  1. So we lose against a decent Norwich side at home, a game that if it was us as Norwich fans we'd be expecting to win this one, and people say that osvaldo clearly isn't good enough. We over paid for Wanyama and we should sack our manager. And then people wonder why many think this place is fu.cking clueless when it comes to football. Stick to your computer games and spreadsheets people you're clearly a bunch of retards
  2. Are people seriously writing off Osvaldo already!? Jesus christ this place is full of retards. He's only played 90 minutes...
  3. It's a decent little pub, and the landlord/lady are great folks. Mind you as you say unless the weather is good and you can spill out onto the street it's so small it gets packed in about two seconds flat.
  4. I noticed the Alex has got Doombar in there now, a top fu.cking pint that is
  5. He can't have been awful, he had pace. The fact that he ran into corners, couldn't cross, couldn't pick out the first man and couldn't beat his marker didn't make him awful. Cause he had PACE! And as everyone on here knows pace is the only thing that makes a good footballer. It's either that or if a footballer isn't "lightweight". That's what make De Ridder better than Gaston and Wooton better than Morgan. God some people really need to learn the rules of the mong board don't they?
  6. Must be f.ucking eating them up inside to comment on that. Almost as bad for them as Rickie getting the winner against scotland for england.
  7. Yeah but most of us would prefer an away day so you can have a pi/ss up with your mates and watch saints with a good chance of winning. Of course the mates part probably explains why you wouldn't want that. That's a real shame, was my favourite away day of the lower leagues and the terrace was superb with us in full voice. Be a real loss to english football to see it go.
  8. Spoken like a man with no sense of fun. Peterborough away is best of both worlds. A game we should win, a fu.cking great away day and a proper terrace.
  9. He's still a fascist cu.nt, whatever nice things he says about us.

    Away Tickets.

Seems pretty fair to me, the only two complaints i'd have is that all the aways i did in the lower league weren't taken into account so we effectively "started again" in the premier league. Which doesn't really show the dedication some of us made in the championship/league one. My other complaint would be that i don't think season tickets should hold as much weight, it should be about the number of away games you've done first then season tickets plus away games, then season tickets, then general sale.
  11. You joke but some mong of a woman in the Northam actually slagged him off on his first touch!
  12. Not to get too hyperbolic but I think we might have the best collection of youngsters since THAT united team. Shaw, jwp, clyne and possibly chambers all look something special to me. The trick is can we actually keep hold of them.
  13. At the price it would cost for a premier league team with a booking engine, in the millions, I'd be surprised if it happened anytime soon.
  14. One of my footballing Herod in my youth and often forgotten for some reason. He was a cracking player, a goal scorer and creative but could put in one hell of a tackle when needed too
  15. It really isn't, as much as i love southampton because it's where i was born London has music, culture, food, nightlife, sports, parks and a hell of a lot more that very few places in the world can compete with. The problem is that if you don't live there you tend to end up in the west end which is about as exciting as west quay on friday night.
  16. Am i imagining things or are all the tickets either restricted view or severely restricted view?
  17. I'd be really disappointed if it wasn't sold out. It's our first game of the season at home off the back of a win, Rickies first game at st mary's after his england call up, we've just signed the italian number nine and looking the strongest we have in years.
  18. Personally i think Newcastle are going to have a very, very tough season. They've not really improved in terms of players in. Look like losing Cabaye and have a lunatic as a DOF. There's always one "too good/too big" to go down team there abouts each season and Newcastle strike me as having all of the signs of being that team.
  19. So that makes quotas ok then? Fans acting like dicks or not it seems a worrying trend that quotas should be put in place as it encourages arrests for statistics sake rather than for actually doing anything wrong.
  20. Hardly a surprise really that the police aren't exactly ethical in their actions, doubt we'll see any action from the powers that be about this since as football fans we're obviously scum. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/police-paid-to-seek-football-banning-orders-8772746.html
  21. I tell you what Sir Rickie is already a hero, that goal made him a legend, but if he did aa steve moran too... **** it he could have my first born!
  22. Thought this season would be the season i couldn't afford it anymore (and i've had one since the late 80s) but can still "just" do it. Imagine next season it'll break the £680 mark at which point i'll be done. As for aways mine have dropped off significantly, since i refuse to pay over £40 for a ticket to a game of football
  23. Actually i'm going to be greedy and have one more, Liverpool 4-1 at the Dell under Nicholl (89 if memory serves). Probably the best team performance i've ever seen from saints. We'd have destroyed anyone that day, and to do it to the current div one champions was a beast of a win.
  24. Wembley 76 (wasn't old enough), Moran at Fratton (was born but too young to go away to Fratton), Dellhurst, Matty's last goal at the dell and a weird one but Lambert's pen against Millwall away to win the game (that day is one of my favourite away days).

    Bompey

Very reasonable comment, it's always seemed to me that both saints and bournemouth like each other. And there's never been anything close to animosity in my lifetime. That is till last time we played. Personally i think the new "hatred" from the cherries comes down to clubs feeling like they need to have a rival these days. I'll never forget working in bournemouth just before a play off game, i saw a cherries fan in his top and wished him good luck for the game. He asked me who i support and i told him saints. Infront of his group of uni mates he proudly said "i bet that was hard for a scummer given how much we hate each other". I then pretty much humiliated him infront of his friends by accident, by saying that i didn't know a single saints fan that hated bournemouth, and in fact knew that when they were winning their scores would often be cheered at the Dell (though they've stopped local scores at St Mary's for some reason). And that really sums it up. Saints/Pompey is nasty, at times evil, and about much more than football. It's why those from outside the city will never really get it (and i include a lot of saints fans who aren't from southampton as to them it's pantomime). Saints bournemouth is a good day on the ****, at a club most people like and have donated money towards keeping alive.
