unless you like the taste of diesel i'd forget about it, you won't get rid of the taste for at least a week. Most cars are also fitted with devices to stop siphoning anyway.
  8. Got to be number 1 for a good night out, Jools Holland is great and will get any audience dancing and Mica and Alison have fantastic voices. Easy choice!
  9. I have no problem with people getting degrees and then finding they can't find employment, it does not mean you sit on your arse waiting for the right job to come along, you find whatever earns some money and continue to apply for the job you really want. If i was an employer i would take somebody willing to graft over soembody prepared to wait for the 'correct' job to come up.
  10. It smacks of SKY wanting them both out to be replaced by younger/cheaper presenters, they were dinosaurs but its a shame the over-reaction that's been made, don't see the population rising up against the Boots TV advert!
  11. First time i've heard anyone being complementary about the King's Head's food! I may be wrong but it's just standard pub fayre as far as any of the locals know! You need to goto more pubs if you think they're decent, i'd recommend the Hampshire Bowman inbetween Droxford and Bishop's Waltham as serving decent but value for money food or the Rising Sun in Swanmore which has twice been Pub of the Year in national competitions. I suppose its all about expectations when rating a pub, but the King's Head is just another Pub Chain boozer. The King's Head - A Pub Topia review
  12. I think that there are a few too many egos involved, Lawrie is right that he should be given the respect his time at the club has earned, but by the same token he needs to try and smooth things along rather than going to the press every five minutes. They all need there heads banging together, Cortese, Le Tissier and McMenemy.
  13. Wickham is good for food, you've got The Roebuck just down the A32 towards Droxford which does good grub along with cabaret evenings if that's your cup of tea, the curry house in the old shoe shop is called Veranda and is excellent, then The Old House Hotel next door has a great restaurant, Kuti's just off the square is very good, then you've got a Thai place Koh Thai up the road along the A32 towards Fareham which is meant to be good. Then nearby you've got Atul Kochhar's restaurant Vatika at Wickham vineyard just past Meon Valley Country Club which is fantastic but pricey, also the The Bakers Arms in Droxford which is the current HAmpshire Dining Pub of the year It's a 50/50 mix of Saints and Pimpey around there, but i've never had any bother.
  14. About bloody time, someone at No.10 coming to their senses.
  15. Fabrice Fernandes Richard Hall Paul Williams Kevin Davies Jo 'The Wolfboy' Tessem
  16. Do your own HPI check and as somebody has mentioned it only says 'service history' which could mean anything from the full whack main dealer history to just having an oil change, apart from that it looks alright at a distance.
  17. Can i be first in the queue for whatever Charlie Wayman is on? He's clearly on another planet! Selling club, every club is a selling club. I can't think of any club outside of the top 6 in the Premier League that would turn down £10M for a youngster.
  18. It actually does, if you prefer use whatever used oil your favourite takeaway uses. If you like curry, used curry house oil smells of surprisingly, curry!
  19. It's too difficult to explain so have a look on the forum i mentioned in my earlier post.
  20. That's what i thought but it's not them apparently.
  21. I'd go with the Skoda, have a look around and see if there are any forum's for them, a 307 is a good alternative.
  22. It can be bloody expensive, we had some friends from Brasil doing a small european tour and they found Paris more expensive than Dublin or London, it is a great city but you do have to hunt around for non-touristy bits.
  23. I'd already checked out Wikipedia and i don't know what that Shadow Thieves reference is on about.
  24. OK music lovers, a fellow poster on another forum has posted this, can anyone help? In my collection of mp3's I have one track that I can't for the life of me remember where I got it, although I must have had it for at least 6 years, and I have absolutely no idea who's performing it. I've had a few knowledgeable friends listen over the years and they have no idea either... so... It's an up-tempo version of Dreams (Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac). It's a female duet and the opening singer sounds a little like Heather Small (M People). The other singer sounds a little like Stevie Nicks but with a Toya Wilcox lisp (or should that be lithp) I am 99.9% certain it's not one of the many Deep Dish versions. Any ideas anyone? Oh, Shazam doesn't recognise it - Unidentified track
  25. What type of car do you want? Hatchback, Saloon, Estate etc. also anything it must or must not have? Remember some cars with low emissions only pay £35 a year in road tax. From personal knowledge i'd steer clear of Citroen, Renault and Peugeot saloons which seem to suffer alot of electrical issues whilst the hatchbacks from the same manufacturer are great, its a little odd. Personally i think your best bet are either a Peugeot 307, Citroen C3 or a Skoda Fabia.
