  1. Especially when he gonna get shot in the back in the stands... ...what you mean my history is pants...?
  2. We need an appointment that would as close as possible unite the fan base and provide positivity for the new season. Koeman would have a few knockers but would most likely have majority support. It seems to me that Sherwood would completely divide the fan base based on people's opinions on here.

    Coffee

Me too! I inherited it from my tea drinking parents when my faithful Krups machine finally died. They barely ever used it. The Cuisunart is good, it makes good coffee and it's very quick, and the timer is a useful function for a shift worker like me because I can have it ready for when I get up at 3am. The grinder is noisy though, so I don't use it anymore. Just use filter coffee in it now.
  4. Easier fixtures at the start and the end of the season, more difficult fixtures mid season please. To that end, Burnley at home please.
  5. Please not Sherwood. I'm putting him on the Hughton and Mackay pile. He'd only have to open his mouth once or twice and would have players running for their agents. Let him cut his teeth properly at a lower level and see how he gets on. We need a "name", mainly because we'll be needing quite a few transfers in this summer, and also because if there's a slim chance we can show our current crop of players we mean business, that would be it. Koeman just seems to fit. As for Celtic, I'd be distinctly underwhelmed to have Deila as manager, irrespective of the fact that he may get them playing the best football in their history.
  6. Are Newcastle the new Norwich?
  7. I'm patient, the longer we drag the saga out, the more chance we have of cheering Luke and Adam as Saints players at the WC.
  8. Italy only drawing with Luxembourg? Lolz Oh, and lolz at Belgium too, who beat Luxembourg in a friendly last month, with Januzaj making his debut and Lukaku scoring a hat trick, only for the Belgium manager to make too many subs. Now the game has been downgraded to a practice match, meaning Lukaku officially loses his hat trick stat and Januzaj hasn't made his debut! Lolz all round. As for England, I was working so missed most of it, but sounds like a cracking goal from Rickie. This makes me sad. Overall how did Shaw perform?
  9. Now that's irony!
  10. We had one that did similar and sacked him, in the form of Adkins! Football Manager stuff. Oh, and you're forgetting the one, salient point about Moyes... ...has a ****gable daughter. :-)
  11. I'm going to get Messi to sign my Saints shirt. Or, just like Del Boy, a piece of paper which later turns out to be a 6 year contract.
  12. Phil Neville at a push...
  13. Played as an amateur in England and studied in Brighton! Random...
  14. It's the waiting that kills... ...mind you with no transfers stated until a manager is brought in, maybe it pays to wait a bit.
  15. A few squad strengtheners perhaps or Dan Burn for defensive potential, but the only player they have that I'd consider possible first choice is Stekelenberg. If he stays fit enough...
  16. I refuse to believe anything bad until it's been confirmed. Just like the time I sharted but only admitted to it when I saw the skid marks later that evening...
  17. Had to pop to WHL as Poch nicked the keys to the manager's office.
  18. Would add some bite to our toothless defence. Not sure about Caulker though...
  19. If we get Koeman, it'll spice up the United games. Koeman was Van Gaals assistant at Barcelona. I'm hoping for a little favouritism with loanees and ting. Like the relationship Sir Alex had with his son...
  20. I'm in my prime position at work at Heathrow T123, I'll let you know if I see anyone resembling Koeman/Goldmember heading towards the National Express coaches. I once saw Bobby Zamora (at the time playing for West Ham) in an Arsenal t shirt. I thought I might have been ITK then until I remembered Zamora was never good enough to play for them! I did just see Chris Hughton but I sold him a single to Harwich International, to get rid of him. (This may not be true...)
  21. 2 of those 3 please. We need 2 strikers now, why not? Bony and Welbeck would be perfect as Welbeck can play deeper, although he's said he wants a striker role so we'd have to accommodate that. Anyway it's moot as we don't know who the new manager is. Would Welbeck want to play with Moyes again?
  22. He's been assistant manager at Barca and for Holland too. For Barcalona he was assistant to Van Gaal too, an interesting link for the Premier League.
  23. So the club announced today that no more transfers will be decided until we have a new manager in place. If that's to be believed, do you think the club will drag out the managerial appointment so we don't get any outs before the World Cup? Or is that wishful thinking?
  24. I'd love to know how much the add ons are in Lambert's transfer fee. £2 million if Liverpool win the League, £2 million if they win the CL? Could be an expensive 32 year old!
  25. I'm devastated. My missus always reckons I had a man crush on Rickie and it's true that I respected him more than most Saints players I've supported in 25 years. He was loyal, he often praised Saints, and in particular it's fans, for all the chances he got playing in higher leagues, and yet it was because of his goals and all round play that we got to play in higher leagues. Now the opportunity to play for his dream club has come along, and I won't deny him that. I bet he never thought it would happen, and yet here is the chance. I wish him all the best, for a Liverpool and England. Saints have got millions for an ageing player, a player that some on this message board have thought was on the decline over the last year and occasionally looks unfit at times this past season. I fail to see how this is bad business. We'll miss Rickie's prescence at SMS but I look forward to the new strikers we'll have at the club, the new legends in the making.
