Lallana sounds like he's having a great game. Haven't heard Lambert or Guly mentioned much, but maybe that's because I have my missus in my other ear.

Harding gives SNSUN a hardon.

Need some more 100% performances. GOAL!!!!! Harding!!!

Afternoon all. Up for 3 this morning for work, home at one and just had a nap. I knew it was a mistake missing a bit of the game, but I'm back now, so business as usual for Saints. (i.e. winning!) Bugger. Starting.......Now. Not over until the fat lady sings.

Constipated Clive was asked how he was feeling after finally voiding his bowels. "Good. Much better."

Nobody can tell how players we could've signed but haven't would've done had they signed for us, and so any 'missed' transfer is not relevant. They could've performed badly, or broken their leg, or raped a Southampton woman and been jailed for 5 years. When we miss a player, the timeline is diverted and the timeline where they come to us no longer exists. Then Marty McFly gets into the deLorean and goes back in time to get a blow job off his mum, and as a result Cortese is a hero. With the six million quid being touted for one or two of the strikers we're linking ourselves with, it worries me a tad. On one hand, we'll be showing ambition and Saints fans will be 'quick-fix' happy. On the other hand it's a lot of money to spend on one player when playing in the second flight. Look at Delgado and Delap. Hardly successes. Someone young that we invest in well would please me, but I'm sure Cortese and Adkins are still working hard to bring in the right player/s.

Let's show that Nicky Maynard which club is TRULY the better destination.

I knew it. My missus was lying, I AM marrying into the largest family in the world. (Besides Portsmouth.)
-
If we brought in two strikers, say Baldock and Le Fondre, then fine. But we need one key addition up front. As has been said on this thread, Jutkiewicz would be my choice, followed by Maynard.

I will stick my winkle into anything with boobs and flaps, and there must be some footballers that share my view, otherwise how do you explain all the footballers in Norwich?

I hope so, I love a deadline day signing. I reckon we'll have our striker and centre back by then, even with the Fontaine deal falling through, and that it'll be a suprise signing in a position we didn't think we needed. (GK or RB are my guesses.) Something suprising is coming, I can feel it in me bones. We'll use our first 4 game form to our advantage. (Disclaimer: If nothing happens I deny all knowledge of this post.)

Billy Big Bum can bugger off. (God I love aliteration). He didn't want to play for us in League One, he thought he was better than that. Just because he now sees us moving in an upwards direction, he now wants in? Tough. Don't want him here - sell him and spend the money on someone more worthwhile. Like a bonus for the catering staff.

As long as he doesn't play LjubiWjanki.

There's got to be a caption competition with this photo. His nipples look like they could cut glass.

You can only beat what's in front of you.

I have it on good authority that it's ********. I don't think he'd like being behind future England striker Rickie Lambert in the pecking order.
-
Report in The Sun today stated that Rotherham are holding out for £500k. If that's the asking price, I think most of the nPC and League One would be getting the cheque book out. Half a million isn't a lot of money if he proves to be arse in the Championship.

Agree 100%. This is why Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the year, before the crap presents, family arguments and boredom set in on Christmas Day.

There's a few clubs on the radar, don't know how true it is that we're involved. People say 4th official is usually pretty reliable. For me, a young striker is key, we don't have any bar Doble and it's unsure if he'll ever make the grade. I don't know much about Waghorn, but for me, if we were to take anyone off Leicester, I'd like that Schlupp bloke. He was very good for Brentford at the tail end of last season and is only 18.

Southampton FC unbeaten in 2011-2012. They'll write songs about us!

I think it was your namesake Barry Fry that used to lump all three subs on at halftime if his team weren't doing well!

This is why if I were a lower league manager I'd injure my best player until September! Good starts to the season always take notice of the big clubs. Talksport today had the MK Dons manager on, he said that he knew of the scouts that were at the ground, and he wouldn't get in anyone's way of playing in a higher league. He sounded a bit like he was admitting defeat. Seeing Baldock's third goal on TFLS, it was something special. Great close control, but as I put on another thread, would Saints fans be happy with signing a lower league player? Peterborough had a bid accepted of £1.2 million in the summer - would be the budget option rather than Maynard/E-Blake/J Rod.

Mentioned the "4 wins at the start of a new campaign for the first time ever" thing when showing the League tables at the end. Bed time now IMO.

Antonio scores for Colchester. HCDAJFU. :-)
