Nothing wrong with the players, they are playing to the system that they have been coached. Control the game, keep your shape at all costs, guard against counter-attacks at all times. In other words, don't pile everything into attack because you might get caught at the back. Now, the big question is whether this is just down to the manager alone.

His initial position was good, he dived at full stretch and the ball went well past the end of his fingers and just inside the post. He wasn't late to the ball, it was just well-placed. What do you think should have happened? He was at fault at Brighton but yesterday was not a blatant error. I haven't found any criticism of him in the media. There is plenty to complain about, how the cross was allowed unopposed, how Yoshida didn't prevent a clean header but more importantly why weren't we already several goals ahead? It's a sorry state of affairs when the keeper is criticised for not saving a goalless draw at home.
