  1. Very much agree with this, though i do hope we still question the ownership and what they're doing. The last thing i'd want is to bury our heads in the sand skates style
  2. Bury your head in the sand and don't listen to people, then shout about everyone being negative! Anyway this is what i said and i still have no reason to disbelieve it http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?43303-The-Project&p=1625363#post1625363 I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that i'm not so convinced that NC is in it for the long haul. I'm not doubting his ambition - though the CL stuff is clearly just PR - but i think his ambition is personal and what he's manufacturing is far more about his next job rather than this current one. Now that's not going to be a popular statement but it does follow the things i've heard personally, including some that have come straight from NC's mouth as well as others from people he's dealt with that he's had putting the feelers out for a new buyer. Anyway as with the last time i posted stuff like this i'm not going to reveal sources as it'll risk jobs, and people can take it or leave it as they feel. Oh and one last piece i'm also fairly sure that the Benali thing IS relevant, but ontop of that maybe people should look more into payment (or not) of bills from the club, including what NC himself has billed out (the clubs money being spent as his own).
  3. Really? It's not like i've been mentioning that this was in the works for about a year, of course people here didn't believe me and called me a trouble maker...
  4. Watford, Palace and Wigan. All three of them are weak and will go down. Also living in london these days means that Watford and Palace would be easy aways to make it too. Personally got a feeling that if Brighton come up they'll do ok, the set up there now is looking pretty good and with the extra cash from TV i could see them pushing on and doing ok.
  5. I'm really not sure why this is a big deal we've been safe for months all we've done is confirmed it mathematically.
  6. You sure he's not blind? for me it's the people behind me that sing chelsea songs every game (one man went to mow etc.) really strange bunch
  7. Few that stand out for me, Barnsley away in the premiership. Blagged a lift up but the people i was with weren't coming back down so had to beg a lift back off fellow saints fans. Also the game was 4-3 (i think) but we were safe and they were already down so was a weird as hell atmosphere for what should've been a cracking result. Bashley away pre season, got utterly hammered before we got there and more people were watching the kids playing football behind than the game itself. Also grabbing beers in the local butlins was a bit odd. Also remember an away day at ipswich when they were in the top flight which was strange not just because marsden turned into pele, but also because at half time the concourse was shared between home and away fans. Millwall away last season wasn't odd but was definitely good, ended up breaking a seat when we scored by accident which promoted the rows infront to start breaking theirs too.
  8. Looks like we're not the only ones who thought we were decent (taken from the spurs forum http://www.thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/threads/spurs-v-saints.5449/page-36) Of course i'm sure that can't be true as we're not the bestest are we

Thought he was very good yesterday, and him going off made a big difference. God knows why they didn't bother to try and tackle him when he moved forward but he definitely looked more comfortable with having so much space.
  10. Thought the atmosphere from us yesterday was absolutely superb, in fact i had a mate who's a yid and he texted me from the home end saying how good our fans were "one of the best sets to come to WHL", was all the way from liverpool st to the ground too. Only downside were a bunch of dicks trying to kick off after the game and one bizarre guy who decided to sing about UKIP for the whole match. Fu.ck knows what he was on but alongside that and his foreskin efforts he was a truly embarrassing gimp!
  11. Enjoyed this yesterday and thought it kept the atmosphere going were we might've dropped off normally as it lends itself to being carried on for a while.
  12. Was at the ZDS, my first ever game at Wembley, and watched that team come together from the early days. Really sad news and definitely think he deserves some sort of recognition at the Stoke game
  13. He's no Paul Wooton though is he? Or at least that's what the genius footballing knowledge of this place led me to believe
  14. We're going to get hammered unfortunately, but fortunately as fans we're going to get hammered so it should be a good day out. Plus White Hart Lane is one of my favourite london grounds (well except for the hairy fu.cking walk up the seven sisters)
  15. It's definitely a hell of a lot worse this season than it was the last few, but i think it's largely down to JCLs coming back. Not sure about the middle class bit either, me and most of my mates are from Bevois Valley/Swathling so i'd hardly count that as middle class. Anyway the atmosphere in the prem' is embarrassingly **** everywhere. Though i did think WBA were superb yesterday. Aside from them though i can only really think of QPR and for about 20mins Villa being any good. Even United and the Geordies who are normally class were absolute shi.t. Saying that pretty much every away fan i've chatted to has said that St Mary's has been the loudest ground they've been to this season. Which probably comes down to first season back up thing. If you think it's bad now btw give it two seasons and see what happens. Football atmospheres are a sad state of affairs now.
  16. That's the truest thing and why i never understood people who said that they don't care about them, or that it's "just another game". For anyone that's ever been to their dump, for anyone there at that, for anyone that has to deal with those cu.nts and their braggings and portsmyths it's a fu.ckload more than just another game
  17. The single worst day as a saints fan for me, from the fu.cked up train service, to the "queue" outside the away end, to missing their first goal and the look on the fat skate cu.nt in the green and white hooped tops face when we did get in. Then THAT fu.cking song. And the cafe full of their gloating inbred cu.nts on the long walk back to the station. Only highlight was the shirtless, toothless fat sailor getting coined back into his flat outside Fratton.
  18. I'm i the only one that'd prefer a smaller ground packed each with people that actually make noise, than a bigger ground with "floating/jcl" fans that sit in silence (albeit with their club merchandise)? One of my biggest hates in the prem is how poor the atmosphere is and this is massively down to JCLs/Plastics/part timers.
  19. The statue could have him with his knob out, projecting a fountain of water out and all the way over portsmouth
  20. Said it before and i'll say it again, i'd be very surprised if we have the same owners in the next two seasons. Far too much information around that links us with selling and direct quotes from Cortese saying he doesn't expect to be around too long.
  21. Villa for me, just because i still haven't been to Wigan and i've been to Villa more times than i like to remember.
  22. Wasn't saying they do to be fair, more a comment on the fact that the better "new build" grounds are the ones with steeper stands. Of all the new builds though my favourite has to be the Millennium. Cracking ground that, especially when compared to the soulless - and sh.it for acoustics - wembley
  23. I'd add upton park to that list too, grounds tight to the pitch that create real atmosphere. To be honest i'm one that's still disappointed that we didn't have a steeper ground. For all it's out in the middle of nowhere feel the Madjeski does have a steep bank to it that feels more like a proper ground.
  24. Searching content on a social media site
  25. Now that's a very good point - and i do think it's being overplayed to some extent - i can easily see people using things like this to oppose safe standing (even if it does actually show that it's not standing that causes violence!)
