Long - MotM for me. Surprised he wasn't subbed as he was completely ****ged given the amount of running he did. Virgil - made one small mistake (not too dangerous) and dealt with pretty much everything in his usual non-plused manner. Davis - another good performance under the radar. Cedric - another great game Forster - thank **** he is back. I think it gives the defence peace of mind with him rather than Stek. Mané - should have had a hattrick Clasie - getting better....best game so far. Targett - defending not his strongest suit, so maybe a little further forward is better for him. Yoshida - didn't **** it up Pelle - now, this is the interesting one for me. I know he has been off for a fair while so lacks match sharpness, but then I guess so did Cedric. But when he came on, the attack naturally slowed down a lot, given that he isn't the fastest in the world. To me now, Long is the one who should be picked first as the pace that he and Mané have seems to work better than the hold up & play off style that Pellè brings.

Serves him right for being such a ****. Bit like this, although he doesn't get knocked off:

Urrrr, not really my cuppa. But if any consolation, Kenzie Benali looks OK, and I do find women in a Saints shirt sort of sexy (not always though!)

Would people hypothetically pay more at the gates for more signings?

I'm hoping my ST will get cheaper rather than go up any more, but realise this is unlikely to happen. -
I mentioned this to my neighbours. Seemed a bit ridiculous.

Great. Got some selfie takers in front of me wearing half and half scarves

I agree with the OP that it isn't very Saints. And TBH having the same as Stoke but inverted isn't a real seller either.

Give him his due, Poch is a pretty good coach (that is if you haven't been excluded by him).

VVD - good Clasie - jury out Romeu - OK Juanmi - jury out Soares - ok/good Caulker - loan so doesn't really count and was backup but superfluous given we signed VVD Martina - OKish esp when taking price into account. Stekelenburg - loan but OK at best. ----- Mané - good Long - OK/good Tadic - good Bertrand - good Forster - good Pellè - good Gardos - who knows? Taider - loan that lasted lasted a day Alderweireld - loan, good. Djuricic - loan not great, but wasn't dreadful and had some skill Elia - loan to bolster squad. So which were the ****e signings of his?
-
Possibly, possibly not. If they aren't good enough there seems little point patting them on the back saying "Well done boys" when you don't mean it. Saying they are crap might focus their efforts more. Certainly if the manager (of the first team) said that about me, I'd say "Oh really? I'll show you" and redouble my efforts.
-
How many players, who aren't still youngsters, move from mid tabled PL clubs to a big boy and are actually successful? Looking at the PL now, you might consider Benteke to have worked and Alderweireld, are there any more? Maybe my brain isn't working well, but that's about it.

Oh well. Some you win, some you lose

Are tickets ever on sale to Joe Public for U21 @ Staplewood?

Have high hopes our fortunes will change with FF back between the sticks.

James Ward-Prowse's list of indisputable, unimprovable weaknesses

What annoys me about all this is how they have had their heads turned so easily. Whether it is their agent, or other clubs slipping titbits to journalists, the stories have been out there for months. Still ****ed off with Wanyama effectively playing like a pussy and getting knocked out of Europe. I know that it is incredibly naive to think that tapping up isn't going to happen, but it seems to happen so easily with our players and they go to **** so easily with it. Maybe that is the idea. Big club wants our player. Feeds pet journo, or the agent does the feeding. Player goes to **** to the detriment of the team, so solution is to cash in. I like Ian Wright's view - Mané needs to pull his socks up and get Saints out of the mire we are in if he wants his move because as he is at the moment, he doesn't deserve to go anywhere. It's the ugly side of football which I find so depressing that it always leads me to question why I in fact bother still go when I find the financial side of things so abhorent. And then we get games like Boxing Day...!

Am afraid to say, without the Saints rose tinted glasses on, but I think MP is a better manager. Having said that, I am more than happy with RK as there seems to be a friendlier and more open feel about the club, given that the manager is the mouthpiece of the club.
-
I'll never boo a player wearing a Saints shirt. It would be detrimental to the team. That X or Y might be a tool and not want to be here, well, I'm pragmatic about these sort of things and don't really expect anyone to show undying love for Saints when a bigger fish sniffs around. Why would anyone expect them to behave in a gentlemanly manner?
-
Agree. Question is....do Spurs have better U21 than us?
-
Guess it means we won't be seeing many from the academy coming through if RK stays. And there I was thinking that he told everyone that he liked to bring through the youngsters like Poch did. Well, he hasn't and it looks like he won't either.

Looks like he is on the move YET again. So glad that we terminated things, took the hit and moved on. http://talksport.com/football/former-southampton-flop-dani-osvaldo-set-leave-porto-serie-returm-151229179285?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TransferRumours+%28RSS%3A+Transfer+Rumours%29
