  1. Not negative enough to be authentic, need to go deep into how certain problems have been apparent for the last 2 years, and this result will be the one that sends us spiralling down into the conference.
  2. I've stuck the entirety of my betting account funds on a Man City win, not so much because we are without Boruc, Wanyama, Clyne and possibly others but because they are without our biggest weapon Gareth Barry. Make me cry and curse you Saints!
  3. Davis, he that was unfancied by Atkins who couldn't decide on Gazzanaga or Boric, didn't really matter when they were stuck behind Fochs, Hoyveld, Fontay and Klein.
  4. The Newcastle game last year, can remember one save from that match, and according to the match stats Newcastle had 3 shots on goal yet scored none, I guess the other 2 were blocked by Hooiveld. A statistic that was often bandied about by the media before our recent losses was that, of all the premiership teams, we had allowed the fewest shots on goal, has that aided people's impression of how good Boruc is? Or was it a result of his magical confidence exuding into the defence in front of him, if so I think that pretty much evaporated after the Stoke bounce and Emirates dribble. As for Davies, he gets beat on his near post frequently and won't come for crosses. Anyone contemplating his return to the first team should have rewatch of our mauling last year at Arsenal.
  5. Strengths: Doesn't attempt Cruyff turns when being closed down by an attacker, has good distribution and everything CanadaSaint said. Weaknesses: Inexperienced and indecisive, needs to be a little more aggressive in the box. Still think he is going to turn into a good keeper, but needs to be playing games, if not for us then out on loan, needs to be learning in matches not training.
  6. 11 days ago we could have gone top with a fluke win at Arsenal, look at the gap now. Things have changed quickly, played decently enough and could have won but for a wonder goal. Squad looking thin for a top 6 side, but then we aren't a top 6 side but we are heading that way.
  7. Get in! A goal from one of our 'mercenaries'!

  9. Yeah, all right, he's two bob. It went right under his body, he was too slow, he didn't extend his right arm out of it's socket and Kelvin would have simply cut out the cross. Planks.
  10. Nope. Lot of idiots on this board. I said Ramirez was not all that when many were singing his praises after 'that' Villa game, I'll be proved right about Gazzaniga too.
  11. Gazzaniga, decent keeper and we'll get good distribution too. Glad to see him back in goal.
  12. Boruc started off shockingly for us, he got fit and improved but his kicking has always been awful, now he's dropping the kind of clangers that most on here seem to believe Gazzaniga was making and should have been sent back to the lower leagues for.
  13. I thought we'd never be get to sing 'We're top of the league' again after promotion from the Championship, make it happen this Saturday Saints. Lambert 1-0 or preferably 4-1 Lambert 2, Lallana, Ward-prowse
  14. yeah, but now they've discovered they can cover themselves (re. Lallana) with a simple 'at the time my comments were justified'
  15. I'm from Uxbridge way, and a lot of Wembley visitors seem to stop off there. Uxbridge is just off the M25 via the M40 or M4, there are plenty of multi storey car parks in the town centre and the Met line will take you to Wembley in about 35 minutes. Saves driving through west London especially as the a40 is rammed in the evenings.
  16. I'll just add an immense game from Wanyama destroying their midfield would not be surprising, I think he'll be right up for it.
  17. A rare win at Arsenal would be very pleasant, looking forward to it because we now have a team that can give them a bloody good game. Our pressing against their quick passing is going to be very interesting.
  18. Adam ****ing Lallana! Better than Wil****e
  19. Look at those stats http://www.theguardian.com/football/match/2013/oct/19/manchester-united-v-southampton proud to be a saints fan said not so long ago that Lallana is better than Wilshere, still believe it.
  20. Serves you right for giving your money to the same people that hacked a dead girl's voicemail.
  21. No, but convincingly see off Swansea and get something at Man Utd and I may have to think again. At the moment 6th-10th.
  22. A poor effort from the man who brought us 'rest Lallana and Lambert so they are fit for the play-offs'* when we were in 2nd place in Division 1 *pretty sure it was Lambert, I'd wade through his posts from the end of that season to find it, but I'm in a happy place at the moment.
