Agree and whilst disappointing it's only the first game. However, it doesn't really back his claim of having four different formations during a game RH has to change the game
-
Only positive from this is RH will rip them a new one and we never perform this badly again - hoping!

Ok just saw this: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/fulham-in-pole-position-to-sign-southampton-player/ so maybe they are after both??

Wrong Reed - it's Bobby Reed according to Sky

No worries. Just giving my view that I do not think Ings is in form as yet, and thought in an amusing way? Clearly not how someone saw it (not that I am bothered). Will be delighted if he scores the winning goal all the same. Too good not be tempted - just put a £50 bet on Ings to score the opener.

You should know! Well picked avatar btw. Just keep your nose out where it doesn't belong.
-
Willing to bet you £100 Ings will not score in Burnley match if you are up for it?
-
Why do you keep spouting merde?? Nothing, and I mean not a single thing you claim has ever come to fruition.

Lol - ok, give you that one - my bad :-)

Christ, they're all out today - must be something in the air. Would call them kids, but that would be unfair to our little people!

In the fans evening event, RH mentioned just because a youth player had played for the first team once or twice did not mean they had made it. They had to have the right attitude that got them there and needed to maintain it, and some where not doing it and would have to start again (paraphrasing). I think TJ is one he was referring to, among others. Think you can slacken off as you have played in the first team? Think again and prove you can keep improving. BTW, no suggestion of billy big boots, just that the intense effort RH demands dropped a tad. He made comments about Obefami not looking after himself, and maybe the lad took it on board and responded as RH wanted, so he stays and TJ is taught a valuable lesson?

You have to wonder why certain people "claim" to support Saints, when they clearly have nothing good to get from the club. No likely, move on veggie et al

No. Big missed opportunity.

Not having a go (or Goa if you like?) but how is this supposed to be funny, let alone Saints related? Lack of footy maybe, or just me?

Mentioning Osgood - on a different note, a group of us ended up in a pub near Windsor owned and run by Osgood and another ex-Chelsea player, Ian Hutchinson IIRC? It was 6 of us, and we got there just before 2 pm (closing time in those days). Got one round in, and when I went to get a second, Osgood said sorry mate closing time is 2 pm. I went on the charm offensive and told him he was my favorite ex-Saints player (partly true), and he served us another 5 rounds until 4 pm and even joined us for a couple (said if the old bill turn up say it's a private a party after closing :-). Top bloke - but he said whilst he enjoyed most of his time at Saints and had a fond memory, he was Chelsea first (no real surprise there). Attitude? Not in my books.

Sounds very plausible. If you look at Lemina's quotes carefully, there is no bad feeling on either side. He just says he has good communications with the club, but is frustrated due to his injuries last year he failed to make a greater contribution, and now Ralph is building his preferred starting team for the new season (presumably without Lemina). So if there are offers that suit both sides, then why not make a fresh start? Pity, but he was always going to move on eventually, so don't see why he is the villain all of a sudden. Good to see we seem to have rejected Arsenal's first offer - maybe we will get more than the rumored £18M?

Hugh Fisher - my first Saints game and but for him we would not have had our greatest fam. From wiki: His greatest moment in a Southampton shirt came in the 1975–76 season. The Saints were having a mediocre season in Division 2, but on 3 January 1976, in an F.A. Cup third round match at the Dell, Saints were 1–0 down against Aston Villa when, in the 89th minute of the game, the ball was crossed into the area by David Peach. The ball was touched on by Pat Earles to Mick Channon and back to Fisher, who shot the ball into the goal through a crowd of defenders. This goal, Fisher's first for 16 months, kept his side in the competition

How is that FF's fault? Maybe he should have refused the contract?? One of the great attractions of Saints is that we have always been a caring family club and look after our own - we go to great lengths to ensure our academy released players are found new clubs and/or new occupations etc. I for one certainly hope we don't lose this aspect. In the great scheme of things FF's contract is not the issue, more that it is one in a number of many many bad decisions and running of the club in the past 3 or so years.

Local rumor is they might play Bray. Will dig around and update if I can find anything more.

Not at all ITK, but how about €2M (not £2M) per year standard contract when he joined, and €4M bonus for keeping us up? So total earning last year €6M - much much better than £19M for last ditch crap managers even crappier unknown striker?

Some on here might want to pay attention to his comments regarding how difficult it is for a player from abroad to adjust to life in the PL both on and off the field. Without patience and support, particularly from the fans almost impossible.
