Maybe he's just really ****ed off about Tadanari Lee leaving and is making a stand
-
That's alright i had a fully grown woman in her 40s next to me in the northam against west brom who spent the whole game playing angry birds on her phone, she also sat down and tutted at people who swore. God alone knows why she was there!
-
the Makems seem fairly confident about this one and given their form i guess they're right to be. Personally for me i'm going with a draw. Though i can see either side shading it.
-
Sounds like the skates are living up to their Portsmyth moniker in the lower divisions too, this is from an Oxford fan
-
Yeah that is true, but i really dislike the idea that because you don't want to go by bus you're either a holli or wannabe dead hard. For me at least i enjoy the drink, the laugh and the freedom of going down by train. It adds to the day. Also i really don't like being told by the police were i'm allowed to go or not just because i want to watch a game of football. That's a police state if you ask me. Of course you should feel safe going to whichever game you want but it sounds to me like you're adding your own fear to the situation rather than the reality. The honest truth is you can get a kicking going to your local pub as much as going to a game of football and i'd hate to think people lived in fear, to the extent they'd give up their freedom of movement,

You do realise should we ever play the blue few again (something which in itself isn't massively likely) you can go down by club coach right? Also in the many, many times i've been down by train i've never been involved in trouble. What this does mean - i hope - is that people can choose their own transport to the game instead of being treated like criminals. And personally i love going down there by train since it's part of the day out.
-
Would imagine a few will try and get this in the away end to have the game on their account then use the neutral section as a fallback if they don't get the tickets.
-
Except that according to the police the majority arrested outside of St James Park during those disturbances didn't actually go to the game, the same thing that happened at the skates when they had their riot after playing us, so it doesn't actually make that much of a difference.
-
Bought fu,cking time someone challenged it properly. Bubble games are a disgrace as they basically treat all fans as criminals. Would love to see the back of them and for my money it ruined some of the fun of the last away game against the skates.
-
Maybe in terms of money, but in terms of size of support, history, etc. i'd say they're bigger than City and Chelsea and arguably on a par with Spurs & Arsenal. They're a huge club if we're honest and as much as i hate the fu.ckers i have a huge amount of respect for their support. Their away support is immense and really only bettered by United in my opinion. Also as Adrian says they're not plastic, you don't tend to see many joker hat, facepaint wearing dins in amongst them.
-
I was thinking similar, but would like a decent away day too. Maybe away to the winner of Kiddy/Peterborough.
-
Lee Todd is the single worst footballer i've ever seen play for southampton.
-
Whilst it would be funny to have two new stadiums before the skates even get one id bloody hate an out of town one. Regardless of the size debate (which seems pretty clear now that we're not ready to have yet), the central location of SMS is what makes it so great. I come from London having moved from work and love the fact I can walk to pub first then the ground, and after the game easy get beers in and catch up with mates who still live at home. Going to an out of town stadium would be souless and horrible. As has been shown by Brighton, reading, derby, Coventry etc.
-
After half a season and just when he's been starting to look like he's getting some form. Yup genius idea. Also i don't understand why people haven't mentioned this before but i'm sure he got a ban for the scuffle at Newcastle.
-
Would absolutely love this to happen and would make perfect sense in the Northam. Would be mighty ****ed though if there wasn't some kind of reduction in price, or at least a freeze, to go with it.
-
To be fair I think it's a pretty funny article. Reminds of the UI wind up pieces they used to do when they were still a fanzine No doubt one or two will get precious though. And Matt le scopey will try and bore them into submission.
-
Not sure how i feel about the chance of AVB being sacked. It could work against us either way, if he's gone then the players will be playing for their place, and maybe a new manager. If he isn't it'll be last chance for AVB and he'll have to win. Reckon we might actually get beaten in this one, but it'll be close. I'm going 1-2 spurs and a dirty niggly game.
-
Jay rod is turning into a cracking little player, nice finish there plus the football for the one two was superb.
-
Alongside a keeper we need another CB in jan', Jos just doesn't seem good enough to me.
-
Ha! Actually got it trimmed the week after mate! That's what not getting enough time off work does
-
Oh and this might not be saints related, more a comment on "new" fans but i fu.cking hate this type of fan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fvjk...e_gdata_player

The ones that really annoy me are, The people in the northam that EVERY game try and start the Chelsea song One man went to mow. For one it's a chelsea song, for two no one (except you) ever joins in, for three it's not funny so stop grinning like goons. Statos. They bore me to tears, miss the one of the main points of football - it's unpredictability - and generally should spend their time in front of computer instead of whinging at the ground. Grown men wearing undersized football shirts over their clothes. I mean why? Why show rolls of flab because you're going to a football game. Fancy dress. There is no need (same goes for any kind of "Zany" or "whacky" headgear). The fu.cking pork di.cks. People that leave early. People that don't respect our older fans who take time to get up the steps over the footbridge. Jesus they've been going for years and it really doesn't take much to let them get to the hand rails, that pint WILL wait. People at away games that sit but don't want to swap seat. I have nothing against you sitting but if someone is standing infront of you and offers to move so you can see why do you kick up a fuss. JCL's. I'm not going to wave my season ticket at you but the fact you've come back now we're in the prem really does annoy the fu.ck out of me. That was pretty damn cathartic to be fair.

Saints v Skates, F.A. Youth Cup Third Round, Match Thread FULL TIME 7-0!
ericb replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Isn't it more serious though? Since a banning order breach for a ground can normally lead to a court case? Hopefully the skate cu.nt will now be banned from all grounds for breaching it! -
Not testing you, that's an incredibly strange way of looking at it, just calling it as I did then. I thought we weren't good under souness. A view that wasn't massively popular at the time either. I for one was glad when he went as I felt he was pedestrian as a manager. Of course we had some good games under him but he just didn't do anything particularly special
-
Merrington loves the club and was incredibly for our youth set up, but lets not pretend he was a good manager, he wasn't. The football he played was dour and from a different age. Souness again had us playing terrible football, but effective to keep us up, and hardly signed well. There's a reason both didn't last and as much as you can go in for nostalgia they were crap. By way of comparison think of the quality we had under Nicholl, Hoddle (yup hoddle) and Strachan. We actually played attractive football, beat good sides consistently and looked a real team.
