  1. SNSUN - Saint No Stopping Us Now O RLY - Oh Really? YA RLY - Yes Really. NO WAI - No Way!
  2. My missus is massively in love with David Bentley, after she met him when he played for Norwich. (I'd question her judgement but then she is with me after all...) I'd love it if we signed him as I'd never have to persuade her to come to St Mary's ever again! He's a good player too, would sort the right midfield spot out, but I'd suggest he's destined for a mid-table Prem team. I'm loving the names we're linking ourselves with on here, but I reckon our first signing will bring us back to earth with a bump.
  3. Blackpool up please, and I'd say that every second of every minute, every minute of every hour, every hour of every day, every day of every week, every week of every year, every year of every decade, every decade of every century and every century of every millenium. West Ham will win though, they're simply a better team.
  4. Putney, but it was for a friends birthday which annoyingly fell on the same day. For food in Putney though, I recommend Pretos. All you can eat meat. Is there anything better? (Especially washed down with lots of wine.)
  5. I think 4-4-2 has its merits but I do like the 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation where the two wide front men can pull deep if needed. It's probably a formation better suited to away games as we have in the past, but I think it could be a good formation in the Prem, especially against the big boys. Our team needs pace though, massively.
  6. I had a look in a tranny window once. What I saw was far from superb.
  7. Pleased. He's class and will continue to prove it, but unlike Walcott in '06, he needs to play. Good addition. Pleased for Ruddy too, he's had a good season. Weakest position? Attack.
  8. In the Metro we're being linked to HArry Kane, currently of Spurs but on loan at Millwall. I think people that saw him was saying he's good. Any info?
  9. Actually we shouldn't sign Jordan Rhodes because the last Jordan R......... we had playing for us was bad driver. FACT.
  10. He's a good age and still learning the game. He'd be a brilliant signing for us because not only do I think he'd score a few in the Premiership, he'd be brilliant in the Championship if we dropped back down. (I hate thinking like that but I'm sure even Adkins and Cortese have contingency plans in place.)
  11. Jordan Rhodes AGAIN scores tonight. 40 goals for the season is fantastic, Huddersfield will go up this season IMO but I'd be surprised if he was there next season.
  12. They didn't care he'd gone, and we love him. Some players fit some clubs better than others and Jos is a fit for this club.
  13. Bump. Any more guesses? Fan The Flames - you have 3 days left to hope you're right!
  14. The only thing you could say about him is that it has been a long hard season and perhaps he'll be knackered, but my God does he have an eye for goal right now. Portugal aren't a bad team either really, so I'd be surprised if he wasn't one of the top 4. Pogrebniak and Jelavic have been superb this year for their domestic clubs since signing - it makes you wonder whether they'll be on a high for the Euros. Good each way shout, if so.
  15. Tomas Pekhart 150/1 LOL
  16. Cristiano Ronaldo for 14/1? I'm having a ton on that thanks.
  17. Wiki is your friend: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grope****_Lane. Obviously type it in manually.
  18. Chris Lane. ('Tis my name, that's why!)
  19. Damn, I set a reminder on my phone to start this thread today! I'd love to have gone. Poor Matt, a year later we're in the FA Cup final. Who'da thunk it.
  20. The site got more hits when I got my first smart phone...
  21. Didn't Butterfield recently get a new deal? Perhaps Adkins sees another year out of him as back up until Stephens is ready to come in. As for Hammond, I'd actually be very surprised if he left. We need some modicum of consistancy and while we don't think Hammond is Premier League quality, he shows fighting skills and has been our captain for three seasons so Adkins could see him as a decent back up player. Norwich kept Lappin for instance, who's not Premier League quality, and Swansea kept Tate and Monk which people would perhaps have thought were not Premier League quality. If we go up and get relegated after one season, we'd potentially lose the Lallanas and Morgans of the world too, and Hammond would become invaluable to us. The Kraken's list is about right, with question marks over Harding perhaps.
  22. Or the nervousness of being the only promoted club in two seasons to have been relegated... The only Southern team I care about is Southampton. West Ham can do one. Come on Blackpool.
  23. Care to paraphrase? I only read The Pink at Winchester services on the way to home games, and even then I don't pay for it.
  24. Ours. If what happened to City happened to us, I'd be running around St Marys going mental and grabbing ladies' bewbs in celebration.
  25. Lallana voted POTS with 23 goals from midfield, Lambert with 35 goals for the season and 6 caps to his name, and Guly getting goal of the season with a reverse chip over David De Gea in our 4-1 demolition of Man Utd at Old Trafford. Funnily enough you'd think one of those players would be Southampton fans' POTS, but summer signing Jonny Evans from Manchester United is an ever present rock in the heart of defence.
