Expected downtime tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd July)
Whitey Grandad replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
I use a Samsung S8 and I was having some problems. When going to ‘unread threads’ Tapatalk was repeatedly taking me back to a previous point. Following an earlier suggestion I cleared the cache for the Tapatalk app and now it seems to be working properly. Go to settings and the app manager and find the Tapatalk app. Press on ‘storage’ and choose the option to delete the cache. -
But the same standard of referee is looking at the VAR. Just because you don't agree with a decision doesn't mean that the referee is bad. There is also the problem that all the referees seem to have invented new interpretations of the Laws.

Best Goals By Players Who Rarely Scored?

Chris Marsden away at Ipswich. -
If it's a TV screen it's a worse view than seeing it live. It's a different view, but it's not the real thing. Anyway, if somebody has to wade through 6 or 7 recordings it's going to take all day.

VAR is not a machine. It just a other referee with a worse view of the alleged incident.

Things you wished you realised earlier in life

...and if you had your time over again would you change your team? -
I don’t know what you think these graphs mean but they demonstrate that you only think in UK terms and not globally. That all looks pretty f***ked to me. If you think that the UK economy is doing well then you don’t know what good times are.

Si jeunesse savait, si vieillesse pouvait. -
Yep. And he gives away penalties too readily. His ego is bigger than his boots. Doesn’t stay calm and in control. I hope no prospective buyers are reading this
-
No I certainly don’t. It makes light of a very serious problem. This is no laughing matter. Brexit: We’re f***cked is more appropriate. And Dad’s army is so last century.

Although I agree with their sentiment it is not the place to wear them. They too are disrespectful but not quite to the same degree, in my view.

That life is something to be enjoyed and not endured. You only get one go at it so go for the best. -
We agree! He should have stuck to the man he was marking.
-
Or because he was too busy giggling at all the money that he was making.
-
Ok, thanks. Yep, from behind the head, thrown and not dropped etc.

And is also major shareholder in ‘The Brexit Party Ltd’ And as such will receive the majority of the dividends. Not for nothing does he bank at Coutts. For him Brexit is a nice little earner. Actually not so little.

I agree with this. -
Players we all thought were rubbish, but weren't

That’s because he was, and we suffered because of it. I was one of his biggest critics. It took him a long while to adjust to the Premier League which is why clubs like Liverpool prefer to let clubs like us develop them first. -
I didn’t watch the game but what makes you say that?
-
Childish, very childish. Not the best way to start a career in international politics and diplomacy. Get back to the playground where you belong. If you really hate the EU then why did you stand as an MEP?
-
The ball was crossed from the right but Stephens ran away from his man and up the pitch towards the edge of the penalty area, but you're right he's useless at marking. Goes off chasing rabbits.

Theresa May and the death of the Tory Party
Whitey Grandad replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
That’s what they will tell you publicly but money plays a big part. In my day doing engineering we had a five day week of four hours of attendance and three hours on a Saturday. They liked to keep the afternoons free so that we students could attend some sporting activities. I played football on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Those studying English had to produce one essay a fortnight. -
Not just you.
-
He runs away from the ball. I still have a nightmare vision of him at Wembley running away from Ibrahimovic and allowing him a free header.
-
Good. Now that means that he can play for us against Liverpool.
