  1. Unless we sign him first, of course.
  2. Congratulations on the spelling, and your choice of destination! We had a six night stopover in the Outrigger Hotel on Waikiki Beach three years ago. It's a fantastic place and great fun. You'll want to go to Pearl Harbor and visit the Arizona memorial. Visiting times are restricted but you can either go on an organised tour or book your own slot in advance through the Parks Service in which case you'll have enough time to visit both the USS Missouri and the Museum of Pacific Aviation. http://www.recreation.gov/showPage.do;jsessionid=8F8CDAE895F158A4AB009EC222AD7D41.web08-ny?name=landing&landing=/htm/pearlharbor/home.jsp&contractCode=NRSO&parkId=72369
  3. Bit of each, usually.
  4. Bolton? I was standing behind the net for that one. My son left home late because of a stupid woman, got locked out of the ground and missed it.
  5. Far too many to pick out just the one, but... MLT against Arsenal at The Dell
  6. Paris is nearer.
  7. I think they're still working on the image rights business. Sol Campbell had some army-Barry about it IIRC.

Then take away their passports first.
  9. I was born within keep cling distance of White a Hart Lane and certainly wouldn't live anywhere near there. Professional footballers spend most of their working time at the training ground which for Tottenham is near the junction of the M25 and the A10 and a mile away from where my parents (and I) used to live. A lot of the players live further out in Hertfordshire or Essex. It can take an hour to get into central London from there, just as it does from Winchester. I suspect in most cases it's the wives who decide, after the money of course.
  10. Shame he can't play both at the same time.
  11. Congratulations on your impeding retirement. I hope to join you one day. Well, one year actually.
  12. These other clubs have had their day and have been replaced by others. Maybe this will happen to Liverpool?
  13. The circumstances are different. America is a much bigger country and it is quite possible for the searchers to find themselves one-on-one.
  14. 'Avrebbero offerto' is something like 'would have offered' which I take to mean 'are prepared to offer' and Juventus are thinking about it.
  15. It certainly wouldn't surprise me and I have a feeling that it goes on a lot more than we might suspect. I've seen a few incidents over the years where you might have said 'he could have done a lot better with that'.
  16. Just like Leeds, Nottingham Forest...
  17. A good player who was part of our rise. I've dealt with the loss. Now move on...
  18. If you need proof then you have no faith. Or something.
  19. Well, yes. By overinflated I mean that any indicated figure of net worth is very unlikely to be realised, unless some mug with even more money comes along.
  20. As I understand it, Saint-Armstrong explained this in his excellent post above. The story was issued through his account but somebody else pressed the send button. Alex may well have known of the contents but didn't choose the headline. It happens.
  21. I feel confident that the club know what they are doing. These matters may not be as simple as they appear. I would assume that if a player signs an extension then his book value as a capital asset increases and there may be Corporation Tax considerations involved.
  22. Indeed. The actual figures of 'net worth' are overinflated because if these people started to sell off their stocks in large numbers then their value would drop. Having said that, they can obviously lay their hands on a few million quid or so when they need to so to the likes of us they are indeed filthy rich.
  23. Me too, but sadly even I have begun to lose faith
