Firday - Working. :-( Saturday - Found out earlier today I've been granted a days annual leave tomorrow, so shopping followed by drinking. Sunday - Recovery, and the first day of 2 weeks off. :-)

Seconded. The transformation into the ex-Saints XI is nearly complete. Now to flog them Rasiak, Saga, John and Skacel for exhorbitant sums. :-)

Last year, the girlfriend and I had saved up enough to stick a 10% deposit down on a place. I had close to 16k, and my missus had saved up about 5k. Then the market continued to go pants up, so much so that 10% mortgages hardly exist anymore. My parents, while financially poor, do have four properties, so when we were priced out of buying, I looked to renting, in the knowledge that one day in my life I could potentially own my own place. (Albeit inherited). I can honestly say I'm very happy as a renter. We didn't take any old crap that the lettings agent offered us, and we set our sights on a 2 bedroom cottage in good condition. Our landlord is a decent guy, willing to let us do pretty much whatever we like to the house to style it our way, as long as we finance it, and he lives in Northern Ireland so is not always in our faces. He's even said if we save up enough, he'd sell it to us for a bargain price. Not that we'd buy it, but it is a good rental. Yes, we're effectively paying mortgage payments for a place that will never be ours, but we have freedom to move if we so choose, and don't have to stump up huge bills on major house repairs. Nice.

I'm up about £60, not including my savings account. That said, I didn't include random binge drinking evenings, nor the fact that I'm determined to quit smoking in the next couple of months.

As my missus is a Norwich fan, I will very much be hoping that they join us in the third league. I couldn't stand the gloating if they survived. That said, I have a few Brentford supporting mates here at work, and will be looking forward to escorting them to the match.

Well it has been coming. Frankly I'm not suprised, it would've caused no end of grief for the FA had the intended loophole worked. Now the players need to work their arseholes off to win the next two games. I doubt it'll happen, but we need to limit the troubles to this season in order to start with a clean(ish) slate. Yes, we're down no metter what. But we need that points deduction to happen this season, not next. If we DO get it next season? Well, I will be hoping for a fresh new team come the start of next season so we can rapidly climb up the table. Rock Bottom? We've just hit it.

Finally on one of the these freds I can bleat about not working this weekend, but yours truly decided to work today as I need the money so I've ruined a perfect 3 days off. Friday - Work Saturday - Off. Guess I'll be dragged round shops with the missus. Will probably do the cinema in the evening to watch that Nicolas Cage thing. Sunday - Off. I would like to drink myself into a stupour. Monday - Off.

Look forward the the new Ghostbusters game coming out later this year though. Effectively it's Ghostbusters 3, as they opted against doing another movie. I'm hoping it opens up excitable memories of my childhood!

I once invented a sauce which was effectively mayonaise and tomato sauce mixed together. I called it Pink Paste and was going to patent it until someone told me that it was effectively just Thousand Island dressing, which already existed! Twas the most popular of the sauces (aside from Mayo) on the salad cart in the Harvester when I worked there age 16.

Tad late but: Good Friday - It wasn't. Stayed in due to rain, played FM 2007 all day. (My gf's computer is turd and can't cope with FM09!) Went for dinner with my sister and her fella in t'evening. Saturday - Worked. Sunday - Worked. Today - Working. Lond Weekend off my arsehole.
