  1. You could but it’s never going to be too accurate, you have to take into account all the corporate boxes, the lounges, comps for staff/players/guestsetc, that’s all a bit of an unknown quantity. Coukd probably make a best guess though I suppose.
  2. Get this lad on a banner and everybody’s happy. Maybe the iconic “Saints is the south” text underneath.
  3. Not sure why the club don’t release actual ST sales numbers. They used to back in the earlier days of St Mary’s. I seem to recall 23K being a high and Rupert Lowe MP stating he wanted to see 25k over multiple seasons before he consider stadium expansion.
  4. Think they all look pretty shit tbh.
  5. No surprise to see the genuine simpletons’ reaction to the news about Timpson. I guess when you only deal in three word slogans it’s easy to fling shit about without really understanding the underlying issues.
  6. I said yesterday, I think a form of PR would be fairer than FPTP but I don’t believe there’s actually much appetite for it overall in the UK. The AV vote was extremely badly handled; that said, I think AV is actually a slightly worse system than FPTP and it was comprehensively rejected. People in the UK seem to feel comfortable with a FPTP system that delivers a local MP. It’s a system we’ve had for a very long time and it seems many people in the UK don’t even know how other countries vote, let alone much care. The two major parties absolutely don’t want it either. Not sure if the Lib Dems much will either after the latest result. If we were to have a form of PR, ideally I’d want a system such that overall nationally you vote for a party, all those votes are tallied up and party control is allocated according to those percentages and MPs are assigned accordingly. But there’s all sorts of complications that throws up. You’d have to treat England, Scotland , Wales and NI separately so that there’s a fair accounting of the likes of PC, SNP, DUP etc who can only run in their own (smaller population) countries. Then you have the issue of how a local MP is assigned to a local area, who ends up going where? Currently there are a huge number of people who vote because of their local MP themself and not the national party. It also seems to kill the notion of a local independent MP running on local issues, diluting their vote share nationally would cripple them. All factors that are not insurmountable, but I think you need a groundswell of feeling of change to enact it and I simply don’t see that we have that.
  7. This is very good.
  8. Well done agent Sunak. Cracking work son. https://order-order.com/2024/07/05/sunak-posts-jubilant-scenes-after-obliterating-tory-party/
  9. I wonder who they’ll get to replace Esther McVey as Common Sense Minister. Some big old shoes to fill there and no mistake.
  10. Meh. I’ve not seen much of him but I went up to craven cottage last season for a game, the Fulham lot around me weren’t very happy with him. He got hooked in the second half after doing not very much.
  11. Big Ange in as deputy and Levelling Up secretary. Rachel Reeves as chancellor. Both pretty predictable. Expecting Yvette Cooper as HS and David Lammy as FS to complete the big 4.
  12. And have those foreigners coming over here and taking our jobs? What a conundrum.
  13. Like where on the continent? I’ve seen Spanish healthcare up close and it’s absolutely brilliant compared to here, completely night and day, and free at the point of use.
  14. What a pair of cunts 👍
  15. I’m sure he will Jamie. The country is fucked, what’s first on the list? Foreign secretary!
  16. Old sour face Kuntberg isn’t taking it very well.
  17. Duckie will be pleased with that 👍
  18. I don’t think a majority want it. That’s my feeling anyway. The alternate vote was an absolutely shambles that the LDs messed up but the overwhelming verdict was for FPTP. I think a form of PR would be fairer but it’s moot, I don’t think it would get anywhere, IMO the country is too entrenched with FPTP. Plus Labour and the Conservatives definitely don’t want it. A defence of “if you’re so shit you get voted out” is pretty limited to me, I’d rather a government didn’t get the point of vastly underperforming and had cross party checks and balances every day so we don’t get to a point where we are, a party eventually evicted for being utterly shit for years.
  19. I don’t know about being unpopular. But repeatedly banging the drum for FPTP while simultaneously admitting you haven’t got the slightest clue about PR (let alone how it could feasibly actually be better) doesn’t suggest you’re on top of your brief. Fair enough if you’re happy with it in your own mind, but “I’m happy with it because…….reasons” isn’t a brilliant sell.
  20. Just watched Daisy Cooper on BBC and sadly just echoes the whole joke of Ed Davey, the joke party. Wes Streeting on now, I think he’s a contender for the next Labour leader. Very good on telly, let’s see what’s he’s like at his new job.
  21. Da da da da Fuck the Tories. I wonder how many of the Reform candidates will be in their jobs within a year.
  22. 8 so far. If she’s anything like me she’s just warming up.
  23. Narrator: it wasn’t.
  24. That’s quite the kicking. Reform getting double figures is a sucker punch for the blues as they’ll feel they’ll need to head that off, but swerving right has been their undoing. What a clusterfuck for the blue cunts. Well done Rishi. Proud of you son.
