That may be why we've pulled out of it. Fulham are welcome to him, if so.

I guess it's off, but did Buttner play for Vitesse tonight?
-
I've done that. Twas an army bloke in civvies. I only found out afterwards. I don't recommend it, intoxicated or not.

I've been having proper lols thi summer with my fake football rumours rumours. It gets people devoid of a sense of humour very worked up. Tis funneh.

Good at being in the pub/knobbing the wife/being anywhere but at work.

CB, CB, GK, LB, RM would make us a complete team IMO, although we could get through to January with one CB, a LB and a RM IMO. I'm a glutton for signings though, I love them and it perks me right up. If I were a Watford fan. I'd have been a bit moist yesterday when they signed seven! Come on Saints, three in today!!! -

Done. I'm happier with the Premier League team than the Sky team but neither will win. Crudzilla to finish last! -
I'm ITK. He also shaves, eats food, and has a penis.

When people come up to me at work and say "Hi, how're you doing?" They're not wrong in saying it, and yes it's polite, but what do they think, I'm stuck at work when I'd rather be in the pub/knobbing the wife/be anywhere but there. Short of replying "Well I'll be happier when I'm finished", customer service dictates that "I'm good". :-D

It hasn't happened yet. It was a premonition I invented so that the song worked.

Tony Dorigo never played for us, but I vaguely remembered a random left back that joined us, and after much research on the internet, I found him, although he's listed as a striker - Jason Bowen. Anyone remember his spell for us?
-
That is a cracking "news" article in The Star. They may as well have stuck a pair of boobs in there to liven it up a bit. So, does anyone actually know anything about Adam Davies? Aside from his name is Adam Davies, he's a keeper and he's from Everton? I take it this means Gazzaniga is our number 2?

... as long as it's not niggling or repetetive, that's good news. Still, if we did sign, say, Gary Hooper now, I wouldn't go round complaining we didn't need another striker. -
"Nathaniel Clyne, good times never felt so good, I am inclined, to believe they never would...." Tune of Sweet Caroline, lyrics altered.
-
Same tune, I was going with "Dogging with Clyne is so fine, so fine, Dogging with Clyne is so fine."... following his early season exploits in the New Forest.

Wouldn't hurt to bring another one in for a testing first season. We don't know the extent of Lee's injury. Sharp, Lambert and JRod alone all season would be pushing it. If we can afford a striker as well as three defenders, a keeper and a right winger, it wouldn't hurt to look if the right target became available. (I do however think we'll stick with what we have until at least January.) -

QPR's signings would underwhelm me if I were a Ranger's fan. Aging nomads looking for a last pay day, Fabio, who's proven to be not as good as his twin, and Junior Hoilett who's a good signing but still potential. Park is probably the signing I'd have been happiest with, and it's yet to be proven how good he is in a team that isn't Man Utd! Reading fans are excited with their signings too. Not sure I'd be. -
"Know what I mean". No, I don't, because you talk like an arse. Incidentally this thread should be in the Lounge. Far too sensible for the Muppet Show.

I would never fly EasyJet or Ryanair, too many bad stories from friends. Strangely though I don't have a problem with Thomson, First Choice or Thomas Cook flights. I'm off to Cyprus to my Dad's place in September, and Thomas Cook was by far the cheapest flights I found, and they do a bundle too, which includes a meal, allocated seats and 20kgs of luggage in the hold. Good value it was, and cheaper than Easyjet or Ryanair once you've added on all their extras.

You could see a non-league team getting conned like that, but not a Premier League team with a big name manager. A one off that will never be repeated. Perhaps not the worst transfer ever but Fernando Torres must be up there in terms of money paid.He did start to show some form at the tail end of last season though, and I think he'll have a good season coming up.

I mustard mit I wasn't planning on watching it, but the missus insisted. I'm bloody glad she made me watch it, it was brilliant, very entertaining, funny and inspirational all at once. Everything seemed to go to plan. Video interspersed with live stadium footage worked well too. Perhaps the best compliment is that the introduction of the teams aside, the 4 hours seemed to fly by. Liked it lots. I was impressed by the Olympic cauldron too (or whatever it's called.) Very impressive to have all the teams represented, then it lifted into one. My old critique is that some of the camera angles were a bit off, but that's really only to be expected with that many people and animals wandering around!

Not one mention for Ali Dia? I know he wasn't a transfer as such but not one mention on here until now? Possibly the worst thing any team in the whole wide world has ever done. And we had the privilege of it happening to us. Even though no money exchanged hands, it was still the worst 'transfer' in the history of the world. My vote? Marco Boogers. Joined the Hammers under 'Arry and got sent off in his second appearance, then got injured, then got depressed and lived in a caravan. Apparently.

Buttner, Lens, and Dann would be a pretty good week next week. And of course we're waiting for Butland to finish at the Olympics before we pursue him. That's 4 signings, and we'll be bringing in one more CB too. 5 signings by the end of August. Sweet. (I am not ITK.) -
Great! Then we can re-sign Bale, Dyer, Mills, Crainie, Surman, Dex, Best, Bridge and Oakley and have a nearly full ex-academy side! Yay! Of course this isn't going to happen, but it was fun reading it this morning.Even a season long loan would be out the question, he's too valuable a player for Arsenal.
