  1. Fuckity fuck off
  2. Skates losing by 2. Palace equaliser. Leicester smashing it against Spuds.
  3. Hattrick y'know.
  4. Tella hattrick
  5. I believe Lavia can play CB and JWP of course can fill in RB but yep bear bones in defence. Need to outscore them so more goals needed IMO.
  6. 45 minutes with this result and all of a sudden the table doesn't look so fucking awful. Baby steps.
  7. Please God let us win so I can watch MOTD tonight... I've almost forgotten what the theme tune sounds like...
  8. I bet Nate has a right stiffy currently...
  9. Who called the Lemina sending off....
  10. Boom shakalaka
  11. Tella again
  12. Well AMN has been quoted before as saying he doesn't like being considered as a wing back...
  13. Abigail Davies doing the Coventry updates on SSN looks like she went hard on the make up this morning... We winning? 😁
  14. Bednarek is not the answer. Maitland-Niles will never be the answer. Continuing to have faith that Bazunu will come good is not the answer. And where is Orsic, ABK and DCC? Lavia down is getting there so maybe we just have to outscore the opposition. Armstrong on the bench is a plus too.
  15. It's getting closer to a team most of us want to see. Still some question marks though but closer than we've seen so far. I still wouldn't put it past Jones to go with 3 CBs though.
  16. 51 points available - but ignore Liverpool on the last day for now so 48. Quarter it - We need 6 points from every 12 available to hit 39 going into the last day which should be enough for safety - in other words we need to acquire roughly half of our available points to get safety. 5 per 12 would have us on 35 points going into the last day which may or may not be enough. 4 from 12 means we hit only 31 with the last game available, which I don't think will be enough. It's doable but we need a huge upshift in form, the likes we haven't seen since we came back from the COVID break in 2020. In other words, we're probably buggered.
  17. I have a feeling Walcott will be our saviour this season. He'll keep us up after so long on the sidelines, alongside Janny B and Bree turning the defence into a rock, Diallo bossing midfield and Moi dictating play in....... ....ooh I just had a horrible dream I was Nathan Jones there...
  18. In recent seasons, Sheffield United have kept Berge, Watford have kept Sarr, Fulham have kept Mitrovic - just because a team is relegated doesn't mean they can't keep their better players. That said, it's first dependant on whether the player is willing to stay to help fight the team back up and also whether another club really wants the player that they are going to push hard to get him. We aren't seemingly in a bad place financially (especially if there's talk of relocating the training ground and the fact we just spunked £60 million in the window) so we won't need to sell too many players to balance the books. Quite simply as soon as relegation is confirmed, I'd weedle out those who want out, get rid, and rebuild. As Burnley have showed (albeit with an excellent manager) it shouldn't be too difficult to rebuild the team with what we have left. Mind you we're Saints and we're likely to make a hash of it somehow! It's too hard to say who would stay or go now IMO. I think we can safely say that McCarthy, Bree, Perraud, Larios, Diallo, Smallbone, Djenepo, Moi and AArmstrong will still be here, backed up by youngsters like Payne, Simeu, Finnigan, Dibling, Edwards and Ballard. Add a sprinkling of others that we may not sell (maybe Bazunu, Lyanco, DCC, Adams, Aribo, SArmstrong, Tella, Edozie, Orsic, Mara, Onuachu etc) and bar a few transfers in you probably have the squad. Definitely outs for me are JWP (unless he really wants to stay), KWP, Tino, Lavia, Sulemana and Alcaraz (I think the last two may shine over the last few games and get interest). If we only lose 6 jewels it could be worse...
  19. The crazy thing is that I wanted Ralph out as his time here was clearly spent with odd formations and ideas BUT conversely I would definitely say he would have got better results than Jones has so far. Sometimes it really is better the devil you know although, of course, none of us knew we'd be saddled with Jones when Ralph went.
  20. Exactly. Not hard is it. Even ABK could come in there and there wouldn't be much change in quality. If Jones is adamant at playing three at the back, then a 343 of Any GK ABK DCC Salisu KWP JWP Lavia Perraud Sulemana Big Paul Orsic Wouldn't be terrible. Ultimately though play the best personnel in their best positions. Wont happen though. Wolves for the win.
  21. He's definitely not the same player he was at the start of the season but then their team is stuttering. I'm still hugely surprised they sold Cancelo tbf especially without a replacement. Arsenal have a decent chance to win the League now especially as their loss this weekend didn't ultimately hurt them (from the City perspective) and they're still 5 clear with a game in hand. If Arsenal don't win the League from here it will be very Spursy, which may be the ultimate insult to them. Also fair play to Ten Haag who has done wonders with United. They have a chance too. I can't see anyone running away with it this year. It seems to be one of those Leagues where everyone can take points off everyone. Excluding Saints of course. 😜
  22. Results went against us this week, especially as we lost. We can't rely on anyone else to keep us up bar ourselves. Which will ultimately be our downfall. A couple of weeks ago I said if you offered me 38 points I'd take it with bells on. Now I'd take 35 and just cross my fingers. But I'd surprised if we even hit 30. What a shitty season this has been... and annoyingly had we stayed up this season I think we'd now be in very good shape for a Prem campaign next season. Sods law. Instead we'll be in the Championship without our crown jewels.
  23. I’d take Postman Pat if he could deliver success. Sadly we are probably now shopping in the “Dean Smith/Chris Wilder” managerial bracket.
  24. 3 if you include my 4 year old. 😎
  25. Knowing "his way" from his Luton days and him saying we're going back to it is exactly the reason we should be sacking him now. Going down playing long ball hoofball. It's all so embarrassing. But knowing that we will probably keep him, and knowing that he will resort to his way of long ball, 3 at the back hoofball, then yes, if he does keep us up I will absolutely eat a slice of humble pie. In fact I'd eat the whole pie and a side of peas. In fact if he keeps us up I'd get a tattoo of him on my butt. There I said it. And I don't even have any tattoos. Nathan Jones on my butt forever.
