  2. Legoland is one of the obvious choices, but as an ex-passenger boat skipper in Windsor I will talk up the boat trips from the promenade! Not too expensive and fun for the kids. Plus there's a bar on board. You could picnic on the Brocas, weather pending, too. Depending on how old the children are, there's a little kiddy funfair a short walk up the promenade too. It's been there since I was a kid. Having lived there all my life it's hard to view it through the eyes of a tourist. I've never been in the castle for instance!
  3. Best bet was at Windsor (my local track) races a couple of years ago. I bet on a horse called Aahayson at 24-1, £10 to win. I don't normally bet so much, certainly not on a horse to win, but it came up trumps and I won £250. I normally look at form but on this occasion I went for it because my girlfriend's name is Aaran. (but that's another story.) Worst bet was Saints staying up in the Prem relegaton season.
  4. IMO being called Kelly is reason enough to be booed. :-D
  5. I'd be suprised if Lallana, Surman and McG were here next season (if we actually exist next season!). While this season has been woeful, these are the players other teams will snap up to play in the CCC or even the Premiership as they can cut it at the higher level. Despite this, even if we're in League One I don't think we'll be in too much trouble. Gobern, McKlaggon, Mills and Gillett will be first teamers I reckon.
  6. Nearly Kaka'd in my pants.
  7. I've not had internet access for a while, and ergo have missed the discussion on this, but I thought if we got a points deduction after the deadline, then the points deduction happened next season? Anyone elaborate on this? All in all I'm confused about the current situation. Hope it gets sorted. UTS.
  8. If we win this, I'm going to do a little wee. If we lose this, I think I may cry. 1-0 down already, and feeling poo. Fingers cross. Come on Saints!
  9. Today - Work Tomorrow - Work Sunday - Work. Nothing ever changes. Although this weekend I will be deciding which Egg to buy my missus for easter and deciding which team to support should the worst happen.

RIP Stevo. Someone been busy with the felt tips?
  11. And yet in CM96-97 he was a reliable goal source. ;-)
  12. Many Saints fans, myself in all honesty included, are a fickle bunch. While I have all but given up hope this season, a victory over Charlton (and possible escape from the Zone) would really start to make things interesting. Self-belief has been lacking as, until the run of three victorys, we had been quite poor all season. For me, the Forest game at home before Christmas was the landmark of our season, with them struggling and, even then, it was a potential six-pointer. I also saw the 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace in December with a Palace-supporting mate, and very few times before have I been that embarrassed. Our defending was poor, and I'm quite glad the Reading lad was recalled as he was dire. The little patch of form we have had with the 3 victories and draws since has, in fact, made the season more difficult for me to cope with. Now we have a chance. Had we not hit the form, we'd have been fighting to beat Charlton to 30 points. Now there is hope. There is apathy, but a couple of victories in the next few games could really get the numbers back on here.
  13. Well I'm still at work, my shift officially finshes at half one, and I've just watched the clocks jump from 1am to 2am. This shift is now dragging like a sod. :-( On the flip side, only 3 hours from when I get home until the F1 starts, not 4.
  14. I have a suspicion that rape on the trains would prevail before violence. Although, I suppose, they are one and the same.
  15. I am working tonight til two, so I'm guessing it'll technically be three. Right? I can never fathom these things out.
  16. I am at work, and if I switch the lights off, the Underground will be plunged into darkness. Which, while fun, could cause mass rape or violence.
  17. Friday - Work Saturday - Work Sunday - Work. Some things don't change.
  18. Never. No-one can be that short of options that they have to tread on familiar ground. There are plenty of members of the opposite (or same if we're being PC) sex out there. I would not count schoolkid relationships amongst these. If my schoolboy girlfriend is out there and wants some grown-up SNSUN, she can have me. :-)
  19. I'm currently a Michael McIntyre fan, I saw his DVD and thought it was very funny. I like his style although, like Jimmy Carr, I can see why he's not to some people's tastes. Would like to get tickets.
  20. Has to be pink lady's, I'm eating one right now, although I am not against a Granny Smith or Golden Delicious.
  21. Love them. It's not possible to lose. It gives us the respite of the rollercoaster ride that is Saints for two weeks.
  22. I'm quite worried by the loan signings of other clubs today. Blackpool have signed Lee Hughes, a striker that can put them away, Forest brought in Blackstock too. Two good loan signings IMO.
  23. W38 **** knows what leg I am. I always buy jeans that are too long for me anyway. Yes I'm overweight. Meh.
  24. Right, just completed by first season in the Premiership. I avoided the drop with one game to spare following a fairly good home record, the standout result being a 1-0 win at Anfield. Towards the end of the season my defence were all getting injured, leaving me with a few youngsters I'd picked up to carry the can. What a relief staying up is though! I had already signed a few Bosmans, which I'd done in the hope I could stay up as the wages in the CCC would have been crippling. Now the board have given me transfer money for the first time since I started the game, and a huge wage boost to boot. I'm looking forward to next season, especially as I've just got Ched Evans on a Bosman (although with huge, stupid wages). Whether I do well next season is dependant on loan defensive signings. (I'm useless at purchasing defenders. At the end of the season, my best team was: David Grof (21 year old keeper displaced Sjanic mid-season and kept him out. Attitude problem though.) Marvin Elliot (Better in midfield but a solid right back nonetheless and captain) Nedum Onuoha (A loan, but top notch. Best defender all season. Shame I couldn't get him permanently.) Glauber (Man City reserve. Pretty poor, but has height. Seems to be popular as everyone wants to sign him. They can have him!) Lesley Fellani (Unknown Haitian left back. Signed him on a free in the CCC as cover and has made the position his own, even allowing me to sell Surman for millions.) Nathan Dyer (Hasn't been as good in the Prem but still won me games.) Castillo (Great stats, good player, but better in the CCC.) Richard Hughes (Free from Pompey. Best signing. Player of the year two seasons running) Ismodes (Pacy loanee winger, and goalscorer. When everyone's heads fell mid-season, he was still topping the average ratings charts) Danny Wellbeck (Man Utd youngster. Promising future with my team, but not the finished article yet...) Vonlanthan (Swiss attacker. Top goalscorer with 10 goals. Shows you my season!) Boy I struggled, but I have a big squad so coped. A big squad is everything.
  25. In fairness, we'd all feel pretty gutted if we went into administration, took the points deduction this season, and then got enough wins to stay up anyway. :-)
