What a game from Vestergaard. Awesome. Good Saints team performance too, apart from a few mistakes which could have cost us dear but thankfully Manchester’s second team couldn’t capitalise.
-
Great last ditch defensive tackle by Bednarek to put Locadia off scoring. Clean sheet for my Fantasy football team - thanks Jan!

Looks good to me but not sure about Cedric for Valery. Ings as super sub to get the winner against his old club? Dream on... Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Either will work if they communicate well and cover each other. Otherwise it’s chaos, like yesterday.

I hope we don’t miss Danny Rohl for the video analysis. It all feels dodgy now.

Are we human, or are we Danso

Interesting move by David Thomas, with an eye on the international market. India has a vast population.

According to Adam Blackmore, 9th to 14th is a realistic target.

Great watch, augurs well for the season ahead. Target 9th to 14th. Ralf’s favourite player is Kylian Mbappe. There will be more transfers both in and out. Youth investment is key to the future, with more successes like Yan Valery. Gao doesn’t speak much English but is very committed to the club. His daughter Nelly gave a brave speech.

Looks exciting going forward. Loads of pace and energy. But those kind of tackles in the Prem will get him sent off. Looks like a raw young talent with potential. We’ve seen that before, not always with good results. Over to you Ralph.

Sat in the pub listening to Oh when the Saints watching Poch, Alderweireld, Wanyana, Tadic playing to face Mane, van Dijk, Lovren and Lallana and the beer says Saints must be the spirit of football or something like that.

We should have brought our own lawn mower!

At least JWP did to Almiron what someone should have done to Salah. Same result in the end, though. Gunn should never have had to make that brilliant save. Romeu was unlucky to get a yellow card for the player who pulled his ham string. Good pressure second half but not enough to make up for the outmuscled first half. Similar game to last season’s.

Well done to him!

Saints 1 Cardiff City 2 post match dissection
redder freak replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Saints
If we had a defender on the post he could have stopped that shot. Similar to another goal recently when their player hit one from the edge of the area through a sea of legs into the corner of the net. Cardiff looked more organised defensively, with their bus in the way. I found it frustrating that our players didn’t shoot more. Too scared of giving the ball away or hoping to pass the ball into the net, I suppose. -
If it was a penalty offence shouldn’t the ref have given Ward-Prowse a yellow card?

Burnley 1 Saints 1 - Match & Reactions Thread
redder freak replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Burnley and Saints are ****. Saints fans are ****. -
Nice of Pep to provide free coaching advice to opposition players. He must be confident of the quality of his team and of winning the league to do that. I would have thought that City would be expecting him to concentrate on giving suitable feedback to his own players. They nearly failed to win against a relatively poor side! Surely it should be his own players that need a kick up the backside, rather than Saints.

A pull on Tadic's leg. Clear penalty on the replay. Unfortunately the match officials don't have the benefit of that. It must be difficult for a player to decide in a split second whether to stagger off-balance and pretend it didn't happen or go with the pull, fall to the ground and claim a penalty.

IMO we missed Yoshida yesterday. He brings maturity and energy and scores goals. He won the winning penalty at West Ham. Good luck to him at the World Cup next year.

Saints 0 Watford 2 - Match & Meltdown

I think it's our fault. Getting the manager sacked. Dissing the players. Karma! -
Don't think we'll drop Davis. And Ward-Prowse is better on the wing putting in crosses.
-
Hopefully Liverpool and everyone else will want to buy him by Christmas.
-
Too late to replace him this summer. Maybe next year.

Swansea reject Everton's 40m bid for Sigurdsson. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40590000 Better dig a bit deeper in your pockets guys.
