  1. http://www.s24su.com/forum/index.php?threads/saints.36634/ They seem to be happy enough. Their confidence rather reminds me of ours when we had Utd in the FA Cup.
  2. Agree. The worst thing that MP did last year was the cup competitions. We all know Sunderland away. Showed a huge disrespect to the fans and club. Funny though, that if we had gone through and won the competition, then Spurs would have missed out on Europe. Coincidence I'm sure.
  3. Yup, shame not home, but....
  4. With only 5 goals let in in the league, maybe Forster being beaten in these games is useful.
  5. ****. Go out for a walk and it all kicks off
  6. Not gone soon enough! **** it. Might as well not go now.
  7. Time to take the dogs for a walk I think.
  8. I like Long. He can handle all the shït that is being thrown at him without being intimidated.
  9. Nice to see Stoke are such a sporting side!
  10. Thought Gardos was doing well until those slips

    Update:

The fact that no contract has come seems obvious that Cork's future is not certain. While we might well sign another player, I would actually prefer to have English even if it wasn't quite as good. But...if it meant Europe then maybe I could stow my thoughts.
  12. But the cost of the players on the pitch far far outstripped the cost of ours. I know that's not a perfect measure but they weren't completely shït
  13. **** me that was good
  14. At this early stage you would have to worry about Villa, Sunderland, QPR and Burnley......and us!! http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/10/27/saints-arent-out-of-relegation-trouble-yet-suggest-sunderland-ac/
  15. The Dell was 110 x 72 yards = 100.58 x 65.84 meters
  16. http://www.eyefootball.com/news/21134/Tottenham-Charlie-Austin.html I can see this and think it might be more likely than JRod, due to the risk of the ACL. Didn't Austin have a serious injury with his knees hence why clubs were a bit wary on signing him? I see JRod, Austin, Ings being of a similar type, with JRod being the best (pre ACL) but of course I would!
  17. You would have thought so, hence why The Dell was such a fortress.
  18. Sizes (old PL so not this year with Burnley etc) http://worldsoccertalk.com/2007/10/22/top-20-biggest-pitches-in-the-premier-league/
  19. Ah, so that was the reason they haven't ever won the PL. Interesting when these excuses come out. Often in life, the initial excuses given aren't the real ones. Saint_Tony wrote that he has heard that all is not well behind the scenes, so maybe this is part and parcel of it.
  20. I'm married (with kids), so well know the relative probability of getting laid.
  21. I disagree that +0.4 is significant, but that is opinion. But I am curious why you would use Pearson's r? I thought Spearman was more appropriate as we were dealing with ranked variables, but do tell why you think it mightn't be. I am sure that you could have used Kendall's tau, but as I was taught by Spearman's grand son, I rather favour him, as well as it being the more widely used. And also, let's face it, Spearman is pretty damn easy to calculate.
  22. Lovren was miles off Emnes
  23. Yes - that jumped out at me as well. TBH Toby has had very little to do so far, and in the last two games pretty much nothing. At least it wasn't "they'll never finish their (ie top 4)" and was more, the games against last years top 6 MIGHT trip us up.
  24. OMG - that's not what I thought it was!!! Neither of the first two according to Urban Dictionary!!!!
  25. If he goes, he goes. Comes down to whether you have faith in the board and manager to handle transfers properly. Now that Cortese is out of the picture (yes, I am blaming him for Osvaldo, Forren and to a lesser extent Ramirez), I wonder whether people think they can do a proper job!? (rhetorical)
